After a prompt initial phone call, John M. met me at my building, perfectly prepared to answer all my questions and he'd very obviously paid attention to my specific concerns from when we spoke (about being a messy tear-off in a tight, highly visible lot.) Worth noting, as a single woman business owner - John's candor and professionalism were greatly appreciated. He met / exceeded every promise on price, workmanship and completion date (which was not an easy goal to meet, but he got it done!) The process could not have been easier for me. And despite the fact CAB was by far the most equipped + experienced company I spoke to - they also came in with the lowest price. I recommend CAB Construction to anyone for roofing. When they came here to do our quote, they went up on our roof, did measurements, wrote out the full quote and gave it to us on the spot. This was surprising because we've had 5 or 6 quotes on our roof in the past couple years, and Integrity was the only company that even went on the roof. Also, their quote was much more detailed than the rest. It made us feel like they actually wanted the job. A few days before they started, they dropped off the shingles (they put them all on the house roof & garage roof), and separately dropped off the big dumpster for their trash. The workers were at our house early on the day of the job, I think it was about 7am. This isn't a complaint, it's just a warning to those with young kids or third shifters -- once they're on the roof, it's gonna be LOUD 'til they're done. The workers were quick, efficient and courteous. Around noon a man from Integrity stopped over to see if the crew needed additional supplies from the store, asked us if we had any questions, and brought the crew lunch. He was friendly and helpful to the workers and to us. The full job was done around 4pm including clean up. I only found 4 or 5 nails that they missed -- not too shabby considering the enormous amount of trash a 2 layer tear-off and a new roof creates. A few days after the job was complete, the owner came over to inspect the crew's work, and he asked if we had any questions or issues. We were really impressed by this, because often it's after the workers leave that you realize you had a question or two. It's a little difficult parting with that much money, but it was well worth it. We had one of those houses where the shingles were curling and falling off. When I look at our house these days, I don't have that aching feeling that the next storm may be the start of leaks inside our home. Now we've got one of the snazziest roofs on the block. Every part of our experience with Integrity was excellent; we highly recommend their work.

It's now November and they've done NOTHING. Nothing submitted to insurance, nothing done at my home. They put a tarp on part of the roof, and when it rained I realized it was the wrong part. That was never fixed, so every rain, more water in the dining room. I had to constantly call, every week to try and get an update only to be told "it's in supplementing" as if this was out of their control. What this really meant, was no one was doing anything, it was sitting on a desk while they took off to Florida after my $7k deposit hit their bank. Now no one answers when I call, the salesman - straight to voicemail, production manager - straight to voicemail. Finally got the owner on Facebook, and his only statement when I asked for a refund "It's a contract we signed." So we'll start dealing with THAT BS. He can't and won't fix it, and now he wants to prevent me from finding someone else to fix the holes in my roof. So DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. Avoid this company at all costs. Either I'm unlucky, or they bought a lot of reviews. Now that I've complained and wanted to fire them, NOW they want to force it on me. RUN

Well that was just the question I was trying to answer when I found Kettle Moraine Exteriors on a recommendation of a friend. This company is top notch. They came when they said they would to meet me and do the estimate. They saw additional structural problems and sent out an engineer to engage and solve the problem. They offered up solutions along the way and kept me informed at all junctures. They knew with an old house that it's the details that make the difference- and they worked to keep those details intact where they could. As with any old home project- this was not without issue. Once the old siding was off it was apparent that the house needed blown in insulation. They subcontracted and got it taken care of that day. In fact- they acted like the general contractor on a job that could have been "just a siding" job as they took care of the new storm windows, doors and even worked to get some period specific lighting installed on the porch.
