So weird, if you scroll down there are 13 reviews that Yelp claims are "that are not currently…read morerecommended" and they are all positive. For some reason only the negative reviews are showing up here on the main page. I know most of those 13 other people, they are great people and all have children at the preschool. They should most certainly be relevant. On with my review.... Being a new parent was very intimidating for me. Had they been boys, I likely would have been the "men don't cry, rub some dirt on it and walk it off" type dad. I'm extremely thankful I had two girls as it made me toss that parenting plan out the window. Sadly, I didn't have a backup in place. Our first daughter was around 18 months old or so and our photographer (who had 2 kids at WFP and also has a "not currently recommended review) strongly suggested WFP. We had actually started the preschool hunt about the same time, so we went to the open house. The open house was good, didn't blow our socks off or anything. We still shopped around for other schools. Most of the "preschools" we tutored, were really just day care. 2 or three burnt out adults trying to wrangle a mass of toddlers who have 0 impulse control. A couple of the tours were just an eyeful of staff running around putting out fires (not literally) and trying to keep the place in one piece. No time for nurturing, one on one care, educating. Really, just mayhem. Which of course has it's purpose as well, developing those social skills is very important and what better environment to do that in than the Thunderdome. Our eldest was very shy around strangers and had extreme separation anxiety. WFP won out our hunt simply because we could be there with her to hold her hand whatever that little brain was going through... Since my review is already getting a bit wordy, I'll just say this last week (3 years later) my daughter gave a presentation from her journal in front of the entire class as though no one else was there. She is strong, confident, and extremely outgoing. She has made quite a few friends at the preschool and by the end of the weekend she is excited to get back at it. Our youngest is frequently jealous of our eldest because she only gets to go to preschool one day a week (ups to 3 days a week next year). She has also flourished at the preschool though she is about as opposite of her sister as one could be. So I say thanks to WFP. My parenting plan is to raise confident women with a depth of self worth whose bottom will never be found and I strongly believe that Beth, Cecile, Jodie, and the other parents of WFP have given my girls the foundation they will need to achieve those goals.

Most reputed child care facilities do not accept kids after 3 years if they are not potty trained but the truth is not all kids get there by the mark of 3 and this school understands that and we are very grateful to Ms. Mannu who was able to work with us on this. My son is now 5 years old and he has moved through 4 different classes and teachers and has had the most wonderful time in every class. Every teacher has been so kind and so hands on, ensuring they work individually with every kid to make them comfortable and learn. All the teachers are so very welcoming and warm, happily share feedback. My son loves this school. School is very well managed and maintained. No concerns with amenities or cleanliness. Staff is organized and available to assist always. Curriculum is very good, kids learn STEM concepts through practical experiments. The school does an excellent job of developing empathy and emotional intelligence through daily affirmations and lessons. I am deeply grateful to all his teachers - Ms. Megan, Ms. Madeline, Ms. Christine, Mr. Aaron, Ms. Alyse, Ms. Idah, Ms. Sreeja, Ms. Rohini, Ms. Jasmyne for all their hard work and the teachings they have managed to impart to these young minds. I would specially call out Ms. Christine & Ms. Alyse for everything they do - my son bonded very deeply with them. Best part about the school in our opinion is that the school is constantly running activities and you can expect 2-3 events every month. Appreciation months, pet days, science experiments (lifecycle of butterflies, hatching chicks, etc.), book fairs, talent shows, mothers/fathers/other historic days you name it - the list is endless. Point is they are actively engaging parents and kids every single month through so many variety of activities. As a parent, I can see how much my son enjoys these events and is developing core memories learning through tangible experiences. And as a parent who really loves staying involved with their child, I heavily enjoy these events as well. I would happily recommend every parent to this school and have nothing to share other than positive things.

She would have had a hard time with a drop off style program so this was the perfect gradual first school experience/introduction she needed. Thanks to the amazing support and patience of the WTG program she was able to get so comfortable with the school experience and really find her confidence by the end- now can't wait for "drop off school" next year. I'm a first time mom and had to do what many moms dread: go back to work and put their very small child in daycare at only four months old. Mind you, my husband and I are in the PNW alone as our family is all in Ohio so daycare was our only option and our support tribe is small. I found Bright Star as I was searching for a location close to work so I didn't have to rush to pick her up. Here are some things I love: - It's easily accessible and right off the highway. I don't take part in this benefit but it's also right across the street from Lynnwood park and ride for anyone needing to commute. - Its CLEAN and they're always making updates. One month into our enrollment they got the whole facilities floor done and also have updated their front desk since we've been there. - It's secure. Upon arriving you use a keycard to check in and also use your finger print to check in and check out your child individually. - They're with the times! A few things: each room has a camera system so you can watch your child all day on the WatchMeGrow app (great for pumping moms at work), they have a report card app called Tadpole that they communicate with you on and let you know how your child progressed, what they ate, bathroom, etc., and finally the owner Tina also has a photography hobby and updates the Bright Star facebook page almost daily with pictures of the enrolled kids through the day (no 1990s pics that make you wonder the validly of the clientele). - Finally, the staffs incredible. My daughters teachers (Jackie, Rachel, Denise) are some of the most caring humans I have come into contact with. They treat my daughter as their own and because of them she's progressed immensely and is becoming wildly independent and genuinely loves going to "school".
