I've been coming here for years and I'm happy to report that the building has received a well earned makeover! Yes, the building looks great. I moved away from Nassau and haven't been to West End for awhile. I was in Hempstead for work and went to check it out. I must say it has come a long way. Don't get me wrong, the place has always been awesome! But know it looks as worthy as its service. The staff is as I remembered, nice and with fast service. There is alway a line when you walk in so expect a wait. They offer so many great choices on food as well as large selections with drinks. They have healthy fresh food too, as well as a good sandwich. I love, love, love, the egg salad they sell. I get a little bit every time I go to eat with my sandwich. If your a fan of egg salad try it out. I wish I was still close to this deli so I could get a my favorite, turkey and cheddar melt, hmmmmmmm, cheddar. The food it's great. It just the customer service it's terrible. I go there every morning send $7 dollars. But the girls that makes the food. When you order they give attitude and the food it's already made it's not like they have to make it just for you. If they don't like serving people or making food why do they work in that industry. I get a western omelet with american cheese, rye toast, 2 sausage patties, homefries and a large iced French Vanilla Coffee. I've also gotten lunch from here before. It sucks that I have to leave this review here... Maybe it will help the way things work. I used to love west end, addressed their workers by name and all that, ordered there every day. Everyone is really nice. We would order two or three times a day as a business from here... Until this one time I found a damn hair in my food, long hair at that. I decided to give them another try after that slip up... And I found something resembling a worm in my red onions.... I wanted to die. After a month or two of completely cutting them off and finding a clean and nicer spot (175 Fulton Diner) I decided to give them ONE MORE TRY. I was very hesitant....
