There is parking directly outside, for which you pay & display. Just a short walk away, there's a large car park which is also pay & display (St Peters Retail Park) and can be easily accessed via a short shopping precinct.

Product wise though I can't really fault it as it sells the same as the other branches, but not as many homeware items as the larger stores as this branch is quite small. The prices are great and if you are looking for cheap toiletries, stationery, kids toys, or household items then do pop into this store because it is a lot cheaper than any of the other chemists or department stores in town. The only competition really is the 99p store and the £1 shops. There always seems to be staff on the shop floor to help with enquiries too.

Inside this store, you will find lots of kitche and home aids that you won't find in many other places in UK. A lot of them are from the USA, but unless you travel ther or have a friend or family meber who will pick things up for you, this a good place to get those special items. So on that front Lakeland is great. However, when I enter here, why do I feel like I am attending a WI meeting? Probably it's the staff. They tend to look at me, a man, and assume I don't know anything about cooking or housekeeping and that I must be in here on an errand for someone else. This feeling hasn't gone away despite me going in here many times. I still enjoy shopping here, the staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful despite being mildly patronising. Lakeland is not particularly cheap, actually it can be very expensive, but then neither are the alternatives of John Lewis or Westage Kitchenware departments cheap either. I would say that Lakeland runs a successful shop as it is well laid out and does offer good service at a cost of a little bit more that the others.

I would definitely suggest going first thing in the morning as everything is really tidy and the real bargains have been put out! The downsides to this store is it does generally look like a jumble sale if you get there after 10am and you do have to rummage through quite a lot of tat to get the bargains. The store itself is clean and tidy, the changing rooms are also tidy and the cubicles are a good size. The staff are also very helpful.
