    Carrie and Violet!
    Lily F.

Beautiful place, food came out fast, delicious. The nicest lady named Carrie served us and I am delighted to call her my friend (Written by Lily and Violet)!

This is the actual short rib in my freezer. If you look at both, I got railroaded. I won't be returning here or recommending this place.

Let me start off my saying that I actually really like west end Grill. but today I did not have a great experience. I made this reservation with West End grille a week and a half before and didnt realize they closed at 5:30 pm. I wished they would have mentioned that when I spoke to someone to reserve. But I realize it was a gamble on Easter. The food was ok. Ive been here countless times and recommended this place to my friends who had never been there. But the food was so much better than before in my previous experience last year. The portion sizes and the prices did not match. The appetizer of calamari had more banana peppers than calamari. I ordered braised short rib with mashed potatoes and spinach. The 2 tiny sized short ribs I received were not worth the money I paid. I'm a chef, and sometimes I go out so I don't have to cook. the short ribs in the supermarket (market prices $30 bucks for 3 huge short ribs) is a reason I won't we back to this location.

    Seafood Pappardelle

Had a good previous visit and wanted just simple American food. Our waitress was great and was very attentive with our table. The dinner specials looked really good and the seafood pappardelle caught my eye. There was a good amount of shrimp and scallops, with some lobster. The sauce is great on this dish, get extra bread!

Steak tips with sweet potato fries & mashed. Side of espresso martini

West End Grill is always a hit with food and drinks. Steak and cheese egg rolls are so good. My go too is normally the chicken sandwich west end style (basically chicken cordon bleu - chicken cutlet with ham and cheese)! Occasionally I get the steak tips and that's always a great choice too. The atmosphere is a perfect balance, big sized bar and a lot of TVs so it's a nice place to catch a game :)

Service was good. Food was bad. They had big screen tv's playing golf. Not my type of spot.

    Protein shake...?

Chicken fingers are bomb french fries are mid and lemonade is too sweet and Shirley temple is too sweet and root beer just taste bad ngl and chocolate milk tastes like dog shit mixed with corn salsa and cat piss. Steak is definitely giving raw like I can still hear it mooing.. the hot dog bun was too crunchy like a tree branch and the weiner was too hard and it started spewing white juices and their icky sticky. Also this drink in the picture don't get it is nasty

Stacked and ready to clear by us. Waited for a check for 10 minutes. 8 servers passed this stack.

Man, I'm hoping it was just an off night. Food was mediocre, Service was bad Pre bussed this and left it to clear. Eight servers passed this stack and still couldn't clear. Unacceptable

I enjoyed this place. Located close to highway 24 , this place is close enough to my home yet I still feel like I'm dinning in the city. The Statler chicken over a creamy parmesan risotto with pancetta and mushrooms, was so good. The wife wasn't a fan of the steak tips, she said they lacked flavor, which I can see by the photos. The service has always been really good and the ambiance is inviting.

Stopped by here for lunch after a 4-hour photography session for real estate nearby was seated in the booth area adjacent to the center bar with TVs overhead. Not too many people at this time frame but the ambiance had some nice lighting, although on the dimmer side but was still pleasant. Ordered their espresso martini, and while I compliment them for giving the rest of the mix, the composition was definitely leaning towards the more intense alcohol bite part of the spectrum, so wasn't as balanced as I would've liked. Since I'm typically a protein and veggies type of person, their lunch steak tips with vegetable du jour with a choice of potato called me that day. But upon its arrival, there was no potato, the steak tips were only five 1"-1 1/2" pieces (although cooked nicely) surrounded by root vegetables, which were carrots and green and yellow zucchini. For $21, I guess that's the expectation of the dish, even though that's the most expensive dish for lunch. My waitress was very nice and attentive, checking up on me every so often. If I'm around the area next time, I'll give this restaurant a second try and order other dishes off the menu to see if there's anything else that may change my mind about my current rating.

I came here with my aunt on a Monday night and we really enjoyed our meals! She had the steak tips - she said it was a little salty but good. I had the Statler Chicken with risotto and it was delicious. I definitely plan on returning again for dinner!

    Baked Stuffed Shrimp

Stop by for a quick lunch without expecting much and to my surprise the food was pretty good and the drinks were delicious, we had the Casamigo Sidecar ($14), Baked Stuffed Shrimp ($25), Short Rib ($28.99) and a Whisky/scotch ($9.50). West end grill is definitely a restaurant to stop by for lunch or dinner.

Turkey club with Parmesan truffle fries

So I was in the area and googled "restaurants near me" and WEG came up on my search ! We were looking for a good lunch spot with onsite parking (because who likes parking on the street ? Not me.) The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking. When you walk in it's like you're in a different world, nice dark interior with a big bar and plenty of seating. The menu had everything from nachos to scallops. I ended up getting the Turkey club that was paired perfectly with truffle fries. I need to come back and try everything on the menu !

    Nice bar !!!

The inside has a really fun upscale lounge vibe with colorful lighting, floral decor, hanging lanterns, and a huge centerpiece tree that makes the whole space feel almost like you are dining in a tropical garden. It feels trendy and lively without being overly loud, which made it a great spot for both dinner and drinks. For drinks, I ordered the mai tai and one of their mocktails. Both were well presented and came in beautiful glasses. The mai tai was refreshing, balanced, and not overly sweet like many places make them. The mocktail was also excellent and felt thoughtfully made rather than just tasting like juice. For food, the short ribs pho was fantastic. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the portion was generous with tender pieces of meat. Definitely one of the better pho presentations I have had in the area. I also ordered the sizzling steak pate with baguette, which came out hot and smelled amazing. The steak was tender and savory, the egg added richness, and pairing everything with the fresh baguette made for a really satisfying dish. Overall Monkey Lounge delivers on both ambiance and food quality. It feels like a hidden gem if you want somewhere with strong date night energy, aesthetic decor, and Vietnamese fusion dishes that actually taste as good as they look. Would absolutely come back again.

Lemonade for my kiddo ($6.50 she said it was a 4/10) and for dessert Ube Tiramisu ($10.00) 1/10... We weren't a fan of the Tiramisu but overall everything was good. I definitely plan to return.

The Lobster Mac & Cheese was outstanding, honestly better than what I've had at places like Capital Grille. Add in the fresh, delicious bread, and the meal starts off perfectly. When it comes to steaks, I rarely eat out because I have a paranoia of being let down. I always buy my meat from a butcher and cook them beautifully on a charcoal (yes, if you cook on propane it's not actually grilling - poser) grill. This trip to Amelias reinforced why I shouldn't stray from handling good meat myself. The place itself is cool, my grandmother was very impressed which is honestly all that matters. Of course she was enamored by the bread options and the whipped butter with olive oil was honestly a nice touch. I ordered a bottle of pellegrino and was surprised the waitress never topped me off (get your mind out of the gutter). Whatever, I had to serve my own drink but at a place of that caliber you'd think the wait staff would understand that when a bottle of any sort is purchased they should be asking the diners if they'd like a refill. We ordered the tuna tartare and my grandmother had never even heard of such a dish before. She enjoyed a bite and then I inhaled the rest - yes I am fat and hungry NOT SORRY. We ordered our steaks and I got excited too soon. I can't help but shake my head, I NEVER get steaks out any more because even at steak houses I am most often let down. I am not trying to sound cheap but at $68 a steak I am expecting a melt in your mouth masterpiece (that's what they used to call me back in the day) and honestly the meat we got was a MAJOR let down. Steak alone has it's flavor and this piece was lacking. They overcooked it and it was genuinely tough even with the LITTLE pink they allowed me to enjoy. I was really heartbroken but the only reconciliation for this was that my aged grandmother was ecstatic and this meal wasn't for me, it was an attempt to treat my grandmother to what could be one of her last few really special meals. For her it was and that's the only reason I'm not giving this place two stars.
