The vision behind his work was made evident to us when we first met him. His willingness to go the extra mile was displayed in our proposal shoot where he hid and captured the moment when my husband proposed to me. Throughout the course of our engagement, Alex was consistently willing to try new things and take risks when photographing us. During our engagement shoot, Alex walked through three feet of snow with us just to get the perfect shot! In between shoots, Alex wanted to catch up with us over dinner and always asked how we were doing or how he could help us out during the engagement process. He truly cared about us as a couple and wanted to invest in our relationship. From beginning to end, Alex communicated clearly with timelines and delivered earlier than promised. He did not cut any corners and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted and much more. The day of our wedding, Alex was such a calming presence, which was much appreciated amongst the overwhelming nature of that day. He collaborated beautifully with our videographer and day of team to capture every detail of our special day. Alex was light-hearted, optimistic and ready to crack a joke right when we needed it. When I got home, Windows was still on my old 1TB drive. The new 2TB SSD was just showing up as extra storage. I had to drive back, and they charged me another $145 to finally move Windows to the new drive -- for a total of $217.50. For comparison, another local shop quoted me $100 for the exact same job. When I questioned the price, the supervisor told me "my 12-year-old could install Windows on this computer," which really shows how overpriced the service was. When I picked up the laptop, the technician (Davis) said to me "I hope you don't feel swindled." That says everything. The work is finally done, but I feel significantly overcharged for what should have been a simple job. Would not recommend.

We down loaded an app called Tax Dome that we used to upload documents and communicate through. She asked us to take Pictures and upload tax documents from our previous year as well as our current taxes. The cost was around $300.00 for our service. Everything was handled remotely. If she needed additional information she sent us a message. When we were traveling and needed a few days she waited without pressure or attitude. Very professional and outstanding customer service for a first time user did not go unnoticed. Our funds have been deposited from the state and federal and our payment for the service completed. Hiring the right photographer for your wedding day is a huge deal. There is nothing that scared me more then getting my wedding pictures back and the pictures are not only terrible but shots were missed. I spent hours researching and reading reviews on all the wedding websites. I was so happy when I found West Michigan Photography. Aaron and his wife Agnieszka are truly amazing. They are so easy to work with. They both took pictures so we had two different angles which was great. We did our engagement pictures with them as well and they made it so fun and comfortable. Leading up until our wedding Aaron was always available for any questions I had. He was very knowledgable and helpful with setting up the timeline for the wedding day. I am thrilled with the photos provided by West MI Photography's husband-wife team, Aaron and Agnieszka (Ag-Nish-Ka) Tanis. The couple created a wonderful collection of pictures from our May 17, 2014 wedding that my husband, Mark, and I will treasure for years to come. The fun angles and beautiful close-ups truly captured our day in the printed "proof" album provided within the basic ceremony/ reception package. In total, West MI Photography shot 2,100 pictures, which we now own in CD form. I was very concerned about finances at first, but we got a great value, wonderful service, and NO regrets. Aaron and Agnieszka worked well with every one of our family members - from our 8-1/2 month old niece to our 92-yr old grandmother (who flew across the country to be at the wedding). They even got those with challenging camara-shyness to smile and enjoy the experience. I would recommend West MI Photography to anyone! read more

Aaron and Agneiszka of West Michigan Photography were an absolute joy to spend our wedding day with! They were extremely organized and relaxed which helped to keep us relaxed too. They were non-intrusive and planned photos around the day instead of making us plan the day around getting the best photos. When Aaron finished up the photos, we had so much fun looking through them and reliving the day. They turned out absolutely beautifully and they captured every moment. I love their photo journalistic approach-- as the bride and groom you don't get to see everything that happens throughout the day, so the candid photos gave us a chance to do that. We used Aaron and his wife at West Michigan Photography while on vacation in Naugatuck for my mom's 70th birthday. We had a large party, including two babies (and we took the pictures at 6:30pm for the light, but it was also close to bedtime....) However, this didn't faze them at all. They were so wonderful with the kids and knew how to get them to enjoy being in the pictures, both the posed and the casual ones. Once the pictures came back, we were over the moon delighted with the quality! They look like magazine covers. Seriously, there isn't a one out of the 341 that we have that I wouldn't frame. The only downside to them is that we live in Colorado and New Jersey and they are in Michigan :-) read more
