She suggested sending me to a pain clinic that "writes for opiates". She listed the names too quickly for me, I was afraid but I asked her to repeat herself, but did. She put both arms down sharply and rolled 6ft across the room in her chair forcing eye contact too close for me to move or reposition. I looked at the floor... scared. I took myself off the medication she prescribed me. She is unfit.

There is a deep underlying I believe they have read too many negative books on certain cultures and it shows how they treat certain individuals. I believe it is all about the money and not about the care. I am a disabled veteran with chronic pain I served my country and cut a path for the same people to have freedom and justice only for them to do to me what I fought for to have undone and to treat all as one. I have right knee pain for several weeks. It is swollen 3 times the size of my left knee and hurts…read morewhen I walk. I made an appt with Dr David Cortese at Franciscan Orthopedic Associates at St Anthony. X-rays were taken of my knee prior to meeting with the Dr. He took a look at my x-ray, examined my knee and told me there was nothing wrong. I asked him why my right knee was swollen and painful. He told me he didn't "know" and I should continue to take anti inflammatory medicine to reduce the swelling. He told me to lose weight. I agreed with him that losing weight would be beneficial, however my weight is evenly distributed between my left and right side of my body and did not explain the swelling on the right side only and the pain in walking. Again, he said he didn't know. I ended my visit. Later that night I could not bear any weight on my right side. I went to St Anthony Emergency Room. They did an ultrasound (concerned I might have a life threatening blood clot). The ultrasound showed a Baker's Cyst. I was prescribed muscle relaxers, told to elevate my leg and stay off my leg as much as possible. I have a follow up with another orthopedic Dr to remove the cyst. I am outraged that Dr Cortese did not seem to care about my knee and lacked the knowledge to figure out the cause. He told me to lose weight and that was the end of it. It's outrageous the lack of care he showed me.

The causes of this collective developmental disability are a mystery, but the bureaucratic disease is real. The office is fully staffed. I know that from firsthand experience because I've been there five times. The parking situation is awesome. The location is stellar and easy to reach. But the front desk? The folks working the grill at McDonald's look like rocket scientists by comparison to EMA's admin people. Why is answering the phone in 20 rings or less so hard for them? Why can't EMA call referral patients to book appointments with them? Every time I cite EMA's Wesley San as my preferred physical medicine specialist the referring spine doctor tells me EMA will be calling me to make an appointment. However, that promise has not been fulfilled once in five tries in the two years since I tore up my back. And no one answers when you call EMA's main number at 253-272-9994 to try and make an appointment. Especially around lunch time, which apparently runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at EMA. Good luck booking at EMA via MyChart, as you can with nearly every other MultiCare office or affiliate, because EMA doesn't use it. Why? Apparently, managing physician Kashif Saeed thinks they're so incredibly efficient they don't need it. I've had a wonderful experience with Dr. Wesley San at EMA, who is awesome, but I'm no longer either healthy enough, persistent enough, nor intelligent enough to navigate my way through the EMA front office team to him. I know I'm not the only frequent flier at EMA who is sick of this crap. Because their reviews are full of similar stories, What's the moral of the a story? When you create an administrative situation where the only way a patient can get through to their physician at EMA is to write a negative review online, guess what you get? You're reading it. Look Kashif, if you are too busy to run the admin side of the business at EMA then hire someone else to oversee it and focus on physical medicine. Because this isn't working.

I originally went to doctor young because I had been in a head on collision and needed treatment on…read moremy back and neck which was a good experience. I got diagnosed with a very serious health issue and decided that I would continue my care with him as the chiropractic side of it went great. I've been going to him for this for a couple of months and now that my health issues are getting worse I've had serious issues sleeping and can only sleep for like 10-15 minutes at a time then up for hours and it is keeping me from being able to go to work because I don't have the energy as I'm not getting close to the amount of rest I need. I went to doctor young and I explained to him that I needed something to help me sleep at night because I was getting 0 to an hour of sleep a night and I needed to be able to go to work and function. He prescribes me a "natural sleep aid" and says this will help me sleep. So I spend 25+ dollars for the medicine and go home and take it as soon as I get home because I hadn't slept in 24 hours and had to miss another day of work so I figured I'd utilize the day to sleep and rest. Long story short I ended up taking about 5-6 of these pills that were supposed to help me sleep and never got tired and was up all day and all night. Insurance doesn't cover the natural medicine so all the medicine has to be paid for out of pocket. So I was very upset that I paid 25+ dollars for 30 pills I call and asked for him to prescribe me and actual medicine at the pharmacy that would actually help me get some sleep and his response was that the medicine he prescribed takes up to 6 days to start working..... 6 freakin days!!!!!! I told him from the beginning that I needed something to help me sleep that night not in 6 days. Never have I felt so upset when he knows what I've been diagnosed with and the issues I was having. Dr Young is about lining his pockets and not helping his patients. Not to mention that he is as filling out my leave paperwork and instead of putting down a realistic time frame that I'd be off work which is around two months he puts down that I'd be on leave for a year!!!! Like it was denied immediately!!! What kind of idiot is this clown. I was sitting there to answer any questions and he never asked how long my treatment would be and I assumed because he was my primary he was in touch with the other doctors but apparently not. This guy totally screwed up my paperwork on top of selling me something the wasn't helpful. I would NEVER go back to this guy. He has totally set me back and now I'm left scrambling to find a new primary care doctor and only have so many days to resubmit my paperwork. Very unprofessional to say the least!!!!!
