My instructor was Mazen and I failed my G2 test twice. We practiced in different cities and he was patient, but put too much pressure on me and grabbed my wheel while I was in the driver's seat - I think that's inappropriate. Unfortunately, it was a waste of money. read more

I had a very good experience with this school. I took their in-class driving course several years ago before the pandemic before getting my G1, and emailed them again recently to prepare for my G2 road test in December 2021 now that road tests are picking up again. My instructor's name was Mazen. I took about 4 hours of city driving lessons (in 2-hour blocks) in the 2 weeks prior to the test, and I rented the instructor's car with a 1 hour warm-up lesson for the road test itself. After I emailed the school, he contacted me through text, and we set up our first lesson through text and everything else in-person after lessons. The instructor was very patient and thorough in walking me through all the things that the test would be looking for, helping me clean up my bad driving habits, and his explanations about why exactly things were done a certain way helped me remember how to do them and be safer on the road. For our second session, he took me to the area of my testing site and guided me through all the different routes that the road test used, and all the different points where they might ask me to demonstrate certain skills, so that I could become comfortable with the area. The test was a breeze after that, as knowing pretty much exactly where I was going helped me stay calm. He also encouraged me to ask questions, so that I was confident asking me about certain situations and how to improve my driving, and even in asking the person testing me where we were going next at a tricky intersection. The road tests were pretty blocked up and behind on the day of my test, and I even had a second person being trained in the back of the car when I was being tested. My actual test took less than 15 minutes, but I think we took 45 minutes to an hour longer than expected just waiting for the test, and my instructor kindly pushed back a scheduled lesson with another student for me. I was very grateful for his patience. On our way back, he was kind enough to answer some questions for me about the G road test, and to text me some helpful information on the G1 for one of my siblings to get started. read more

HONEST REVIEW: DO NOT RECOMMEND & DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS VERY VERY POORLY RUN BUSINESS. GO ELSEWHERE.This got off to a good start with our 16 y/o who signed up and completed the in-class - 4 DAYS. Several weeks passed before our daughter heard from an instructor. I had to call the owner 4 times to even get the instructor and he said he had no explanation. I asked why he was hiring unreliable people? He said he did not know. After some back and forth on the phone....he offered a full refund and said he would write a cheque. How did this happen? The owner said that an instructor would be in touch with our daughter within a week - almost 3-4 weeks later - nothing. Over that time I called "David" the owner 4 times to inquire with reassurance after reassurance that someone would be in touch. We even set a day and time when the instructor would call. Nothing. Lack of follow through. My daughter responded to a text and actually called the number - the driver trainer was actually in a lesson with another student while talking to my daughter. His wife hung up on me when I asked why has no one been in touch - she could not answer. Look, this started out friendly - but end of the day - this business is poorly run, no one shows up or follows through without significant time and energy trying to actually "get" a call back. WE'll be searching for an alternate driving school that IS reliable. THIS IS NOT A RELIABLE BUSINESS AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. read more

Westdale Driving School provides a terrible service. Please do not use them. After trying to get appointments with two driving instructors, both who never replied to my daughter, and one of whom was incredibly rude to both her and me when he finally did decide to call her late at night. When I complained "customer service" tried to suggest that we were at fault, even though in both cases my daughter had texted the instructors saying "When can we set up an appointment" with no reply. I am disgusted at their attitude to their clients and their rude tone. All I can say is that they will give us our money back, minus the tax, because I can't imagine they are managing their instructors properly, and I don't want my daughter being trapped in a car with any of these people. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more
