I read some of the reviews of this place before stopping in and just my goodness the amount of stuff they have in here! This is definitely a place to stop if you need supplies for your trip. It's also fun just to see what they have in stock. They have everything from moonshine, to camouflage gear to camping equipment to a full pharmacy here. I spent a good half hour just browsing around the store and enjoyed my time in here. Lots of neat things they carry, even an extensive fabric selection and patterns too! As soon as you walk into the store you realize how much cool stuff they have on the shelves. A little bit of everything; camping, shooting, quilting, fishing gear and various types of treats and drinks. If only there were more stores like this one. Friendly staff, moderate prices and well stocked shelves. Plenty of free parking. read more

I have only used this pharmacy once and I will not have my RX for fibromyalgia sent there again. I asked my doctor to send it to them because it is local vs having a Jersey pharmacy ship it. I am on 6 mg and because the drug is now FDA approved I wanted to try to get my insurance company to pay for it so he ordered 2 different strengths to equal 6 mg. When I originally spoke to someone I was understanding the price to be 75.00 which I readily agreed to. Once it was compounded I had to pay 75.00 for EACH strength for a total of 150.00 I paid it and then called back same day and canceled the 1 mg for a refund and they said the 4 mg would be sent out via UPS the following morning. After over a week of never receiving it I called and was told the were 'confused' about what they were supposed to do because it was sitting in the refund pile. After explaining the situation, yet again, the girl offered to personally deliver it that evening since it was their mistake. Understand that I have had no medication for some time already. I told her I appreciated her honesty and offer but did not want her making that long trip to Snowflake at night and that if they were able to overnight it via UPS that I could wait as I've already been without for some time. Then, another 3 days later, I call again ( on a Friday) to ask where my medication is as , once again, I have not received it. Then I am given the excuse that it's only the second time they have tried to overnight something with UPS and 'it didn't work' so it was scheduled for delivery on the following Monday. Now mind you, this has been going on for well over two weeks, if not closer to a month trying to get my medication.....and when I told the girl I spoke with on Friday that they have failed and I will not use them again, I was told, 'that's fine.' read more

I've stopped at this store a few times while passing through and have always enjoyed my visits. On my most recent trip, I came in with a friend and we approached the gun counter. The older gentleman working behind the counter turned his back to us (was close enough to read the name Wayne on the side of his hat) and began texting on his phone. We waited for a moment, but he never acknowledged us. As we walked away, he immediately turned and cheerfully greeted the next customer. I'm not sure what the issue was, but it definitely left a negative impression. The two younger employees in polos were professional and helpful, but the interaction with the older gentleman ultimately influenced my decision to take my business elsewhere. read more

We heard about the drug store in Springerville from friends. They said it was fun shopping and they had most everything. So this was a must stop for us on the trip. But they couldn't prepare me for how much this store had. The store looks normal size on the outside but it's huge. You walk in to the drug store section and it has everything a normal drug store squared! They had a wall of tea, aisles of nutritional items and vitamin/minerals. Then, they have the sporting good section with, seriously, a wall of guns and aisles of ammo. There are hunting & sporting goods. They have huge craft areas, scrapbooking and jewelry making supplies. There are cute pajamas with bears and other cute figures. They have t-shirts, sweats and slippers. Books on Arizona, cute signs and jewelry. They have wine, beer and spirits and candy-stuff you'd find on any c-store and old fashioned hard candy drops like horehound. There are novels and magazines and makeup and I could go on & on! I recommend stopping at Western Drug and General Store. If they don't have it, you don't need it. Or at least, I can't imagine what that would be. It was fun going through the aisles. I did end up buying these awesome ginger chews which made the trip! read more

I am from Montana. I went into WD to purchase a long rifle. Nothing against ANY AZ law. Any American citizen can buy a long gun in AZ simply by showing his DL and passing the background check. Except here, in this store. I was denied my constitutional right to purchase a weapon here simply because I am from Montana. I was given a bs reason that I must be from a state that is CONNECTED to AZ. This is 100% BS. This is NOT AZ law. Never has been. I will no longer even stop in to this store. They lost my business and Sportsmens Warehouse in Phoenix gained my business. If you want to make up your own laws... lose my business. Your gun selection is nowhere near theirs, anyway. read more

I was expecting this little hole in the wall drugstore in "Hiccupville USA", instead, I found a full on sporting goods store with a huge gun section and a lot of reloading supplies that just happened to have a country Pharmacy too! This place is a one stop shop for everything from guns and ammo to knitting goods to cleaning supplies to first aid to clothes to old fashioned candy to camping supplies to souvenirs. Now, if you are looking for anything this is the place that will have it. From the old balsa wood wind up propeller planes to guns, and anything else you can think of. It I'd all right here. Locals travel miles to come here and take advantage of the products and savings. Seriously, I was super impressed with all of the items they had in stock. In fact, they had a full set of "Cat's Eye marbles with a Cleary Boulder " For you marble players you know what that means! There wasn't much that you couldn't get here and the staff were fabulous. This place is amazing! It has everything, including charm. You can get your prescription filled, buy hunting and fishing supplies, groceries, local souvenirs, and quirky items too. Did you go camping in the area and forget something? They have it. It is like if Walgreens sold camo and rifles and decorated with taxidermy. Sometimes I go in here even if I don't need anything. Wow a Real General Store! They have EVERYTHING, no joke! It was so much fun just walking around and looking at everything. They had stuff you don't see anymore, but wish you had! Like old time flour sack dish towels. Every house should have one or more! The Ice Cream counter is a tasty treat.
