Billing issues that I'm still dealing with after 6 days, managers not returning my calls, really bad service

Had monthly service in for a Palm Springs condo with a really excellent service man, David Lara. He became ill and his replacement did a superficial job (4-5 minutes) and did not go into the house or garage. I complained about it and then cancelled. When David returned, I attempted to re-instate the service but was told that I needed to "start over" incurring an initial inspection fee and nearly double the monthly fees. Bye! read more

The WORST!!! I completed a termite bait service contract that was paid off and for the three solid years following , I paid the bill which is over $400. The tech STOPPED coming around for those three years! They owe me 3 payments back! They need to cut me a check for the amount of those last 3 payments! I complained by phone, and the operator put me on hold for 14 minutes! (Because she knew I was angry...Yes. I'm angry. They owe me about $1200.) Another operator stalled out and couldn't get anything done, so I personally visited their office in Thousand Palms, CA. Between 3 and 4PM. The door was LOCKED!! The so -called Operations Manager, Robert, was hiding in his office and only emerged after I knocked rather loudly. He kept me outside around the back: it's 106F outside and he offered me no water or a sit-down inside. Shame on him!! When I informed him I would be cancelling the termite service and that the person responsible for servicing my home should be reprimanded or fired, he stated, "I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU ANYMORE!!!" Such shameful and unprofessional behavior of a MANAGER to a customer who paid in good faith and got ripped off, should never happen in business! Robert then went crying to his boss, Mike, the District Manager, claiming that he felt "threatened" by me. So does that make my complaint illegitimate? BAD EXCUSE AND A FLAT-OUT LIE AGAINST ME! I had a rotten day, no thanks to ALL of them at Western. I hope they go out of business. They certainly lost me! read more

Once again, Gilbert P. showed up on time with a warm greeting. Always professional, respectful and engaged, he swept through our home and did his spraying. Before he went to spray the perimeter of our home outside, he thanked us both for our patronage of his company and genuinely wished us well. Just payed over $300 to have them start up service in my home. It's been about a week since the first treatment and there are still bugs all over the place. Haven't seen a single dead bug in my house, if anything the problem is worse. I'm not even convinced that they sprayed at this point. I had two spider webs In my home with huge spiders on them and the spiders are still alive and well. The worker was inappropriate, asking questions about my sexuality and how it is that a lesbian has a baby. Is that any of your business? read more

I just finished start up services today, My credit card is already charged for a $300.00 start up fee and 40.00 monthly service! When I cancelled monthly services I was given back talk and lip by not one, but two sales people. They told me I could not cancel even though I had found the monthly services at 1/2 their price. We have an existing account with this company and I've been trying to get my rodent issue resolved since December 23, 2021 and have not been successful. Because of the holidays there were no openings until January which we waited for patiently. Finally on January 10 I was able to get an appointment for the 12th. The tech checked the site and never got back to me. I followed up a week later (via chat on their website was most effective) and asked to please have them send me the findings and the quote. Eleven days later still nothing and this time the chat feature isn't available on their website... so I left a message on their website to no avail. Today (2/1) I spoke with two agents over the phone because the first one hung up on me while I was on hold. So I had to speak to a different agent and give all my information all over again. These guys do a fantastic job. They are very flexible regarding the scheduling of your service. They put booties on over their shoes when they come inside to treat your interior. This company is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I was charged for a service that I never got. I was in the backyard painting my house on the particular day my bug guy "supposing" to have treated my yard. I never even saw him in my yard. I called to let the company know and to ask for it to be wiped off my account. 2 months later after 4 phone calls I'm still getting bills. I have a pigeon problem. I called Western Exterminator, they came out and said they could solve the problem at a cost of $1800. Thought it was pricy but as long as they could solve the problem, I was willing to pay. A very nice man came out and put wire around my solar panels to prevent the pigeons from building nests there. This was effective but my main problem was not solved. As you can see from the photo, pigeon poop is everywhere. This photo was taken AFTER Western Exterminators came out and installed the wire and a few days after I cleaned up the last mess! My main gripe is that they did not do anything to follow up. No communication from them to find out how things were working or in this case NOT working. read more

Yeah, so I've used them before in LA, where they almost had to tent a steel building downtown because a wing blew in an open window of a bank owned unit. Fortunately the inspector was experienced and able to see how absurd it would have been and passed us. Today in PS, we had a situation where we needed to get an invoice for a past job (normally included with the report) to satisfy a lender requirement. Got stuck in a telephone loop rivalling Spectrum Cable - too many calls so we rolled over to a call center where they had no idea, and then got a call from an 800 number with a suggestion to return call to the original loop again. Western couldn't tell me if the document got to Escrow or even if it had been sent, so I'm now waiting to get a copy. I did call Escrow which confirmed receipt, but that info wasn't updated in Western's log. Clearly they are too busy for customer service...and clearly they won't be my Wood/Pest service of choice and will counter them out whenever possible. read more

Bad Service! Paid almost $300 for Exterminator to lay a few traps. Nothing was ever caught and rodents did not leave. According to my tenants they only laid a few traps in one space of attic. What a waste of money! I could of laid a few traps and not been charged $275. Dont call Thousand Palms Western Exterminator.
