My partner has recently gone blind where he is blind in one full eye and half in the right eye and is still trying to face his daily routine and get around using his blind stick. We both want to thank the guys that are around the busses before departure offering to help him on the bus as we were ready to head back to Edinburgh and another guy saving us a seat on the lower ground as the bus was quite busy. However, it provides good links from Dennistoun to the city centre and west end, as well as services running to Springburn and beyond. I find the train to be a much more pleasant way to travel than the busy local buses, beating traffic and providing a much more comfortable method of travel. This station is ideal for those in the east end to hop on and off a train and be in town in no time, and if you're lucky enough, you might even be off the train before the conductor gets to you and get away with skipping the fare... bonus!

Bellgrove is a decent wee east-end train station…read more Covering both lines from Drumgelloch and Airdrie to Helensburgh and Balloch, and connecting with stations to Springburn, Bellgrove is slap bang in the middle of the city centre and the east end. It's in walking distance of Parkhead, Dennistoun, and not too far from the east-end/Barrowlands area of town. It's a relatively small station, with one platform down the middle where you can step on a train going in either direction. There is no manned ticket booth, but there are some seats and sheltered areas.

Iv only been on it twice on nice summers day just to go a walk (in yoker yes I know what I just said but there's nice views along the Clyde) however £1.60 each way is a hefty price when the bus is cheaper, but I guess it's an expensive wee thing to run but we couldn't let it go!

SPT opted to end the service in March 2010 as part of budget cuts. As such, if you've never done it before why not get yourself along for one last shot on a route which has been in existence for over 200 years. OK, so it's not life changing, but it is kind of cool and something which will be sorely missed by those who enjoyed the experience of floating along the Clyde while out doing their shopping. The service is set to be replaced by a bus which can go through the water. Also kind of cool, but I'll miss the ferry.

The bar is well stocked with Islay Whiskys. There is a monthly featured whisky which will be at a special price you can plan to take advantage of.

Instead, I was met with **unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and a complete waste of time and money**. On August 3, I planned to take the **Yellow Route**, but guess what? **The bus never showed up!** There was **no notice, no warning, no apology**--just complete silence from the company. I stood at the **"Celtic" stadium stop** for **over an hour in scorching heat**, waiting for a bus that never arrived. Eventually, I had to **spend extra money on a taxi** just to get to the city centre. Because of this **shocking lack of service**, I **missed out on key tourist attractions** I had planned to visit. I **flew all the way to the UK**, paid for hotels, and invested time and money into this trip, only to have my plans ruined by this **unreliable company**. The **moral distress** of being stranded without explanation is just the icing on the cake. **Save your money and your sanity--DO NOT book with this company!** Zero stars if I could.

Some of the busses got pretty busy and the top floor is half uncovered which was not great while it rained. I was super impressed with the recordings which were clear and very interesting. There were even 2 different recordings in English, one more historical and one music themed. My only wish is that it stopped closer to the botanical gardens. However, the walk through the university was gorgeous so it ended up being a blessing in disguise.

Scotstounhill station lies just off a side street from Danes Drive, making it only a short walk…read morefrom Scotstoun Leisure Centre. It lies on the Argyle and North Clyde lines, meaning one can travel on SPT services to Balloch, Clydebank and Helensburgh to the west, Glasgow city centre and Airdrie to the east, and Motherwell and Lanark to the south. I found that to get back to the city centre from this station there wasn't even much point planning out your journey with a timetable, such is the frequency of the trains. There is a train nearly every 10 minutes, with roughly every second one to Queen Street and the others to Central. So like Partick station, your best bet is to just turn up at the station and get the next train you see. The station is very quiet most of the time, though probably a good but busier during the rush hours. It is also handy that if you are getting a train back to the city centre if you look down the line towards Clydebank, you can actually see oncoming trains stopping at Garscadden station a very short length away, so you get plenty of warning of your train arriving. But beware, it is not an island platform here so if you're running late for the train you may have to hot foot it over the footbridge before it leaves!

There's a staffed ticket office as well as self service ticket machines but no barriers. There are bike racks available and you can pick up Scotrail's free WiFi here. There's no shop or anything within the station, but there's a small post office nearby. There's nothing much special going on here but as a small commuter station it's A-Ok.

It's a central station - opposite the Playdrome and a 5 minute walk from Clydebank Shopping Centre, and is right beside the bus station - which is handy when you need to get someplace else quick. A disgusting story; years ago, while waiting for a bus at night, I stared into the wall underneath Clydebank Train Station. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I saw tons of rats scurrying inbetween the bricks, their tails waggling and noses twitching. I continued to stare, mesmerised. It was like looking at one of those Magic Eye pictures when you realise there has been something jumping out at you all along.

Found open seating and sat back to relax for the approximate 1 hour ride. Spoke with rail workers and was told we could actually board the 730am versus the 758 we had purchased. Train was ontime and everyone we have spoken with have been helpful and friendly. Seats are comfy (some with tables available. Clean train and bathrooms. Enjoy!

A relaxing trip from Queen Street Station Glasgow to Waverly Station Edinburgh with relaxing…read morecountryside views. The fare was quite reasonable - I splurged and booked first class since I had luggage. Online booking was very easy. When you arrive at the Station, ASK which platform your train will be on - I almost missed my Express train as I relied on the monitor and went to the lower platforms instead of staying at the upper platforms. A great way to travel between cities.
