i am a legal guardian of two students who recently graduated from this school, these two students…read moresaid that the yearbook club is very selfish. there was a section in the yearbook for students who have traveled over the summer and these two students travel to multiple countries over the summer and they never got featured in the yearbook but students who travel six hours away in the same state did get a spot in the yearbook. These two students are also citizens in two different countries other than the United States of America and they did not get nominated for most likely to travel the world they also did not feature a section specifically for people who are not citizens of this country. the yearbook club is very closed minded when it came to international students they only featured students who have traveled countries for vacation over summer break but there were almost little to none students who actually got featured in the yearbook who are citizens of multiple countries. I personally find it a bit wrong to not feature these people and take the time to know abt their special stories. The students bought a yearbook only to not be featured at all in the sections that they were almost guaranteed to win. another thing that I find wrong about the school, is specific teachers way of teaching. I also know of many students that have complained about a specific teachers way of teaching, as he or she mainly talked them through showing a sheet of notes. However, nobody took action in the complaints and as a result of this lots of students failed this class. I think this should be an example that some teaching at the school should be more hands-on than it is at the moment.

Another great year! Academically challenging, supportive environment, great teachers and nice,…read morewelcoming kids. The new leadership is outstanding! My college bound kids have been academically prepared for the rigors of Twelve Bridges High School and my oldest graduated from TBHS and got into all 3 of his top choices (UCBerkeley, UCLA and UCSD- for engineering). A solid academic foundation is key- and my kids have received that at Twelve Bridges Middle School.

So far, so good. We just started at the end of last year, so I don't have much to offer yet, but…read morecompared to Rocklin Academy Gateway, my daughter is much happier for many reasons. The big things that have been positive are how organized staff was and how supportive they were to getting us in. They were VERY proactive. They also were very responsive to my requests to speak about my son for next year's special ed. My 7th grader had no major issues while transitioning in the spring as a new student. We had to remove her from a toxic situation at Rocklin Academy Gateway (my 3rd kid removed from that school). The parking situation, while it's not monitored well (always a concern for middle schoolers and bullies) the routes have been ok. Someone did hit my car, but honestly that's very common at schools as parents just don't know how to be patient anymore and follow rules. Not good..but not as nightmarish as other schools like RAG and some bay area schools. The library is great and the facilities are much cleaner than the schools my kids went to including a new school in the bay area. The food is exceptional, but it would be nice for some reform to include on meat and dairy options considering our extreme climate situation and animal agriculture as well as kids with dairy allergies. For 2024 there will be a new principal and vice principal with a good reputation, so let's see if that improves anything. The biggest issue right now at the school is communication, or lack of communication and updating the website. They also removed girls softball which is a bummer but not a deal breaker. The school also doesn't have soccer. Their electives are great. I suggest you take a look at the website for more on that.

I think this overall school gets a bad wrap because of its location and age, but for me that character is what makes it unique. I honestly feel that this school is very kid/family oriented and I know several parents from other schools feel the same way. Just as an example sporting events and pretty much all but especially football and basketball you will find pretty much a packed house. In a lot of cases their kids don't even play the sport, but it's much more about supporting the event or a friend/family playing. I know this happens at other schools as well but nothing that I have felt. Another example is how many people travel all over the surrounding areas to attend these same sporting events. I have been at an away game where RHS has more people attending than the opponent. That to me shows awesome school spirit, support and Tiger Pride! Everyone always asks me about this school and what it's like and again because of its wrap. I always have the same answer. It's what you put into it. All of my kids have excelled from here with one just graduating Sac State and another still attending. All of them have gotten involved in various activities like soccer, cheer, Avid and yearbook. This is the key to me to your success not only here but in life. You have to add value and not just be a taker. At some point when you just take eventually the tank runs out and you blame other things or circumstances and not the person in the mirror. Last point...have every single teacher been 100% and do I agree with everything about their teaching methods? No and again this is also a part of life. You are not going to see eye to eye with everyone, but overall for the most part everyone working here is committed to your kids and the school counselors are terrific. So I can say for my kids and myself "Once a Tiger always a Tiger"....
