This is particularly the case with the walkway from the station, which provides easy access to the facility. It is also rather easy to navigate, which is also quite beneficial. The place is quite extensive and has two very large buildings that are over two blocks. The pace wasn't too bad today and although I did get lost and became disorientated when I left from a different exit I still managed to buy a bargain. I love the after Christmas sales and yes they still exist on the 9th January! Watch where you park. There are several entry points for the complex and parking ranges for free parking from thirty minutes, to two hours to three hours. I always head straight to the top and make my way down (a good principle in life...although you have to be careful on whom you tread on the ladder on the way up as you might come across them on the way down! ha) Yes this is a great shopping centre.

If you live in the Southern Highlands, this is the nearest place with large theaters for those big, first run films (think Avatar). It is also right next to a major train station that will get you directly to the Sydney Airport in about 45 minutes. Lots of parking, food options, and all the major chains can be found here. You might not realize that having access to these types of places is a big deal unless you move far away to a regional area, and then you will understand the huge value of having all of this under one roof.

Westpoint In Blacktown is a mess right now as one of the main parking garages had a structural…read moreproblem and has been under repair for the last six months. If there is a structural issue on the parking garage how are we too be sure if there isn't an issue with the whole mall. With that said it doesn't look as if that bothers any of the customers. We went on a Wednesday around noon time and guess what the mall was super busy. It took 10 minutes literally to find a parking spot and another 10 just to exit the mall, of course because of the one garage being out of service. The mall has 3 levels with the first and third floor food courts. All sorts of different shops for customers to find everything they came to get. 3 star rating because of the parking issues and chaotic atmosphere.

Definitely hard to get to by public transport, your only options are essentially buses to Bondi Junction or buses to the city. Quite a large carpark, parking is free (limited to 2 hours undercover) - with plans to redevelop and expand the shopping centre upwards - with hopefully some larger chains to open up.

Carlo is the place you come for stuff you need not stuff you want - groceries, bread, party supplies, keys cut, contact lenses. It has everything you need to run your errands in one place. The shop owners are all pretty nice. Avoid lunchtime any day and right after work. Not just because these are the busy times and you'll find getting a park difficult but also because this is hungry time and the healthiest thing you'll find here is Oporto. On a side note, a large number of commission houses has opened around Carlo in the last 10 years. This has changed the clientele significantly but does make for good people-watching.

Look, while I'm not a big fan of shopping centres, this place does certainly have some charm about it. Have been to many parties and shopping events here for work and leisure, as well as doing some private shopping. Lost touch as to how many times I've been here. You can easily spend your dough here if you're not careful. Faves: * Event Cinemas - love Gold Class here, as well as the CATF movie events. Heck, they even run a Christian church service at 10am every Sunday. Can't forget Max Brenners' nearby. * Fitness First Platinum * Swarovski * Mozi Boutique - great, cheap gems for the home. Hey, even brought an iPhone 5 cover here, and it does not break or show any signs of wear and tear! * Room 4 Pets * Virgin Mobile - upgraded myself onto a great mobile phone plan here * Great food including Food Halls * A brand spanking new dentist that is soooo affordable * Typo * Lululemon - especially for free yoga classes (bring your own mat) every Sunday morning at 9am for 1 hour * The Eastern! * A beaut little kids play area in the food court on level 4 A couple of negatives: * Those organic skin bars, and their hard sell tactics. * The smile bar...my teeth were only white for a couple of days. * Pricey acupuncture on the highest floor.
