My husband and I purchased a washer from Lowe's last week. They told us there would be a $50.00…read morepick-up fee for our old appliance. We paid the fee. When the third-party company Maersk (formerly known as DSI) came to install the washer, they told us the faucets would have to be changed first. After the plumber installed the new faucets, Maersk came back to install the washer. After the installation was completed, they neglected to take the other washer. I called back multiple times to ask when the washer would be picked up, but Lowe's dropped my call. We finally got in the car and went over to Lowe's last night. It took several minutes for management to get to the counter, and then we spent the rest of the time going back and forth with Maersk, a third-party call center out of London, arguing about why their people didn't pick up the old washer and when they would be coming to get it. I have never been treated with so much disrespect by someone, especially after they had already gotten our money! If I were you, I would seriously think twice about buying appliances from Lowe's or anyone who uses Maersk as a third-party delivery service.

Ran in here and a guy was standing right there, asked me what I needed, went and got it and I was back out of there lickety-split. I figured in a small store we'd pay high prices, but since they carry Ace products, it really wasn't bad at all. I paid $4.79 for a standard powerstrip. I can't complain about that. They have bait too (if you need it). I doubt I ever will.

I've brought my pup in here as she continues to need some socialization and it always goes well. One time the clerks had their dog too and they became fast friends. This store really packs quite a bit into it. Of course it won't be as sizable as a Home Depot, but man oh man is the experience world's better. I found every single thing on my list which was great. It's closest size comparison to me would be the Ace in Westport, but hey guess what, you don't have to fear for your life in KC's worst intersection if you come here! It's easy to park in the lot out front, off of the always-busy 75th Street. My kids love it because they have a gumball machine, whoopie cushions, and other classics from back in the day when the world was making real attempts to be fun. After searching for several weeks to find the perfect kitchen cabinets and countertops, we finally found what we were looking for at Menards. We showed up with a budget and measurements, but we were lost otherwise. Thankfully, the employees in the Kitchen Design Department were incredibly helpful. After about an hour we walked out with a complete kitchen design and a great plan for our new digs. This will be our spot for any further home renovations. Always frustrated when I go into other home improvement stores so I just drive 36 miles to go to Menards instead. They also have great daily internet buys that I purchase frequently. My wife laughs because I buy a lot of my clothes at Menards too, since I retired and don't need the suits and ties anymore!!
