Elaine is a wonderful, friendly, knowledgable therapist who created a realistic plan from the first time we sat down together and has been very encouraging and motivating throughout the process. You can tell she really knows her stuff and is great at adapting a treatment plan to fit individual patient needs. I signed up for their text communication program figuring it was for appointment reminders, which I do get, but also periodic texts asking how therapy is going and what they can do to make the experience better. I've reached out to the Case manager whom my mother receives information from made me feel like I was less than a human being because I have behavioral health issues yet kind of joked about it. I called (like I said earlier) to coordinate my mother's Dr appointment upon her discharge day. Aside from the case manager treating me bad I called to confirm my mother's must make appointment and someone answered. I expressed my concern and was put on hold. I wasn't put on hold and I hear EVERYTHING the nurse or whomever say terrible things about me and she figured out that the phone was not on the hanger yet she hung up without acknowledging I heard every word and just hung up. I called back and there was no answer. The care. I'll give a 5 just because my mother has been treated right. But as far as giving information and being polite to family members whom has loved 1s in the facility and showing respect. Just from my experience. They get a ZERO in my book. I took my mother here to have wrist surgery with Dr. Usmani. The admissions team was very…read morewelcoming. After registering for the surgery, we had a minimal wait before we were whisked away to a pre-operation room. My mother's pre-op nurse, Erin, was nice and readied my mother for her upcoming procedure. They estimated the surgery would last 65 minutes and that was about the time I sat in the lobby/waiting area. They offer free coffee and a soda and snack vending machine. Dr. Usmani checked in with us before the procedure. Afterwards he explained the process, the success, and gave me instructions for her recovery. The post-op nurse, Cara, was equally as nice. Erin stopped by to check on her afterwards as well. Cara was very helpful in assisting my mother get into the restroom and the car. My mother had surgery on her foot the previous day, and it had affected her mobility. We had a great experience at this location of OrthoIndy. I would come here for future surgeries.
