We had Reeses peanut butter cup parfaits as a treat, though we hardly noticed any peanut butter cup in it so it was basically a fancy pudding. Tasty though. This was a great first stop on a rather grueling 1500 mile trip north to Maine. I have read that people are flying again post-pandemic, but my goodness, they are certainly driving everywhere in huge numbers also.

The rooms were spacious very, very, very clean, no critters (as unfortunately can be rather common in the south). If you're traveling with your pets, pets are welcome for a fee. Grounds are nicely manicured, parking is well lit and safe. Clean quiet option if you're flying in and out of the airport or traveling.

It was an emergency After many phone calls with Hilton honors and the Savannah hotel, the manager refused our request to simply postpone our stay or credit us for a date in the near future when we certainly would have stayed there. The lobby has an adorable country theme, and the breakfast are is very large and inviting. I only wish they could extend breakfast hours at least until 10am. Our room was nice and big with everything we needed for the one night. The beds were so comfortable it was a challenge to get out of them in the morning. Although a little pricier than many of the options in the area, we will probably make this our go-to stop the next time we're traveling through.

Even though the hotel is located in Port Wentworth, downtown Savannah is less than a 10-minute drive, making it a very convenient and worthwhile option. Another plus is that there are several restaurants within walking distance, as well as a Food Lion nearby, which is always convenient. But we were glad this option was available so the 3 of us could sleep well! Breakfast was what you expect from Holiday Inn Express and was able to let us eat and get on the road quick to finish our trip. The app let me check in after midnight but understood I only needed the room for the rest of that 'night'. Other hotel chains I tried did NOT! When I called to ask about having it mailed to be the clerk refused and told me I better get driving, I opted to call the local PD and they are mailing it back. If you're looking to work in the sex traffic industry this would be a great place to get kidnapped. Its nothing but a vagrant flop house now and should be raised and a parking lot installed. I've reported it to the Ga Dept of Health too, their last inspection in August scored a 91? There is no way it was properly looked at, we found a receipt from another guest under our bed from early 2024, along with a syringe cap and enough dust to knit a sweater.

I used Hotels.com and being a loyal Marriott member, selected Fairfield by Marriott and made a reservation. Literally (and I mean literally) a minute later I realized that because it was after 1am the reservation was made for *that* evening (ie more than 12 hours later) not for a quick 5-6 hour stopover. I tried to change the reservation but it cancelled instead despite already charging me the full $190. Even worse, when we walked into the hotel to try and fix the situation on the spot, we were told the hotel was completely sold out. I contacted Hotels.com, they were fantastic and responsive but let me know getting a refund would could only be approved directly by the manager of the property. They reached out on my behalf and apparently this property owner couldn't have cared less and refused to refund even a portion of the amount. A costly 2-minute mistake on my part and easy money for no effort on the part of the property owner here. We were so aggravated that we decided to go ahead and drive through. I doubt the owner will ever see this review or if they do, will likely not care, but greediness and a lack of empathy has a way of circling back. There are a lot of other hotels in the area - choose another one rather than this one.
