I recently started working in a start up and living on the island of West Seattle so I am new to coworking. I explore the options on my side of the water but WeWork seem to have a lot better options for people that are on calls more often than heads down. This location is definitely the easiest to access from West Seattle with a short water taxi ride and a walk. It's never too busy for you feel uncomfortable and I think being around other people that are working helps focus. There are even dogs allowed at this location which cheers me up during a long day of calls! The staff at this location, that I have met so far--Cesar and Emma have been extremely helpful and kind and are doing an overall great job. They really go out or their way to build a community and help you when you have no idea what you're doing, get locked out, run out of cold-brew, or forget what floors you can go to. It is always spotlessly clean as well. The decor this location is really nice. The only changes that I wish were possible would be probably in more natural light or consistent access to the first floor. I usually hang out in the basement because it's less busy but I feel like not getting any natural light probably isn't good for me over the long term. When I visited the Bellevue location it had a really great natural light and a ton of space, but that commute was just not worth it. It's worth giving coworking a try and this location is a great choice if you're thinking about it. I like this spot because it is close to all the good Asian food. Other than that, the location is nice itself. Since it is next to the stadium there's perks and downsides during the game season. The perk is, you're right in the action, the downside is, it is too loud during game time. They're super cool here. I like the common area and feel it is relatively give. Beware: if you lease space here, you may loose potential investors and clients. Building management will likely harass and verbally assault your clients for no reason and drive them away. This isn't a review of WeWork as a company, but of this buildings' management. It impacts WeWork because myself and many other potential office leasers have decided to look elsewhere because of this incident. We cannot lease space from a company that chooses to work with this type of unprofessional building management. The on call guy, Jake Belmont, spent over an hour harassing guests at an office party. I have 40+ potential investors, clients and business owners, including myself, who can testify that he verbally assaulted them, calling them old, stupid, and ugly, and repeatedly jabbed his finger into their faces. He refused to tell us what was wrong, and just kept throwing out insults. No one knew what his problem was until the building manager/owner came and told us there wasn't a problem. The security guard doing his rounds thought a lock on a door was broken, but it had recently been repaired and looked different. Apparently that's enough to set off crazy Jake. I can guarantee you that none of the guests, nor myself, will ever consider leasing a space with WeWork as long as they are renting a building owned by people who hire unprofessional, rude imbeciles like Jake. In a customer service industry, you need to hire people who can at least ACT as adults. Jake was so shockingly immature and unreasonable, we all wondered if he was just some unbalanced crazy person that broke into the building. It was like trying to speak to a child who won't stop screaming and crying. I have never met such an immature person. He kept asking why EVERYONE he meets has a problem with him. Um, hey little buddy, if everyone has a problem with you, then JUST MAYBE you're the problem! The startup community is small, and this incident will be made known. Good luck, WeWork, I would change locations (and more importantly building management) if I were you. All of us in attendance will be actively warning people to stay away from renting space here until Jake Belmont is at least fired. And if any of us lost potential investors b/c of Jake's behavior, we will be filing a lawsuit for harassment against building management. read more

My company just moved into WeWork Holyoke a few days ago, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we're LOVING it. Staff - Honestly my very first impression of the staff was that they each seem like really cool camp counselors. They're friendly, easy to chat with, and would probably be really fun to go on a nature hike with. Common Areas & Amenities - This place is obviously gorgeous...pretty sure my jaw actually dropped when I arrived last week. It's so trendy, aesthetically pleasing, and littered with meticulous design details. I'm currently typing this review as I sit inside one of the private phone booths which serve as an ideal quiet place to get some work done. I'm impressed with the ability to pour myself a (free - well, at least free to me as the employee) glass of locally brewed Puget Sound Kombucha or nitro cold brew coffee at any time of day. There's mouthwash in the bathroom, and regular events each month that serve as networking opportunities as well as opportunities to eat free food. P.S. this building is dog friendly which is new for me and I love it. Office Space - We took over 3 offices on the main floor. Although the walls are made entirely of glass, they are impressively sound proof. I love that we can customize the layout of our desks, bring in personal touches, and make the most out of our spaces. read more

WeWork does it again. These offices are gorgeous and trendy and professional. Better yet though, they're also custom to Seattle. Right when you walk in there's a neon sign that's a mini copy/homage to the Pike Place Market sign. Super cool! Bathrooms are clean, office meeting rooms vary in size and function, private offices also vary in size, and many spots get street views that open up to natural light and great people watching on 1st Ave. Lots of restaurants and lunch options nearby (BOKA, Bookstore Bar, etc). An all around win for Seattle and people who have remote office jobs but don't want to be stuck at home in their PJs eating peanut butter off a spoon. (I know... I use that example because that's totally been me!) So happy to be a member here and to get out of the house to get work done. I'm much more productive as a result and this new location is a little closer to my new home. Couldn't be happier. read more

If you are a startup or have a small professional team who needs a bit of office space, I strongly recommend seeking out a WeWork location if one is available in your city. I've been now in two of their spaces in Seattle and it has been one of the best business decisions our growing company has made. Class A office (and ample meeting spaces) and on a month-to-month basis. I originally had our team of 8 in the WeWork South Lake Union space for 10 months, then moved over to the Holyoke space in October 2015, the month it opened. We are now at 5 offices and 16+ folks utilizing the wonderful space here. To acknowledge the one less than positive review here, there were a few growing pains with respect to completing construction & ensuring building security while the first tenants moved in. The security guard issue mentioned was dealt with and I have not seen/heard of any problems since then, from myself and team, who are in the office primarily during business hours, but sometimes also on nights/weekends. I would say the vibe at Holyoke leans more business professional (think lawyers, accountants, consultants and such). We found South Lake Union larger and frequently a younger demographic, giving it more of a college vibe. There are benefits to either and in all WeWork spaces there are ample opportunities to tap into the community "network" that has developed - building, city, and larger; which is fantastic for ANY type of business! Speaking specifically of Holyoke, the building management there (Daley, Kate and Davey), along with the day crew of Daisy and Alex, have been nothing short of stellar. They are welcoming, quickly address any needs or requests that our team has, the place is VERY clean and well stocked - coffee, tea, spa water, beer, and recently some cold brew was on tap! We are super happy to have found the WeWork brand and the Holyoke team. We get frequent complements on "our" office space by both business associates and job candidates. I went here for an evening meeting and LOVED the building. But I also love brick and hipster-modern decor. This place is simple and clean and has some snacks if you go to work for a bit or hang out for a bit. Not sure about what it looks like beyond floor one, but I liked the ambiance. I will say though that the conference room we used was very small and stuffy. So, think twice about that... Bottom line: Cool place. read more

WeWork is a great company and the Holyoke Building is one its finest locations! The staff here is absolutely incredible and they bring the work environment to the next level. The Holyoke is a historical and compelling site to work in for downtown Seattle. Many other WeWork locations are large and have rat mazes for floor plans but the Holyoke building is a typical rowhouse plan with plenty of windows. A truly enjoyable office atmosphere I love working here and would recommend it to anyone that needs an office. Seriously best staff tho. read more

Holyoke is a historical building, so the atmosphere is so unique, I love it, and the location, near the waterfront is gorgeous, but what I love the most about Holyoke is the staff. They are so genuinely friendly, always smiling, and always excited to help. They clearly love their jobs and love coming to work every day. I had an amazing experience here! As a WeWork member from Montreal, I was greeted with incredibly hospitality and friendliness by Daley, who made me feel right at home. The main lounge is beautiful, with lots of natural light, and was a nice quiet workspace the whole time I was there. I took a auxin peek at the event space in the basement and wow!! Wish I would have had the chance to attend an event there because that is a great space! My personal favourite aspects of this location are the cold-brew coffee (have yet to see that anywhere else) and the tree timeline on the kitchen wall. Awesome! read more

What I Love about WeWork: * The people! You are all so professional and outgoing. You know us and call us by name. You take an interest in our business. Having you and your team there to welcome us and answer questions makes it feel homey. * Even though WeWork is a global company, our space feels personal and local. This is not an easy balance to achieve but somehow you've figured it out. * It's amazing to me that you have found ways to connect personally. Ordering cupcakes from Simon, giving us a heads up about the kid entrepreneurs panel, and connecting me with the journalist who was doing a story on Seattle tech culture is the very best kind of networking. * I think our building is full of like-minded people who form a strong community. I really enjoy meeting the other members who are always down to earth and want to connect. You guys do a good job of promoting that through lunch & learns, and the overall culture in the building. * The space and flexible options are great. Specifically, it's easy to book rooms, and the basement event space is a really nice feature. I have used the Red Bull lounge and it really adds something to have such a cool drop-in space. I hope there's a way to keep that or something similar. * I appreciate how you ask for feedback, and are open to change. It's clear that you want what's best for the members and will go out of your way to make it happen. * The amenities like coffee and beer as well as the gatherings are nice, but I think it's the team that really makes our building what it is. * I love the dogs, cats, oreos, etc. read more
