#1 Whataburger Whatameal

The food was ok. Wouldn't go out of my way to return. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful explaining what was on the sandwich to speed up the process which was great. Spicy ketchup wasn't spicy enough for my taste and the flavor was just ok. The restaurant was clean and well stocked. Lots of seating and well lit with lots of windows. The price is higher than average but the burger is a bit bigger than many other places.

My Grandfather and I were returning home from visiting some family out in Lee's Summit and he decided to swing us by a new Whataburger place in Blue Springs. Neither of us have had Whataburger before and were like, "why not?" The lobby and work areas we could see while patiently waiting were nice and tighty. Rebecca, the employee who took our order in the front was very sweet and pleasant to talk with too during the entire process and all, but unfortunately a few small mistakes were made when our order was being prepared. I ordered the #2, which was the double meat burger with no onions and made it clear No Cheese, and somehow I ended up finding several slices of cheese on the sandwich. What made it weirder, was discovering them on the bottom of each meat patty lol.. Like, as if each meat patty was given it's own slice of cheese, then the stack was placed on the sandwich upside down. o___o The bottom cheese slice was between the heal of the bun and meat patty. This error occurred in the kitchen when the sandwich was made, because our receipt shows no cheese was added to my particular sandwich. My Aunt's sandwich, the "Avocado Bacon Burger" wasn't supposed to have any onions at all, and that isn't shown on the receipt either. So, I am not upset in any way at the restaurant for the extreme gut issues I brought upon myself by simply choosing to eat the burger knowing cheese was once on it. We did attempt to scrape off as much as we could, but there were still traces on the surface of both patties. We were tired, hungry, and our food was readily available at our fingertips. I've worked in many fast food places throughout my younger years and these things due occur. Especially in high-pressured, fast paced work environments. Quite often actually, but it is very crucial the message is made clear to the kitchen modification to orders should be followed. People's health depends on it, for the most part when such things are requested. Last night and early this morning was and Has been a bad time.. unfortunately.. -__- So other than all that, the overall experience was alright. I might return to another Whataburger during a road trip in the future and all, but actively not anytime soon. The flavor of the burger was alright, but it wasn't long during our meal that we decided other places we've had sandwiches from were more enjoyable and closer to where we live.

Usually don't do fast food reviews, but I feel like I need to make a contribution to bring those stars UP! One, it's Whataburger!! Burgers are SO good and the fries are delectable. Then, the best ketchup on EARTH! So, I read previous reviews and a big complaint seemed to be how long they were taking. We pulled in on a Sunday afternoon, and they were HOPPIN'! Like there were hardly any tables available. And our food came out quickly and of proper temperature. Maybe they've worked out the kinks? I don't know, but I DO know I enjoyed that Jalapeno & Cheese Whataburger SO MUCH! AND the fries! They're only 227 miles away!!!

The service was super friendly. The food was made perfectly, and that's coming from a person who grew up in Texas. Would definitely recommend this location.

Order is wrong every single time I have gone. Very frustrating to wait in line for 30 minutes just to get home and nothing is right.

We recently moved to Blue Springs and found this place. We are so glad we did. The food is ALWAYS…read morehot and fresh. The service is top notch...fast, friendly. Those little burgers are just so good! Always hot waffle fries, SMAUCE...all the good stuff. Try the double sometime. It will blow you away! The golden arches or the BRGR Kng can't put down a little double that tops this. The meat is seasoned perfectly, premium American cheese, toasted bun. Everything that makes a slider better than just a burger comes right in your bag. But the thing that stands out to me is the patty itself. It just reminds me of an old style drive in burger from when I was a kid. It really takes me back to the 70's when my mom would take us to a place called The Forks Grill, and bought a bag of cheeseburgers and fries for dinner. Like the food critic in "Ratatouille"...my mind races to my sister and I sitting in the back seat of he old, silver Dodge, 100% stoked because we were getting what we though were the best take out burgers in the whole world. Going out for take out was a big deal back then. So using that as a comparison...they are just really good!! It is always good to drive by and see a lot of people there. Not only because it is good, but because we like to see them doing well...which hopefully means they will be around for a while. Give them a try. You will be hooked. Those little burgers are just that freakin' good. 5 stars!

I was in Blue Springs today and ended up at Smalls Sliders…read more The whole place looks like someone dropped a black and orange shipping container into a parking lot and said "what if this thing only served greasy little dopamine bombs?" Honestly? Great idea. Walk-up window. A few outdoor tables. Super clean bathrooms outside. Bright branding you can spot from the road immediately. The kind of place that knows exactly what it is. Taylor at the window was awesome too. I had absolutely no clue what I wanted and never once felt rushed. They guided me directly into the kind of meal that shortens your lifespan a little but dramatically improves your afternoon. I got the Biggie Smalls combo with a cookies & cream shake, loaded waffle fries with bacon, jalapeños and ranch, extra Smauce on the burgers, and a side of queso because if queso is available and you don't dip everything into it, what are we even doing here? The sliders are exactly what you want them to be. Buttery buns. Thin greasy patties with crispy edges. Cheese melting into every corner. Smauce tastes like that classic burger sauce lane -- mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickle tang -- but sweeter and richer, like if a drive-thru and a county fair had a beautiful unhealthy baby together. And the loaded fries? Completely unserious food. In the best possible way. This place feels engineered in a laboratory specifically to make you crave one more slider even when you know you're full. And if you don't know what to order, just ask Taylor. They know exactly what they're doing.

I asked her if this was the standard size of an ice dream cone and she responds "yes it is". I told her they were very small but she didn't respond. Seriously, they were disappointingly tiny. For this visit we went thru the drive thru for a quick meal we could take home to enjoy. We ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich combo with waffle fries, and two orders of 8pc chicken nuggets; one order being breaded and the other in the grilled style. Once home we were extremely disappointed in our meal. The main issue was the beaded nuggets were actually 9 tiny hard pieces of breading crumbles, with half of those bearing NO meat whatsoever! They were just hard pieces of breading. The ones that did contain chicken were extremely small, dry, and inedible. The waffle fries were barely warm, even from the time we pulled away from the window... as we ate on them on the drive home. It was just a poor experience that was a huge let down when you spent and expected so much more! That meal cost us $25.00 and we may as well just lit a match to the money from what we had gotten in return. Never again! To be fair, on the upside... the grilled chicken nuggets were good. At the urging of my husband, I'm adding that he thinks the Frozen Lemonade is the best thing you can put in your mouth from a frozen food perspective and prior visit.

Oh my. I had heard the talk about the new Cajun flounder sandwich and of course the Cajun chicken…read moresandwich and I had not tried either. Let me tell you... they are both front runners in the quick serve arena. Stopped in and got one of each: Flounder: not a real big fish sandwich guy but this one is tasty enough to go back again for. Chicken: Wow! This is the real winner here. I got the spicy version. The battered crust is so special that on the first bite, I had to slow down and tilt my head back and savor it. Stop in and get a couple yourself. Hmmm is it lunch time yet?

* Parts taken from original post 2/17/2020 *…read more We wanted a chicken sandwich... so my husband and I drove to this location to eat dinner. Upon entering, we noticed the dining room looked as if a toronado wizzed thru it. ALL the trash bins were in the middle of the floor and their cabinet doors were wide open. Trash and food littered the floor and tables. My sandwich was cold, old, soggy bun and dry chicken. I asked for a refund. The red beans and rice was only 2/3rds of the way full... I mentioned it to my cashier and he said, oh I'm sorry about that. Then turned to continue sweeping the floor right beside us, while we were trying to eat a meal in peace, and without dust and dirt from the floor being stirred up into the air just to float back down onto our food. We left and will never return to this location. It's the worst we've seen. So sorry to have to leave this review. But I feel I owe it to my fellow Yelpians who are counting on the accuracy of our reviews, in able to trust dining at these establishments.
