I debate this with the woman because I'm a nonsmoker. She told me that they found and ash. So I asked if she would send me a photo of said ash? At that point the room had already been cleaned so she could not. And at that point they already had my card and knew there was nothing I could do. I was not given the discounted rate at check in. I was told they didn't have that rate and the website was updated. I didn't have the email saved to prove otherwise. My uncle had a screen shot of his discounted rate so they gave him his rate. We came in early, our room wasn't ready so they put us in a different room upstairs. We were in there for an hour and a half with the ac at 60 and it wouldn't cool down. The fridge wasn't plugged in and it takes 24 hours for it to get up to temp so we couldn't store milk in it. My family had rented 4-5 rooms total and the conference room so I put our cold stuff in the fridge in the conference room. I went downstairs and asked if I could get my dad's keys to make sure his ac was on and fridge plugged in. The ladies weren't friendly about it but gave me the key and let me know I was to bring it right back. A little bit later I went down to switch rooms as our ac obviously wasn't working and the lady seemed irritated about it. She went to talk to the younger lady who worked there and came back and let me know she didn't want to clean another room. I let her know I didn't want to stay in a room without ac. She finally gave me the keys for the other room, but the whole conversation was just absurd, no customer service skills at all. As we're switching rooms I can hear her being nice and laughing in cionvo to my husband, but all her interactions with me were just rude or cold. I let my family know to check that their acs work and fridges were plugged in but decided against telling them about the attitude figuring it was a one off off. My cousin's family gets in and asked to make sure they had a room with a good ac and the woman says "how am I supposed to know" with a bunch of attitude. My cousin sends us all a message about the rude lady. We felt lots of negativity Friday night and Saturday. They came in to replace the ac on Saturday after my complaint. The Saturday night lady was very friendly, but the others were not.

My family has been coming to StillWater Resort for many years now and I have to say we've always…read morethought highly of it. Until this year. We couldn't get a reservation this year due to the lateness of our planning but still wanted to rent a boat from their marina. We were told "no problem!" On the phone and got the boat booked. Drove 4 hours from our home for the purpose of some fun on the lake in our rented boat and were told they could not rent to us because we were not staying on their resort. Now, if this is the policy, that is fine, rules are rules. But the fact that we were never ever told this and then rudely rejected upon arrival is extremely disappointing a quite frankly an outrage. It ruined our trip and made us very angry, especially the fact that the resort didn't seem to care at all that this was their fault with lack of communication and didn't try and give us an apology or anything to make up for it. Safe to say, we will never be returning to StillWater and I hope this review will help them improve upon their customer service and communication skills.

They were the only place that had available rooms for Labor Day weekend and I understand why- because most people would not accept these accommodations. The furniture was so bad I wouldn't sit on anything until I covered it with blankets. The appliances were extremely old, the bed covers had holes in them, splatter on the walls, cobwebs, and there was what looked like black mold in the shower. The reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the air-conditioner worked well, the microwave and fridge did work, and after some fiddling I was able to get a couple channels on the old tv. The young man who ran the office that weekend was extremely nice and pets are welcomed. So would I stay here again, sure, but only after a thorough updating!
