The Wheel Inn truly is a village pub - the only place I've ever shown my ID and had the landlady say Oh, I think I know your mum and dad! Turned out she'd lived near them 20 years earlier! Anyway, whilst it is a true local, it's a nice place to have a drink and does tend to attract some younger drinkers these days. They do have a range of drinks but seem to mostly sell beer - the bottle of martini they dug out for me looked decidedly dust. It tasted fine though, and the prices were good. It's very comfortable and welcoming inside but there's also an area to sit outside at the back, which we opted for because it was a lovely summer evening.
