We have been using this team for multiple years and have been very satisfied / no issues / all good. The gentleman that has been working with us for years has retired and a new tech came to our house to work on our sprinklers. It was not the best experience - in fairness he was early in his career (we have all been there). Long story but punchline is a water line burst in our basement while he was working on the sprinklers - I wasn't home - so my wife notified him that water was shooting everywhere - not good. Unfortunately - he did not know how to shut off the "main" had to call his supervisor. Precious time had been lost and several personal items in our basement were ruined. Not expensive things - sentimental things like pictures. I came home immediately and saw the mess and was appropriately upset. My wife and I were retrieving stuff / cleaning. We were told that a plumber needed to assess - his company is not (nor does it advertise to be) certified plumbers - they focus on irrigation. In the heat of the moment that did not make a difference to me - I was angry. Meanwhile - we secured an emergency plumber to come at 9:00p and it was going to be expensive. I was convinced the broken pipe was not a coincidence - that it had to be tied to the irrigation issue. I conversed with the Lawn team via email and said I hope the owner comes with an open mind tomorrow to help us get to some sort of common / good answer - and I will try to do the same. When the emergency plumber arrived - I didn't tell him the irrigation company or tech - I just said - "could he have caused this?". The plumber said "no - nothing he could have done would have caused this - the house is 15+ years old and parts wear out and he has seen this before - they just break". In fairness, he did say the tech should have known how to shut off the main as that would have mitigated much of the damage. Once the plumber completed the repairs I emailed the owner saying "he was right - it was not his tech - I apologize for so quickly assigning the blame". I said I do look forward to meeting him tomorrow as we still have a sprinkler head issue to resolve - but I do regret how quick I was to judge. This morning was parked outside of our house 5 minutes before the scheduled time. I met him on the front porch - we looked eye to eye - and he said "thank you for the update last night". It was sincere - I owned my own small business for many years. When things go wrong it is very stressful - and things will go wrong - people are not perfect / no one is. We reviewed the plumber's work and then he said lets get that sprinkler fixed. He did it himself - no one else there - just hand on shovel and in the mud. He then knocked to inform me that it was all done. I asked him "what do I owe you?" - and his answer was "nothing - you have been through enough the past 12 hours". Think about that - I attacked his business without incorrect assumptions - and he still took the high ground. One true thing in life - character is not revealed in good times - it is when things go South you wee what the person's character is. We shook hands - looked each other in the eye with mutual respect and everything has turned out fine. So my point in all of this - mistakes happen - but what I experienced today was an owner of a business doing the best he can to do the right thing. Respect for him. Of course I wish I never had to deal with the water leakage issue - but in some ways I am grateful. Glad to know there are good people out there and are fighting the good fight. What I experienced was that the owner was a fair and decent man - and we walked away on good terms. That seems like a rare thing in this world today - so it was really impactful to me - I saw what the man was made of / his actions when things went bad and I respect him for that. Thank you Jason. The landscaping crews turned it on just now and the water gushed out of the weak joint. I need it repaired now, so this crew is going have to do it. I've been using Lawn and Sprinkler Guys for basic maintenance for years, but I'm going to choose a more competent company for this type of work. For the subsequent treatment we called to schedule and they told us we didn't need to contact them to schedule each treatment because they would just show up when it was time. That was a few months ago now and they never showed up for any further lawn treatment so we've moved along to another company that is leaps and bounds better at communication. Additionally, we paid to have our yard leveled and the equipment they used did not successfully level the yard. So we asked the new company we hired for lawn treatment to do the same and they did a much more thorough job with this also.

Any problems I have had have been fixed in a timely manner, most under warrantee. I had some issues with my front porch and even though it was slightly out of warrantee they fixed it for free. As I type this they are aerating, verticutting, overseeding, and fertilizing my yard and doing it right. Their pricing is competitive and their communication is top notch. This is a great company that I cannot recommend enough.

Poor/non-existent customer service. 2020 This company was…read moreproviding service in my neighborhood and I was recovering from a couple herniated discs in my back so I called and used them for the 2020 Spring/Summer season. $40 per mow for my medium size lawn that takes them less than 5mins to mow. Signing on was fine but response to my communications was slow and I often had to call or email multiple times to pay my bill each month. I was told Covid had pulled Rachelle away for child care meaning Rob was left to manage the business so everything was happening slowly. The mowing itself wasn't great but it was getting done. The team followed the same exact pattern every week they mowed which formed ruts in my lawn. I've never used a lawn service before so chalked it up as part of this being a basic-level, relatively low-cost service. Then the lawn care team mowed a hose that was in my backyard and didn't tell me. Just shredded it multiple times and without skipping a beat kept going. When I called the office and left a message Rachelle called me back and was apologetic, offering to reimburse me for hose. I told her that wasn't the point but instead I was concerned they had damaged my property and not bothered to tell me. I was assured that wasn't acceptable and not the level of service they normally provide and that they would talk to the team member. In June I asked them to raise the deck on their mowers because they were scalping parts of my lawn completely killing the grass. No reply. They advertised they could do additional services like verticutting, aerating, and fall cleanup so I left a message requesting a fall cleanup. No reply and i didn't know if it was actually going to happen until they just showed up one day and did it without letting me know to expect them (so I could lock my dog door to keep my 4 dogs inside). They blew a ton of leaves underneath my large deck up against the house attracting a varmint who nested there and into the window wells. I had to roust the varmint and clean the window wells out after they were done. Not okay. I had paid them over $100 to take care of of the leaves and instead I spent hours finishing the hardest parts of the job. I was waiting to receive the bill to call and complain. However, two things stopped me. First, I didn't get a bill until the following spring. Second, this company had proved they're working on a shoestring and that my opinions about their poor service didn't matter. I emailed to discontinue service in October and asked to settle up my bill. The mowing stopped but I didn't get a reply or the final bill until the following spring (2021). Yes, I got an invoice 5-6 months after my final service which was the fall cleanup. 2021 - I recovered from my back injury and enjoyed the Spring/Summer season of yard care on my own. We're approaching fall now and this company has a team that still mows 3 of my neighbor's lawns. I know this because they park the company truck and equipment trailer in front of my house every week even though I'm not a client. A couple weeks ago the team pulled up as usual and parked on the street directly in front of my house which reminded me I had intended to call to see if they could finish up the season for me. So I called the office and left a voicemail asking if the team that is right here, right now could include my lawn which takes them less than 5mins to mow. No response. Not wanting to lose this opportunity, I stood outside in the cold and waited until the team was done mowing my neighbor's lawns then asked a team member if they could do my lawn since they were already there. I got a blatant smirk and a rude no, pretty sure we're not taking on new clients. I thanked him and went back inside. I called the office and expressed my dismay at the rude treatment. It was uncalled for. No reply to either call. Today the team was back and mowing my neighbor's lawn and parked in front of my house, walking through my lawn to do it. I asked them not to walk through my yard. They agreed then did it anyway. These guys are just completely rude and tone deaf. Overall, I'm frustrated with the poor customer service of this company. Covid was an excuse that I accepted that for a year. But I think this is the new normal for this company and it just doesn't work for me. So neither do they.
