i order an item a few months ago and paid for next day service by ,waited in all day and no post so i phoned dpd up and was told it may come by the cut of time,by this time was 18.30 driver turn up and was told he wasn't going to come due time?(well i paid top price for next day). so i put that down as a one off,few weeks later placed a order for next day again paid top price,only later the following day was told the items had to come from another warehouse to be delivered to shop to be post out the following day (this is now two days) phone up shop to find out what's going on,only to be told that one of my items had to come from another warehouse which will take a day to get to shop to be posted.BUT it clearly states in stock on web page.later on that day got a call from them saying that they got one in store (it was another customer order) i can have that one and be with me the next day ( ok fair enough they tried ).next day midday checked my account online for status for delivery only to see not posted.phone up shop only to been told that their been a cock up your item will be posted the following day and you will get it following day by this time (48 hrs ) so spoke to store yet again got the fob off,spoke to the main man who was rude. told him that i will travel 70 miles round trip to get my items up,he said thats ok we just do a refund on the postage.got to shop only to find out that the main man cancelled my order (which i paid by paypal)and refunded back to pay pal without telling before i left home,was told i had to pay by cash or card (in which i had none on me at the time)they refuse to me pay by paypal in shop saying that they can't do that in store only from their web page.in the end after kicking off big time they done it by paypal. the store assistant who delt with this matter put his hands up and said it was his fault for all this,fair enough he did say sorry,BUT the main man(the boss) i found he was rude and arrogant and seem to look down at you if you was on the bottom off your shoe. this is the type of people you spending your money from(spent over £250 during this month from them) AND NOT ONE PENNY OF MINE IS GOING TO THEM AGAIN BAD SERVICE,THEY DON'T KNOW WHATS ONE ARM IS DOING WITH THE OTHER IS DOING. ill start this off with a positive, i went into Wheelspin to discuss buying a New RC model, i was thinking about one of the HPI Flux models, after a good discussion with the member of staff, i went away with all the details i required, and just needed to think about which model was the correct one to buy, i then went back in 2 days laetr and purchased a HPI Bulllet ST Flux, with Plazma battery and charger, this was purchased on a saturdey morning,(this was a birthday present for my son) i new the charger was slow so went home and put battery on charge hoping it would be ready for the following day and his birthday, after 6 hours i noticed smoke coming form the connection with the charger, i quickly turned everything off and unplugged it all, the white connetor and started to melt and the wires melted away from the connection, stopping it all working, becuase this was a saturday evening i could not do anything until the monday morning, i went back to Wheelspin and explainned to them what had happened, they had a quick look at the charger and battery and told me that it was quite clear i was think and had pulled the wires out causing the short, and that i would have to buy a 2nd battery if wanted to use the car, this was almost said with a smirk, what worse is they refused to give me there website price, as i dodnt have a voucher, i have since contacted HPI who contacted Wheelspin and have then come back to me with an almost word for word identical response, gain saying i must of pulled the ires out, as it is impossible for any of there equipment to go wrong and as Wheelspin have so many yrs experiance they would always be correct over a member o fthe public who is quick clearly stupid and doesnt know how to use the equipment, to sum it up Wheelspin are wonderful until the point you have spent any money with them and from that point on they are the biggest waste of space i have ever had to deal with, and i whish i had paid the extra amount and gone with a smaller shop who would give you the service, if you take myadvice dont buy anything form them, and if you do and it goes wrong you may aswell just bin it and go and buy a replacement from another dealer read more

E-REVO Brushless with Lipo's, wheelie bar and battery charger UAC-50 and heavy duty charger leads. Hi all, I used to have Revo 3.3 nitor car for 3 years. I did crash few times blew the engine few times, but its part of the hobby. I had break for years, but I decide I am gonna treat myself and get something powerfull. So I bought E-Revo brushless with Lipo's. Also I bought proper charger with proper leads and wheelie bar as it has got too much power. Ok, now I know what you thinking. It costs lots of money. It does, its very expensive toy, but I can assure you its worth every penny. Car is very nice, tough built to withstand heavy crashes, but again try not to. Controller is very nice, but down thing it's support only ipod not android, but that doesn't bother me at all. If you want to know how fast you going you can purchase GPS for as low as £30. My question was about batteries. How long will batteries last for on full charge? Remeber you will receive 2 11.1V 5000MAH Lipo's. (Heavy duty battiers) I recieved an email from wheelspin that batteries will last roughly 25 to 35min. I have been out 3 times now and it took me 1h 40min to make that empty and I mean going full throttle all the time no breaks at all. Just a little thing, its worth to get wheelie bar if you like bit of full throtle or bit of wheelie. About a charger. It's worth to get one (£55) , but you have got so many options like fast charging, normal charging, balance charging, discharging and it tells you if you have got any errors, etc. It takes roghly 90min to charge 1 x 500MAH lipo. I never used fast charge so dont know how long it will take. So. I always say you always get what you pay for. And this is exactly what you pay for. It cost a lost but its one perfect rc car. I was doing 35mph at 50% of throttle. And pushed it to 95% and it was doing wheelie at 40mph+. So there you go, lots of power. Just recommedation: I purchased Countour Ram 2 for catching nice moments with my car. It's full HD, very very nice videos and you can put anywhere you want on a car. Some reasons? 1 you have a vast choice of spare parts 2 you have almost everything in stock for Traxxas parts (incredible, you are as well supplied stock as American online shops, for a European shop it is exceptional!) 3 your website is very well done (except for one thing: in the shopping cart page it is not possible to see which is stock and what is not, we must go to the product page for availability of an article, it would be nice to have an overview of the availability in the shopping cart directly) 4 I discovered that you have an online ticketing system for customer service, I find it very professional, comfortable and optimal for the communication with the customer, follow up of open questions and support tickets is transparent and very accessible 5 you have shown for the previous orders that you deliver quickly, and when an item is in shadow stock, it is generally stock the next day. You did it again this time, thank you again for that! 6 and then you just show me that you are flexible, highly reactive, and also very good traders (refund, order split, workaround for a missing part,) 7 Prices are good, not the best on the market but given the convenience of online store and the service you provide, I do not even ask myslef the question. I'm looking for price PLUS value, not only for the lowest price. My son had decided he wanted an RC car he saved all his birthday money to pay for this his self I discussed the car he had chosen with staff there and they assured me it would be suitable and he would have no problems. He went ahead and purchased the car on Friday paying 120.00 took it home charged it up took it out for literally ten minutes when a screw that holds the arm to the wheel on popped out !! I took it back Saturday morning they made a repair as they had no more replacements in stock tested it round the shop and the same happened again so again it was took in the back and repaired again being assured now it was fixed took it home. I took him out on a big open grass space after 15 mins of driving same happened again!!! Took it back first thing Monday requesting a replacement as obviously there must be a problem to be told absolutely no chance. They claim it to be crash damage when I assured them there was no way as he was driving it in a large open grass space, their attitude staff and manager was absolutely disgusting very rude and a really smuggish attitude as if saying tough luck I am taking this matter further I would not recommend anyone to go there and will be doing my best to let everyone I come across know that once you have spent your money there do not expect any help or aftercare. read more

Top marks for customer service. I ordered an ARTF EDF jet on next day delivery, but the delivery company somehow lost it en-route and it disappeared without trace. So often it is the customer that has to chase the delivery company to find out what has happened, and as often happens the delivery company is unhelpful or unable to provide a definitive answer. When the delivery didn't show on time, it was late evening. A quick email to Wheelspin and they took over, they responded quickly and understood the problem, said what you would do, kept me informed while they investigated and quickly sent out a replacement. They even refunded the next day delivery fee and were helpful and polite when I was on the phone, slightly frustrated and wanting it all fixed quickly. It's not when things go right that show how good a company is, it's how they deal with the problems. I'm more than pleased with my replacement Panther EDF. And despite the built-to-cost Asian ARTF finishing, and some required airframe re-enforcement it flys very well, and is great fun to throw around the sky. An inexpensive first foamie EDF, easy to transport, handles well if flown gently and best of all it sounds like a jet. Though that's more the slightly unbalanced fan than turbine noise. read more

I recently recommended Wheelspin to a friend, who after doing some research found the review below and told me about it. I'm a middle aged man who has been into rc cars for many years and have used this shop for longer than id like to remember and can clearly see that some one has spat there dummy out of there pram because they didn't get what they wanted. I'm sure that if you buy things off there web site and pay for them you get the web price and wait for it to arrive USUALLY NEXT DAY ON MOST THINGS if they have it in, and yes there is a WEB discount for doing this, which is even better if you know what you want. anyway as i said i have used the shop for many years and always found that I'm always offered friendly advice on what would best suit me best from very knowledgeable staff that are all to happy to spend time with me to help me get the best out of my hobby. there stock levels are very large and they usually have most spares in stock to fit my HPI savage anyway id like to say a big thank you and well done to wheelspin for all there help and support over the years I've used them keep up the good work guys I'm sure ill see you soon read more

On 3 separate occasions I have been into wheelspin models to buy items that they list as In Stock and they are not you will normally get the stock answer of its in the warehouse which translates to its at CML or other suppliers. They are very unhelpful and look at you as if you are a complete idiot and talk to you as if you are something they have just trod in, in some cases they look at you quiet aggressively especially if you ask where the warehouse is and can I collect it from there its quite amusing. Now you might be thinking why did I go back well im a team driver and sometimes I need things fast and cant always wait for things to be posted out to me, now im not saying who I drive for but there one of the top manufactures in the world. There is also no point phoning through to check first as they will normally say that its in stock even when its not I dont actually think they now what is in stock and whats not. In short there a waste of time and im not the only one that thinks this I dont know a single person who has had a good experience with them save your time and use someone with a good reputation read more

I first went here about a year ago to buy my son a car as it was his birthday and have since been back many times. The chap I spoke to had a lot of time for me and showed me lots of different cars. I didn't buy at the time, but went back a few days later and saw the same guy who remembered the cars we had looked at and let me know exactly what I'd need. I've been back a lot since, and bought my son another car and also one for myself. We 'bash' together a lot and are always breaking things, but Wheelspin always has the bits we need. A few times I've needed bits they dont have, but they normally get these in a day or so. Most I waited was about a week but in fairness I dont think this was their fault too much. It is a big shop, and admittedly they can be a bit under-staffed sometimes - I went in just after Christmas and they were swamped with newbie's just like I used to be! Please, please keep up the great work!! - Being a newcomer to this hobby I was all for giving it up and finding something else to occupy my spare time, due to the poor service and lack of professionalism that I had encountered at nearly every other so called 'expert' RC shop that I have visited. I am a recruitment manager for a large national company and as such means I get to visit a great deal of the country - (and quite a few model shops that just happen to be fairly close to my destinations!!) I can honestly say that every time I have visited or telephoned Wheelspin Models, I have been amazed at the level of in-depth product knowledge, massive stock levels and willingness to help me out. Spoke to Steve at Wheel Spin Models to get some advice on purchasing a 1:8 buggy. Steve was extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond in the amount of help and time he was prepared to offer. I must of been on the phone to him in excess of two hours deciding what would be the ideal model for me. I went ahead with his advice and picked up the model he and his team had recommend as an ideal kit. Received the package by way of courier, safely delivered with no damage. Have since spent time assembling the kit, have phoned back with questions and queries which Steve could not of been more helpful, once again, with answering for me. My only negative comment is that they could not accept my offer of a voucher for Steve to thank him for his help. I have spent £££s with wheelspin over the years and they have been quite good until my latest two orders. The first one I wanted next day Saturday and was told the postage would be more. I was charged £25 for postage on top of the £7! £32 for postage!! Extortionate! Then made another order for next day which costs £7. It has taken all week and was told it would be here Friday. It's now Saturday and they are saying it is now going to be here Tuesday and still they want to charge £7 for next delivery. I am now canceling my order and taking my £££s elsewhere. I think when some company's grow they forget about customer service.'edit' canceled the order but can't have my money back till Monday because their 'accounts' aren't open till then. I love Wheelspin Models and I wish I had found their website years ago. The website is a pleasure to use, with a great search facility, easy to navigate menu system, and the really useful check boxes down the side to narrow the results of any category you might be looking at. If only other RC websites were so well designed and thought out, but most of them just aren't. Wheelspin is also very competitive on prices, and has a massive range of models, and equally important, spares and option parts. Their customer service is second to none, whenever I have emailed the customer service department they have replied quickly and been very helpful, sometimes even replying within a few minutes of my sending an email. So, 10 out of 10 for Wheelspin models (or 5 out of 5 in the case of Qype). I'm sure I will be buying from them for many years to come. read more

I have now used Wheelspin for a few orders for my Heli's. I also bought a Blade 130X from them recently. The service is fantastic and dispatched straight away. I ordered a flight sim last night just before 5pm and within minutes I received an email to say it was dispatched and with a tracking number. These guys must be the fastest (and best) packers around. Very very happy with the service as I live in the NE of Scotland and none of the nonsense of we can't deliver to that postcode etc. What's great is that you know the postage costs (free or not) up front instead of going all the way through the ordering process to find out a lump slapped on for postage then VAT also added to that postage cost. There appears to be lots of reviews on here that contradict my experience with Wheel Spins Models. For me, Wheel Spin Models have been brilliant. They are the perfect hybrid of online and bricks and mortar. They have online pricing which is competitive, mixed in with a bricks and mortar store which has friendly and knowledgable staff. As I'm reasonably local I've popped in many times to upgrade or fix my various drones and remote control cars. The staff are always helpful and they have really good stock levels for the various parts I need. The store is also really big with plenty on display so even when I just pop in for a part, I tend to almost always walk out with something else as a present for my self. Whilst it seems people are always quick to jump on and criticise a company that's perhaps not given them the answer they wanted....! I feel compelled to share my experience of Wheelspin Models after reading some of the other reviews on here! I have nothing but praise for these guys. I have been coming here for several years now and whilst a year or two ago some of their staff weren't the most helpful, that has long since all changed and anyone I speak to there now has more than enough time for me. Their stock levels are very good, far better than any other shop I have ever visited, bar none! These guys are top notch. I came here at Christmas to buy my lad a car and even though they were very busy, the salesman took the time to go through the ins and outs of what was what, why this car was better than that, why this one not so good, etc, etc. He also spent plenty of time telling me how to get it up and running and mentioned several times that if I had any problems, all I had to do was give them a call and they'd help out where possible! Suffice to say, I of course ended up driving into a kerb at full pelt so used their services again within a few weeks! The parts were on the shelf, reasonably priced so again I left a happy lad.
