Please take my honest word and stay away from this law firm. Trust is very important when hiring an attorney and being required to pay a large amount of money upfront. This attorney cannot be trusted, will take your money, and will not answer basic critical questions. He will completely ignore your concerns. I trust a used car salesman 100x more than this attorney. I hired Joey to take my property settlement and move it forward. From Mar 2023 to Mar 2025, he ignored emails and critical questions concerning my case. When I asked questions or attempted to address concerns, he would get an arrogant attitude with me. That does not sit well with me since I am paying him for a service. For 2 years, I have asked for my concerns to be addressed. It was not a simple issue of miscommunication. I reached out multiple times to address the issue. I let him know the multiple hardships I was going through and his office showed zero concern. This is a complete lack of sympathy or concern for his client's hardships. For an insensitive attorney to treat a hardworking veteran this way is unimaginable. I have saved the multitude of emails not responded to. He has blown me off for 2 years, telling me in writing he is too busy to answer my questions. Not only is this completely unprofessional, but according to the Louisiana attorney disciplinary board, it is also unethical. He was always late for scheduled conference calls and then wanted to charge me for them. He admitted to not reading my correspondence or questions because he was too busy. He was several months late sending me correspondence from the other party. He has violated his profession's code of ethics for 2 years. This lawyer is completely unprofessional. I will have to proceed with a formal complaint and hire another attorney after 2 years of no action and undergoing many hardships due to this lack of action. I never write reviews, but everyone needs to be warned about this attorney. Take my honest advice and stay away!
