From the moment we arrived, everything felt so intentional, peaceful, and truly special. This place is not just beautiful it's meaningful. Oak Meadow Ranch focuses on conservation and ethical animal care, and what really stood out to me is how they treat their animals with such respect. They do not believe in practices like deveining or declawing, everything is done in a way that prioritizes the animals' well-being, and you can feel that the second you step onto the property. We had the opportunity to experience their exotic animal encounters, and it was absolutely surreal getting up close and personal with these incredible animals in such a safe and respectful environment. You can tell they are genuinely cared for and loved. One of my favorite parts was getting to meet the owner and his daughter. The knowledge they shared, their passion for what they do, and the way they took their time with us, it was beyond impressive. You don't get that kind of personal experience just anywhere. Their customer service was truly top-tier. And let's not forget the dining, The Whitehorse Steakhouse was just as amazing. Such a perfect way to end the night. Hands down a 10/10 experience. There was no WiFi for the RV sites, so we had to use a Verizon hotspot. We stayed on the end of the second row, close to the hotel, and our connection on our phones and hotspot would drop off every 5 minutes. There are laundry facilities in the hotel, but they are locked, so you have to get the laundry room unlocked to use. I cannot speak to the hotel rooms. The ranch is picturesque, with cool buildings that are all locked up tighter than Alcatraz. There is a pool, but the pool house is locked up. There is no dog park, although there are some pens that can be used if you secure the gate. There are some dogs that are allowed to wander freely off leash. Beware the Chihuahuas, as one of them nipped me and my husband on separate occasions.

He's very friendly and wants visitors happy. The internet is top notch, 5G service. The older couple that managed this place have moved on so no more biting chihuahuas. The pool is OPEN. The cafe has had major upgrades and they host karaoke and line dancing nights. The retreat areas are locked b/c these are rooms for guest to stay in and probably not to be dirtied by people who just wanna looksy. This place is peaceful and quiet. You can play pickleball, basketball OR have a bonfire if the weather permits AND they have farm animals in the back that are so cute! Roosters, turkey, goats, pigs, ducks, rabbits. You can just walk over and they come up to you. You're also around 6 minutes to the lake and 12 minutes to downtown Gainesville. We didn't get outside because it was cold but it looked like it could be fun in the late spring or late fall! Easily there were about 25-30 women there and it felt spacious with room for more. The venue is small yet warm and inviting. The backyard is a decent size. They have a restroom, kitchen and an upstairs at the venue. The appetizers and desserts were yummy and I enjoyed the live music. Being able to hear one of the volunteers who used to be in the foster care system share her story of overcoming adversity was inspiring. I look forward to attending another event at this venue in the future.
