And hand signals, body language get through the rest of it. Some customers just don't seem to have patience maybe? A lavender scented cotton steam mask was provided as part of the massage. At many walk-in massage shops, they seem to use cheap low quality lotion. It smells bad and dries out my skin due to the alcohol content. The therapist here used Tiger Balm!! It made for a really pleasant and deep massage, with the healing properties of the balm. I love the smell, but it may not be to the liking of others. I did not pay more for the Tiger Balm but they also have some aromatherapy oils for additional cost. My foot massage took a whole 60 minutes and it was just feet and legs. Some places also do a mini neck and back. Didn't bother me - if I wanted a back massage I would have paid for one! Five stars would have been for a slightly elevated experience such as a private room and candles/ambience. I'll definitely be back and will try a back massage.

The spoken language barrier wasn't the issue, but the tone and body language was down right rude. I'm not too familiar with massage terminology, but I did not get the relaxing message I requested at all... just 60 minutes of back and neck overkill....aggressive to a fault despite my request to ease up. I'd like to think it was because she didn't understand. But the few times I'd lean up to try and say something, she'd rudely tell me to put my head down. I almost got up and left, She had requested I keep my underwear on...a little odd but not a problem and likely an indication of her lack of experience. Anyway, I left sore and with a splitting head ache. But I still took the high road and left a 20% tip, but she wasn't even up front to collect it. Some guy was. Oh, he gave me a water to go. Nice But the more I think about it .. a negative review is in order. The other therapists must be better based on other reviews. Anyway, the stressful issue I'd been dealing with before I called to begin with came back to mind as I was leaving. My massage was no more than an unpleasant distraction with a headache as a bonus. I'm new to massages in this area, but not new to having them. I used Yelp to find this location. It's tucked on the side of of a small, older business park but easy to find. The ambiance is tired but appears clean and functional. The three stars is for the ambiance and brought down by the thin walls and lack of apparent situational awareness by other employees. Partway into my 60 min relaxing messaging a conversation started somewhere in the area that was so muffled none of the words were apparent but loud enough to know it was two people talking and laughing. Extremely distracting from the quiet and calm I've always experienced in other spa locations. After getting there and getting into a room which was nice and clean, I was ready for my massage but she wasn't quite ready for me. The massage started about five minutes late which is no big deal because most places will make that up at the end by going over the amount of time they started late. Soon after she started with the massage her phone rang in the lobby. She answered it and talked about 4 or 5 minutes to a potential client. She came back in and started to massage again then she received a text. She left to answer that. She returned to finish the foot she started and moved over to the other foot. As I was telling her about some issues with this foot and where it was really painful, she got another call. I looked at my watch and noticed she was gone five minutes with this call. When she came back I informed her again about the problem area which she glossed over and went through her routine of just a basic massage to fill time. At the end of the one hour she promptly said that it's been one massage done. I did give her a small $5 tip in spite of the fact that I only received about 40 to 45 minutes of an hour massage and she didn't address the issues I was hoping to get looked at. I will not return.
