I rarely leave negative reviews, but the complete lack of respect for a customer's time and property at this location is unacceptable. I booked a 7:30 AM appointment for a "Gold Package" detail over two weeks in advance. Because I had commitments in the evening, I explicitly confirmed with the booking coordinator that the car needed to be ready by the afternoon. I even paid out-of-pocket for a rental car for the day so I wouldn't clutter their waiting room. When I arrived at 4:00 PM with my child to swap the cars, I was completely caught off guard. The front desk told me it wouldn't be ready until close. When I pressed a technician for a real status, she claimed it would be another two hours and "just the outside" was left. That was a complete fabrication. When I finally demanded my car back as-is, the truth came out: after sitting on their lot for 8.5 hours, my car hadn't even been started. It gets worse. To rush it out, the detailer just sprayed water on the outside, threw my soaking wet floor mats--covered in chemical residue--straight into the back of my vehicle, and piled my personal dashboard items directly on top of the wet chemicals. My child's soccer chair and my legal vehicle ownership documents are now water-logged and ruined. When I brought this to the Service Manager, she showed zero compassion or accountability, offering a generic "I'll talk to my team" brush-off. When I called back later to report that my legal documents were ruined by her staff, she literally had her team lie and say she had left for the day, right after two other employees confirmed she was still there. This isn't my first bad experience here--a previous visit involved waiting 45 minutes past closing just to get my keys--but it is absolutely my last. Now I'm stuck on a weeks-long waiting list with other detailers because this team wasted my entire day and damaged my documents Avoid this location if you value your time, your money. read more

If I can give it less than 1 star I would. Since I bought a car from this dealership I hate their customer service, and the maintenance depart is the worst I have every dealt with. Car was making a noise when I hit 100-110k, I didn't notice when I bought it as I drove at 80 when I test it. I told them when I noticed it, no one care, then I took it in and they checked it and changed one tire and said it's good to go. I noticed the noise still there, they wouldn't come with me or even take it on the highway to test it saying it's danger to go above 100k, I said yes but even 100k you still hear it, this is the normal highway speed, still no one cared. A few months later I changed the tires to winter tires but the Mechanic didn't noticed the difference until the summer when I went to change the tires at Costco back to the summer tires, they refused as the tire the dealer changed was different one and Costco can't take the liability as this is danger. When I went back to the dealer they said it's compatible and they won't do anything. I ended up buying a whole new set costing me $1500. Then tried to install dashcam, the guy that installed it noticed something wrong with the rearview mirror as it should hook to it for power and it had no power, so I called in and they said go to the guy that install it, I tried to explain the power to the mirror has been missing since I bought it as I didn't know, I'm not a mechanic, then they said it will cost me to go to diagnosing. I will never go do maintenance there or buy another car from them ever again, and will make sure all my friends and family know. read more

Took delivery of new Civic in Oct 2024 and the vehicle had deep scratches on DS mirror, the door pillar panels were all scratched, a door was out of alignment and there was a chip in the front DS fender. Pretty sure the PDI is supposed to catch these issues and they should be addressed before the customer picks up the vehicle. The dealership agreed to replace the panels as well as replace the mirror assembly. Panel replacement required that the trim on all the doors also be replaced. The dealership had the vehicle for about three days and when I picked up the vehicle I discovered fresh scratches in the paint on the PS windshield pillar, DS window pillar, both mirrors as well as on the window seals along the door. There was a dirty fingerprint on the cloth door panel as well as dirty dust fingerprints on the PS door panel. The same dust/dirt marks were also on the edge of all seats closest to each door. I also discovered that they did not replace the mirror assembly as was promised and written on the work order. I sent numerous emails to the assistant service manager Sarah Evans as well as the sales manager Trevor Carew as well as the general manager. This was in November, and at no time has anyone from the dealership attempted to contact me to address my concerns. I realize problems can arise when servicing a vehicle, but professionalism would dictate doing the right thing and addressing the issue rather than ignoring the customer and hoping they will loose interest. 0 Stars - Terrible Experience at Whitby Oshawa Honda I bought a 2014 CR-V from Whitby Oshawa Honda, and it has been nothing but problems. The transmission causes serious vibration, and the AWD puller is also faulty. The total repair cost is around $5,000, which has put me under major financial stress. I went to speak with the sales manager, Trevor Carew, to ask for support. Instead of showing understanding, he was rude, sarcastic, and dismissive. He claimed they didn't know about the car's issues, which is clearly a lie -- they were fully aware before selling it. He didn't even want to look at the diagnostic report I brought from Action Honda. Trevor Carew is not fit to be a sales manager and should be removed. His behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. If I could rate this dealership 0 stars, I would. Based on my experience, I strongly do not recommend doing business with them. Booked an appointment for an oil change, buddy took my name and number and said show up right at 9, got there at 8:45 and waited through a rediculous line. After finally getting into a booth which does not do oil changes, they told me i actually had no appointment booked and its first come first serve, despite telling me i had an appointment and taking my information, so i decided to leave and come back later. Later in the day, i tried calling service 3 times with no answer, so i tried the sales desk to see if someone could give an approximate wait time and she just transfered me to service who still did not pick up the phone. Stay away from Whitby Honda, especially for used cars. I bought a certified 2016 Honda Civic in April 2022. When I picked up the vehicle my wife noticed the windshield had a bad chip with cracks at the top passenger side. I had just went from the dealer to my daughters about two km away and my wife saw the chip then. I went right back and showed Dan the salesperson. First he said that could have happened when you took it off the lot. I said I was only gone 5 minutes and assured him that wasn't possible on side streets that are all paved. He agreed it was not likely however I was annoyed he would even go there. He then said because it was above the field of view and on the black part of the windshield (which made it hard to see) it wasn't part of the certification. I was further annoyed and disagreed. He called the service manager who oversees the certification and he said it shouldn't have been certified and needs to be replaced. This is an American made car and it would take a couple weeks to order and replace. I said that was fine since this was a second car. I also mentioned the brakes felt rough and they're was a noise coming from the vents. The service manager stated the brakes passed inspection and we're fine and the AC noise is normal. So I left my vehicle to have the windshield replaced. I picked up the vehicle once the windshield was replaced and took it home. Later that year when I had the snows rotated for summer, my mechanic, whom I fully trust and has always been straight with me, advised me the brakes and rotors were badly worn and all need replacing. I found this unusual since I had only put around 5,000 km - mostly highway - since purchasing. I asked him why they would have worn so badly so quickly. He said based on the condition he wouldn't have certified since the wear overall far exceeded mileage driven. So my concern about the brakes at purchase was valid however it was ignored by Whitby Honda Sales and Service. Now for the AC... during the recent heat wave in early September my AC could not keep the vehicle cool. As I stated earlier at purchase I had mentioned an odd noise that the service manager stated was normal. After some investigating I found that this year and model of the Honda civic has a defect where the condenser corrodes due to the refrigerant used. I called Whitby Honda and talked to the service department and they checked and stated it was an American car however was covered under the extended warranty due to defect. There would be a charge to analyze however that would be waived if it was a condenser issue. If anything else was wrong I would be charged which I understood. I made the appointment to get the AC checked. I brought the vehicle in and when I went through the procedure at Service admittance I mentioned the defect Warranty. The lady at the desk stated there was no warranty since this is a US car. I told her I was assured during the appointment phone call that it was. She then took me to the Service manager who echoed the same. I was really irate at this point having been run around by Honda already. I told him I had advised sales who did not take my concerns seriously when buying the car. I mentioned the issues with the brakes and AC concerns. The Service manager just stated that sales and service are independent which is BS since I bought this car from Honda and bringing it to Honda Service. I could care less about their sidestepping accountability. In the end they basically said it was all on me... the fact that they certified with worn out brakes and a broken windshield and discounted my concerns about AC noise at purchase has nothing to do with Honda. Even though they sold me the car they won't stand behind it. The moral of this story is that you need to know that Honda will dodge and ignore any concerns once they have the money. After that they want you to service your vehicle there to take more money that you will spend because of the vehicle wasn't truly certified. I feel cheated and lied to. July 13, 2020 I decided I was ready to purchase a used vehicle and based on reviews went with Oshawa Honda as their deemed "most reputable" in the region. I was set up with sale agent Jason N. He showed me a few cars and we ended up test driving one that was JUST received on the lot and not yet cleaned. The car was full of dog hair and the smell of cigarettes. The car overall drove smooth, however made a weird sound with the brakes and A/C did not work. Jason advised the brakes were due to nobody driving the car "for a while" and the a/c will be fixed, as well as car detailed. I purchased a used 2016 civic and Jason advised it would be a couple of days to prepare the car. He will call me. I got a call on the 17th from Jason advising that the A/C requires a part and it has to be ordered, however the car is ready for pick up. I advised Jason that I was not taking a car that wasnt in 100% quality as that is NOT what I am paying for. I will either wait for the part to come in or they can find me another vehicle in the same price range as he didnt know how long the part will take. Jason said he would speak to his manager to see how long the part will take. He will call me back. The part was estimated to take 6-7 weeks (due to covid). The monday, July 20 I physically go into Honda to see what other cars they may have as I didnt want to wait for the part as I was in need of a vehicle. Jason was not available that day so they paired me with a Sales agent Mark. Mark assisted me in looking for a new car in the same price range however he couldnt find the cars on the lot. Apparently it was new cars just purchased that he only had access to the fob and the information on the database but not the actual vehicle. AGAIN, I was told to wait for a call as he will CALL me once they arrive on the lot. At this point I had to rent a vehicle as Honda again and again continued to let me down and I needed to get around. On July 25, I went back into Honda, looking for Mark and was advised that he went on vacation. Mark never called. Matter of fact NObody called. At this point I was furious and wanted to just cancel and withdraw my application as I felt completely mistreated. I asked to speak to the manager and got paired with Trevor Carew. Trevor understood my frustration and offered to pay for my rental until the part came. THIS I was most thankful for, given the circumstances of everything that occurred. The part finally came in September 15, and I picked up the car September 25th. The car was filthy. Disgusting. Dog hair everywhere. Extreme smell of cigarettes still lingered. (See attached pictures). This is my 4th car i've owned. The 2nd used and this is by far the worst experience i've ever had. Which car sales place doesnt detail a car before handing over the keys? Especially a Honda dealership? Believe me I wish I hadnt signed those papers. I called Trevor Carew and advised him of the issues and he said to send him pictures, He would take a look at them. Which I did. Again never received a call back. The next day I called again, making sure he in fact did receive them and he said someone is going to call me back to set up an appointment to bring it back in. That day will be coming up in a few days. NOW the car is smelling like burning rubber everytime I exit the car. So JASON assured that everything was fixed with the brakes (which im now 100% sure didnt happen) and it's long weekend and I have to hopefully find a mechanic that is open or I cant go anywhere as I dont know what the issue is or want anything to happen as I'm driving on the highway as I have kids. I am at my wits end with Honda Whitby. They are unprofessional, rude and lack customer skills in so many ways. I am very upset having bought their "owner comfort plan". I have tried to get 3 dings/dents fixed and they don't do it. I went in 2 months ago go to get pictures done by a porter. I called in 2 weeks later, having heard nothing and was told they couldn't locate the pictures. I was told to come in May 18th for more pics to be taken. I got up earlier, showed them the dents/dings and explained the issues of the Bluetooth not always connecting to make calls. Instead of testing it by saying, "call dad", they paired it with an iPhone (I have an android) and said all was fine and that they couldn't duplicate the issue. When I say, "call dad" it works 80% of the time. The other 20% is reads off a code something like **2654**90! No one knows how to fix that.... Later that day, when I was in line (to pick up my untouched car), another employee was raising her voice at an older, quiet, polite gentleman. I couldn't believe it. I almost said something. How rude and embarrassing. Everyone could hear her ask him, "Why did you come here?" He said Honda Canada told me to. She repeated, "Well why are you here? You wasted gas and time". Are you kidding me? So on top of being ubered to and from work, I had to wait another 15 minutes to pick up my car. I was so upset when saw that NONE of the dents/paint chips were fixed. They didn't even seem to have looked at them! This isn't right as they are billing for this and not fixing it. They said repairs were done! Nope! Not 1 of the 3 I showed them. The car was dusty and untouched. They didn't even have the courtesy to wipe the bird crap off my door. Even the uber driver (who drove me back to the dealership) told me he hates Honda Whitby and that he wants his money back for a protection plan, they don't honour. I am demanding that as well. It's a money grab. They gave him a free oil change. He declined ($70 vs $1k!) He was told to take his review off Facebook and they gave him a coupon for a free car wash. He ripped this up and put it on their desk. His comments were shared all over Facebook and he was hounded to take them down. My friends have also had horrible customer service there. One went for a test drive and when she wasn't interested in purchasing or discussing financing, the salesperson wouldn't return her insurance back! When I bought my CRV, I was told by Dan that if I didn't give him all 5s on the survey, it wasn't worth doing it! My ex-husband will never go there again nor will my friends. I will never ever buy a Honda again. I can't wait to get rid of this car and company. I have been in contact with Kyle (great customer service). He said he'd pass my concerns to the service manager Tomy. That was May 19th. Tomy has yet to call or email. I even emailed and called Kyle again and he said Tomy would reach out. He hasn't...... This is my second review on my experience with this Honda dealership. I will not do business with Whitby Oshawa Honda after my current lease term expires. Several weeks ago, we scheduled an early morning appointment to fix a minor surface level stone chip on our windshield. This appointment was scheduled after examination by Carrie who confidently said it could be fixed and confirmed that if we didn't address the issue, it could be problematic when returning the vehicle at the end of the lease term. This morning, the day of our appointment, we dropped off the vehicle. When checking in, we showed the chip to the staff. A few hours later after returning home, I receive a from Jimmy Olidis, our point of contact for our appointment letting me know that Eddy, the mobile windshield repair service contractor cannot find the chip. I tell Jim where it is and tell him this was communicated both to Carrie when the appointment was initially booked and pointed out to the staff who checked us in when we dropped off the vehicle this morning. Shortly after, I receive a call from Eddy who says the issue is minor, cannot be fixed and won't be an issue when returning the vehicle at the end of the lease term. As I'm expressing my frustration with the miscommunication and overall experience, Eddy tells me he doesn't want to hear any of it as it doesn't pertain to him and to take it up with Honda. I then receive a call from Jim again at which time I discuss the experience and express my frustration. I can think of at least one other way this situation could have been handled differently so as to not waste everyone's time. Each experience with this dealership is terrible. I was taken care of by Jason Nghiem who did a superior job and did not pressure me excessively into buying a car. He was professional, smart, and honest. I had a positive experience buying the car from him, as he was fast and efficient. A few months ago I was fiddling around on the website and came across a function which indicates how to find out the worth of your current vehicle. I filled out the application, and was instantly contacted by a representative. She was able to set me up with an appointment well ahead of time, and along the way she followed up with me to ensure that I was still coming in. The day of, I came in early just in case (as it was a Saturday). It took approximately 20 minutes before the reception could acknowledge me. When I was finally able to approach, I was told that I would be met with by the individual there within a couple minutes - nearly 25 minutes went by from that point. The representative finally showed up and starts off with telling me that he didn't even realize he had a meeting with me. Once I finally sat with him, he asked me why I was in... I explained that the meeting was set up weeks ahead so that I could get my vehicle appraised solely for my own curiosity. The gentleman left to go speak with his service department. Upon his return, and after 45 minutes of waiting, and after having been told I wasn't acknowledged, he told me that I was not going to be able to get anything completed for me that day because it was too busy (what's the purpose of booking a specific appointment?!). Disappointingly, I left and decided to inform the initial representative who contacted me online, and I explained the above situation. She explained to me that I would be contacted by the Dealership Manager very soon. Two weeks goes by. I proceed to fill out the complaint form on the website, and almost instantly I was contacted by the Manager. Unfortunately, he thought it was a great idea to call me and leave a message after 9pm. The next day I called him back, but only got his voicemail. Get dealership....great sales people but after 20 years I'm done with Honda...they want to charge me 1300 dollars for back brake pads and front rotors to be skimmed and a four wheel alignment although the car runs dead straight cause I took it to my mechanic...then guess for them to look at my brakes and tell me all the things wrong oh oh and a little grease on the sliders andnthey charges me 190. But again two hondas in family all the time since 1999 amd we are done! Went here for my A1 service and they were very accommodative because usually they don't do their "quick service loop" on Mondays because one one tech is working, but they still took me in right away. Customer service is pretty good here, but the only thing i would recommend to the management is that you tell your customer when the service is done! Bought a SUV from Whitby Oshawa Honda a month ago from Jaweed who was rude and unprofessional throughout the entire sales process (at one point when I was asking a question about the car I was about to buy he looked at the girls behind the counter and asked them to "give him poison now" to put himself out of his misery). He also refused to walk me through the interior functionalities of my new SUV when I asked him. When I Was signing the paperwork with Farra, she made me feel extremely rushed (tapping her nails on the desk and rolling her eyes at me) after I spent thousands of dollars on my new SUV. Long story short they did not include my vehicle registration card (required by law) to me which was informed to me to my surprise by Service Ontario. Meaning if I got pulled over by the police I would have incurred a large fine, loss of points, and if the car had been stolen it was not registered to me so who knows what would happen. After two long trips to Service Ontario, another $40 spent on my new registration card (which should have originally been provided to me by Whitby Oshawa Honda was the night I bought the SUV). A very disappointing experience that only gets worse the closer I look. I would highly recommend that you catalogue any equipment present in the car because if you notice shortages upon delivery, the dealership will not respond to your concerns. I was concerned about the rust build up on the rear brakes. Again, no response from the Service Dept Head. Upon closer inspection, to remove rust build up on rotors and calipers I discovered that both calipers had lateral splits ! The pads appeared to have been replaced but how could the tech miss the surface rust and the split rotors ? I'm sure this would not pass safety inspection. Can't see the brakes ? Satisfy your curiousity by taking a look at the air filter. I had to replace mine in less than a week because it was full of crap. Also check the list of service requirements on the Service Computer. I was referred to this location by a friend and was able to pick up lease a new car from them. There were no gimmicks or lies that most other dealerships would put you through. Transaction was smooth from beginning to end. Sales, Financial Manager and Sales Manager all responded to any questions I had through e-mail and text even after hours. My car even had a big ass red bow on it when I went to pick it up. Too bad I couldn't keep the bow lol. The dealership is clean and well lit. Waiting area had beverages, couches and tv for your wait. I called and made an appointment to view/purchase a specific used vehicle. I was coming from a significant distance so I booked an appointment with a Sales Manager (Iftikhar Khaliq) and asked that the vehicle be held for me to test drive/view/purchase. I assured the Manager that I intended to purchase the vehicle and asked if he wanted a down payment to hold the vehicle until I arrived to arrange the purchase. No worries at all - we will hold it for you, I was told. Upon my arrival 2 hours later, no arrangements had been made and after speaking with another Sales Manager on duty, I was told that this vehicle had just been sold to another client a few minutes ago. I asked how could this happen as I specifically called 2 hours prior to make sure that a situation like this would be avoided. "I just checked with the General Manager (John Biglow) and it's a firm deal" I was told by the on-duty Manager with a shrug of the shoulders. At no point was an apology offered, nor did the General Manager (who was well aware of what was going on) come over to apologize and/or see if something could be put together on another vehicle with a little more incentive to purchase and keep the customers that came to purchase a vehicle, happy. This dealerships salespeople were nice to deal with but the service and detailing were horrible. I bought a used car from this dealership 2 months ago and in the contract had confirmed that they would fix some scuffing/paint chipping on the car and clean and detail the car (as it was covered in pet hair, dirt, and food residue from the previous owner). The pick up date was arranged for 1 month later and the day I went to pick it up it was very poorly detailed and the paint chips that were to be fixed as put in the contract were NOT fixed still 1 month later. I am still waiting to have my paint fixed 2 months after the purchase of this car. Not impressed. read more

Sorry for my long review. Please read. Stay clear of this dealership. They will sell you a piece of crap and then expect you to just be ok with it. I have worked with Derrick in Sales here. I have been in touch with Trevor, Dominic, Fara, Sara, the list goes on. The General Manager is John Biglow does he does not answer his phone. I have left him three VM's so we could try to sort out my issues. Buy a Toyota if you are considering a Honda. Way better reliability. I sincerely regret my purchase. Honda has too many issues. I bought a brand new Odyssey and the same day I had 3 issues. I purchased a vehicle 3 weeks ago from this dealership, a new 2019 Honda Odyssey Touring. I purchased it on Sept 18th, 2019. We were scheduled to pick it up on Sept 25th at 1pm. I got a call from Trevor on that day saying the Car will not be ready, pick it up Sept 27th. My Sales rep was Derrick Charles. I came as scheduled to pick up my car on Sept 27th and met with Trevor. The Bill of Sale was wrong and had to be corrected three times before they said it was ok to re-sign. When they finally brought my car, it was not clean. They said, sorry, let us clean it. I had completed my PDI which was poorly done with Dominic and Trevor(we did the PDI outside, not in a bay). Then when I was about to leave, they asked me if they could mail out my Ownership, to which I said no. They finally ran back to the Ministry and got my Ownership for me. I did not leave the dealership till nearly 5pm on Friday and had to head back from Whitby to Brampton(88 kms away). Whole day wasted. Now I drive the car home and I notice the Oil is at 50%. This is a brand new car and the oil change should have been done(showing 100%). Then I hear a noise from the brakes which is constantly heard. I call Trevor right away and explain these issues. There were actually three issues, the brakes, the oil change and the rear temperature control was not working. Trevor ordered the part for me and scheduled me to bring the car in on Wednesday Oct 2nd. The car is brought in and looked at. The oil change gets done and the rear temperature part is installed and issue fixed. They said they don't hear the issue with the brakes. Not sure how this is not heard since the noise is extremely obvious. My concern is, this Van is for me and my family and we have 2, 11 month old twins. I don't feel this vehicle is safe. When I drove the car home on Wednesday a new issue started with the Radio. I asked Trevor what that was and he did not comment. He threatened me that our discussion was border line harassment. WTF. He told me to call Honda Canada. I have no clue how he felt that way, when I was the victim here to Honda. They are the big fish, I am a nobody. Till this day I have no resolution to my car, both the brakes and radio are constantly acting up. I have contacted Honda Canada and waiting on an escalation from them as well. My contact there Sean Anthony is escalating since I did not like his advice. He told me basically to pound sand. I will not just be ok with a brand new car, making noise. Its unacceptable. I am concerned for my family's safety since I have no idea why my brakes are making a noise. Could something be loose? Not sure. The concern with the radio is that it suddenly goes from being normal to making a loud noise which is startling, I don't want this to cause an accident. If this causes an accident I will blame Honda 100%. Please do not buy a Honda, if you insist on a Honda then stay clear of this dealership. They are not professional and they have no clue how to treat people. They sell a lot of cars apparently but they have no idea how to sell them well. STAY CLEAR. Try to avoid the Mgmt here, Trevor and John(well John doesn't return calls so you might never reach him). Please buy a different make and model. Take my advice, please read more

So I really was UNHAPPY with my experience with whitby oshawa honda. At first the service manager, Carie, was good and found the problem with my car. I decided not to go ahead with the fix and Carie told me that she would get the mechanic to put everything back the way they found it.... they didn't. When I went to go and pay/ pick up my car, they couldn't find it in the lot. It took 3 different employees and 25 MIN for them to find my car. I get in all mad at this point and don't even realize that half the seats in the back aren't put back in. I get a call from my wife the next day about how she can't get the kids to gymnastics as the seats are not securely put back in. She tries to put them in herself and ends up hurting her back!!! She couldn't get the seats to go back in and the kids missed their gymnastics class that day. Im very upset with whitby oshawa honda dealership for the lack of professionalism that I have experienced and will NEVER go back. read more

I was investigating buying a car from them and despite several attempts to contact then via email, I never received contact except by way of automated replies. Eventually, I bought the car anyway I paid for a year and two months of licensing and I got them to throw in a set of all season mats. When I picked up the car, the mats were not present, and only because I noticed they then mentioned they were on back order. When they gave me the keys, they only gave me one key fob since the previous owner (a Honda head office employee had not returned both) and a new one was $311.85. After using my trunk for the first time I noticed that I hadn't gotten the extra year of licensing, again because I noticed. They agreed to refund the money. After waiting a few days to receive the call to inform me about the mats being in, I called them and they were in and I could make an appointment. which I did. Upon arriving for my appointment, I proposed that they keep the licensing money and give me a key fob, given the terrible experience I'd had to date. Denied flatly by the GM. So, if you're looking for customer service of any kind, or honesty, or fulfillment of promises, don't deal with these scum bags. My sales person, John Baird was a good guy, but he is culpable to some extent since he didn't ensure that the agreed upon and paid for conditions were met. Completely unsatisfied. If I could have given zero stars, I would have because that is exactly what they deserve. read more
