They had free coffee while I was there which was tasty and also for sale in small packages. I assume a local coffee company but forgot to ask. My wife and I found several items to purchase. I bought some old spoons to make a wind chime. My wife found an Iris and Herringbone bowl for $4 (either here or next door... I forget.) They do have a clean restroom. I didn't get the address but their next-door neighbor to the left is 8362 Old Hwy 171, Grand Cane, LA 71032. I did jot down their hours which are Tues-Fri 10-5, Sat 10-2, Sun-Mon closed.

Relatives were in town so we headed downtown for some shopping and came across Fortney's on Main Street which had a sign in the window that said the business had moved 3 blocks away to Mound Street. We headed that way and found the Fortney Home which is an historic mansion filled with antiques and collectibles. The owner has filled the whole house with items and each room has it's own theme. Lots of high quality stuff for sale here. The owner is a longtime business owner in Nacogdoches and has had several different businesses over the years. Check it out! You will be surprised about how much stuff there is here.

I didn't find much other than a doll here though. For me these things are more like vases and those sorts of antiques. I sent a message and was quickly reassured the item would be shipped out by next week. I became suspicious that I was not going to receive my bowl when another week passed and I did not receive it or a tracking number. I started to lose hope and thought I was going to have to contact my bank. A couple days went by and I sent another message basically requesting a refund if the item was not available and I'm so glad I didn't receive a refund. My bowl is so beautiful. It looks more like a piece of artwork. It is worth the cost as well as the extended time it took to receive it. I highly recommend Martinez pottery.

Got the entire dinner plate, salad plate set, a large bowl for bread making and a batter pitcher. I've never been so pleased with everyday pottery. Solid feel, fantastic quality and not a chip on them after eight months. Highly recommended .
