We went to Green Bay for the 49ers/Packers game. My lady is a 49ers fan, and I'm a Packer's fan so this was a chance for us to see both of our teams play. Saturday before the game we were looking for someplace to grab some lunch. My Lady being Gluten Free found White Dog Black Cat. This is a smaller restaurant with a fun atmosphere. It's definitely a little quirky. We found it welcoming. Upon arriving we were seated promptly and the waitress answered all of our questions regarding the Gluten Free options. Most importantly you can substitute for Gluten Free bread for $1 more. We both ordered the Garlic Burger... Roasted garlic and cream cheese... how can you go wrong? It was served with Chips. The burger was fantastic. It was really good, especially if you like garlic. If you don't like garlic or are a vampire, stay away. We were both very pleased with White Dog Black Cat. The food was fantastic, the waitress was awesome, and we loved the food. Definitely worth the stop in. read more

This was another 3 1/2 star place. Servers seemed a little frazzled and menus were slightly sticky. However, the drinks were on point. Another place with Pepsi products (oh the horror!). My husband was not a fan of the mushroom soup. However, the rest of our party enjoyed our Chicken Cordon Brie and Dinner Steak plates. I will say the garlic potatoes had a nice flavor, but they were obviously instant. We'd go back to this place again. They had some live music going on Saturday night as well. read more

Ambiance is a little different. Mix of old/outdated with some updates. They have a lot of art on the wall for purchase. Food was ok. Server was very attentive and polite. We stopped by white dog black cat cafe many years ago for brunch but this time we are here for their dinner. It's Friday so they had fish fry specials. The server is so sweet and nice. We brought 2 very young children and the server gave whipped cream shots for the kiddos and they absolutely loved it. We ordered Walleye Plate, Perch filet and tuna poke, and The fried fish was pretty good. The tuna poke has good heat, we ordered seared rare and some pieces came a little well done but overall seems okay. Still gave the five stars for the outstanding serves. read more

The vibe here is fun and artistic. There's a colorful wall mural on the exterior. The light fixtures over the bar are topped with bowler hats and the wall opposite boasts framed photos of dogs. There is original art on the wall in front and more art displayed within the space. They serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The brunch menu is small but offers enough to tempt most palates. I was leaning toward French Toast, as I'd seen some great pictures on Yelp. However, when our friendly server told us about that Sunday's Quiche, we changed our minds. Quiche is only offered on Sundays. The Cheeseburger Quiche comes with ground beef, roasted garlic and cheese. It was photo worthy and satisfying. The fruit and potatoes that came with it were better versions than expected. The fruit being top quality and nicely portioned and the potatoes having a crispy crunch and savory potato taste. We topped our order off with a side of bacon to share. It came out perfectly crispy. The vibe alone makes me want to come back to hang out some more. The food is good to fan worthy. Stopped in for breakfast while visiting Green Bay on vacation and had the eggs Benedict. The eggs were poached a bit too hard for my taste--no runny yolk--but the hollandaise was delicious and packed with flavor. The real standout, though, was the side of potatoes--absolutely amazing. I also had a Bloody Mary, and it was hands-down one of the best I've had. I actually tried to go back two days later, but they were closed (major bummer). What a great place for breakfast in GRB. Though I didn't partake, the bloody marys looked like breakfast in a glass. I opted for the Heart Attack Stack and was not disappointed. It's now called "White Dog Cafe" and it was such a cute little hole-in-the-wall place. The host and my waitress were very nice. I tried real cheese curds and at all of them, they were so good. I had not only 1, but 2 of the Caramel Apple Old Fashioned and the Sour Apple Mules! I would have kept drinking those but I was about to go on a Segway tour. Ha! Very lovely staff and the drinks are creative and delicious! I ordered a "junkyard dog" drink and it was so sweet I loved it! I also order the ahi-tuna poke bowl! I would say it was a fusion between a Korean poke bowl, with a midwestern flare. The tomatoes were a very odd choice that clashed too much with the other flavors so I took them out. read more

What a great hidden gem in Green Bay. The food was amazing. I ordered the House Steak with 8oz steak, garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli, shrimp, onions, and mushrooms. My steak was cooked medium and it was delicious, The garlic mashed potatoes were the best I ever had and the shrimp was perfect. To drink I ordered the Pack Alpha with Jameson, honey liquor, simple syrup, orange juice, and bitters. The drink was amazing as well. Obsessed. We came here for Saturday brunch and sat at the bar. The decor is super cool - photos of dressed up dogs everywhere . Their brunch menu isn't huge but still delicious. We tried the Al pastor eggs Benedict and the lobster eggs Benedict. Both were phenomenal. They also have tons of fun brunch drinks - spiked coffee, mimosas, bloody Mary's. Decided to try here after seeing such great reviews. Large groups made it so loud in there. They where switching over from brunch to lunch so that took much longer than anticipated. Which was not that big of deal as we where not in a hurry. The mushroom soup was the best thing. I honestly would go there just for that. The tuna poke bowl was blah. Menu said spicy, it had no spice to it. Comes with cucumbers which turned out to be 5 huge slices. They needed to be sliced thinner, maybe cut in half. Our waitress was very attentive, even with a full section (lunchtime), she took time to answer our questions about the menu and offered suggestions since this was our first visit. I'm very glad we listened! The garlic and cream cheese burger was absolutely delicious and unexpected. I ordered mine with the gluten-free bread (which was toasted golden brown) and my partner ordered his with the brioche bun it is normally served with. Though the menu doesn't appear to have many gluten-free choices, all of the bread or hamburger buns may be replaced with the gluten-free bread option.
