It was MORE than worth it. This time around my interactions with the person checking me in was far more comfortable (vs. our interactions last year). My massage therapist was also the same person as before and she did a great job once again. I got to choose the type of massage I wanted (gua-sha), but after talking to her about my issues, she offered to try the cupping technique as well to relieve my pain. The dessert they provided was dry and to rich for me, so I ate half of it. That said, they offered to box up the rest (which I declined). The champagne was tasty... I could have gone for two glasses. I ordered the meat and cheese platter for $16/$18 (+ fees) which wasn't very good. I just think back to the one I had last year and that one was far tastier and had more options. Anyway, if you want to know my other thoughts on the spa... feel free to read my previous review.

Aside from some fun pampering, I have terrible muscle spasm in my back and neck and therefore also need a good massage from time to time. This place was perfect for "special occasion" luxury feel, service, but also the best massage I've ever had. You walk in and get a mini tour of your very nice and private locker room, change into a robe and slippers, and are asked what beverage you like which includes anything including cocktails! You sit in the relaxing room and are met by your drink. My therapist gave a great massage. I could tell she had listened to what I needed, she targeted the bad areas perfectly. She was nice, attentive, funny, and made the whole experience great. I will absolutely be back!

There are so many places to rest, read, ponder, write, or what ever! There are ample hiking trails. I usually took afternoon runs up and down the dirt road so that I would not get lost. The best was super comfortable, and there is plenty of space to park. The one thing I noticed, and really appreciated was that the retreat staff do not push any particular religious or spiritual beliefs on their visitors. We did pray and/or sing before each meal. But, the ritual was such that anyone could take part. They also offered a justice oriented devotional at lunch. Speaking of food! As a vegan, I often worry about going to places like this because if the food isn't great, I'm kind of stuck with it. And, they food was so so awesome! Really fresh, often times right from the center's garden. I was actually stuffed after every meal. They really went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the food, right down to dessert. I can't wait to go back to this peaceful and thought space.

I attended a 3-day women's retreat in early November and found exactly what I was seeking: rest. Located far enough from the cities, the natural quiet from polluted cars and air were really amplified in this space. Whatever you are seeking out, I trust you can find it by spending one or a few nights here. Upon entry, the staff had each room labeled on a sign so it was clear what room I would be in. I stayed in the main cabin which was a beautiful A-Framed building with a combination of single and double rooms. Amongst the 3-floors, there are various fire places, meditation spaces, tea/coffee/water stations, couches, art supplies, reading materials, big spacious windows, and a dining hall. Every meal was handmade from breakfast, lunch and dinner. These meals were nourishing for the soul and included various soups (yes, you can buy their Cook Book on site), breads, salads, teas and baked goodies. My favorite soup was the butternut squash with pomegranate seeds and parsley sprinkled on top! The kitchen staff is beautiful and really poured their hearts into hospitality and cooking. Each meal was greeted with a gentle chime so we understood the food was ready. Before each meal, we were always given the menu and read a prayer/reading. I appreciated that a few staff members would participate in these readings. Shout out to Anthony (great rich voice and so generous), Deb, and Brad (shout out on the mayonnaise buns). On my second day, the director came and spoke to us at lunch and shared the story of the Arc. The exterior grounds allow for play time and exploration with numerous trails and paths with a creek running just steps away. As I visited during hunting season, it was recommended to wear an orange vest/ hat (provided on-site). There is also an outside labyrinth and bonfire pit that anyone can use. If you feel like you need to get away, this is the place. Thank you, thank you for your hospitality when I needed it the most.

With Kate C. as our guide, I knew this would be a lovely experience. We focused on the goddess Lakshmi and plant Tulsi. Working with both energies really brought out the themes of sunshine, abundance, exploration and love for me. I got to play with all these themes on the property. Lake Osceola Retreat's land is outstanding from both the interior and exterior. Lush rolling green hills, varying ponds, hiking trails, lounge chairs, a swing hanging from the tree, sauna, jacuzzi, flowers, herbs and exterior porch were some of my favorites. The small details such as mosaics around the home made me smile. For wildlife I saw the cutest otter floating on its back for 20 minutes, 1 deer, eagles nest, a yellow bird, squirrels, butterflies, a frog and more. I had a serendipitous connection with another gal regarding the blue vervain plant that filled in a big portion of the landscape. Connected to the land is a lake which contains some kayaks and row boats next to the dock. Swimmers beware: while swimmable, the water is beyond murky and weedy. I did jump in to get the full experience along with a kayak adventure around the entire lake. Being there solo with only 1 other cabin on the lake was serene. The water was like glass everyday as zero motor boats exist. For my room, I had a the red lotus room and slept comfortably. The property has various wings where rooms exist. In my wing, there were 3 rooms and 1 bathroom. The retreat gives you shower towels and every gal brought her own beach towel and toiletries. The best part of the interior of the home was the yoga room where we spent a majority of our time. Yoga props such as mats, blocks, blankets and bolsters are available to use. For my retreat, we had a beautiful alter with flowers, tarot cards, pictures, reading materials and more. We did various yoga classes, guided meditations and women's circles. This space was extremely grounding and healing to me. Each day, my host made a meal. The kitchen was large and boasted a long wooden table big enough for all the gals and more. All the dishes and amenities were available for us to use along with a dishwasher. We had soup, curry, hibiscus tea, eggs, toast, berries, a cacao ceremony, coffee, tea, and dates with peanut butter. I will always remember how clear my mind was coming into this retreat along with after. I felt called to explore, be with women, and absorb myself in nature. All of this was possible because of Lake Osceola'a space and Kate C.'s magic. Thank you for sharing your home - it is absolutely lovely!!

Now if the valet will be available is a whole other story. It took a considerable amount of time to drop off my car and I had asked three different employees about getting change for tipping and this proved more difficult than expected. I was greeted by Laura - who truly was the bright spot in this whole experience. She was on top of it and so friendly. She got me a locker and got me set up. I was eager to come here because they boasted a steam room, sauna, rainforest shower, and hot tub. Lukewarm would be a great way to describe this experience. The steam room just didn't get as steamy or warm as I would like, I had to turn on the sauna myself and wait for it to warm up (energy efficiency maybe) and the hot tub had water features that were spitting out ice cold water - cooling down the whole hot tub. I didn't venture to the rainforest shower because I couldn't bear to be any colder! I did love the tiled heated chairs in this lounge though! Normally these features would be my favorite and I could spend all day rotating but Anda spa caps you at an hour. There are a few lounges that you can check out. The one lounge has a few snacks, unlabeled tea, and fruit infused water. As some one with allergies - the mystery of it all wasn't great. The other lounge had weighted blankets. I was told to wait in either lounge for my technician. My technician was around 10 minutes late to my appointment without any notice. I had to walk out to the front to flag a staff member down to make sure I understood the instructions correctly. This definitely detracted from the relaxed vibe. The facial was in a brighter room than I'm used to and obviously you're downtown so it can be a bit noisy. The facial itself was good and the technician had strong hands though I wish I would've researched more about the products. My skin has felt dried out since and it's just not the best experience I've had. I'm going to check out some other spa options before I return here. Again - Laura was phenomenal and the space is clean and modern - I just didn't have the experience that I would've liked for the price.
