I visited White River Tobacco for the first time earlier this week. I was impressed and enjoyed the experience. I got to visit with the owner. He's a good guy. I bought a pipe and some great pipe tobacco. Good store. Unique merchandise, a real Eureka Springs experience. I really like the iconic wooden Indian outside the front door of the store. The man that was working in this shop was extremely unhelpful and downright rude. He obviously didn't want our business and I'm sure this review will not matter. He was aware that we were shopping for a sensitive item that we had to purchase for a celebration of a recently departed loved one. We had no option but to make the purchase and I wish we could have spent money in any other place than this. read more

We stopped at the shop to purchase some cigar boxes and a cigar for my uncle. When we ask a question - the man running the shop was rude and acted like we were wasting his time. After I paid for my purchase (which was about $20), he turned to look at his buddy and said "I'm tired of this nickel and dime sh*t." I wish I hadn't spent a penny. read more

Great tobacco shop in downtown Eureka. Every time I'm in town I make it a point to stop by here, the atmosphere is great!

Good selection of products, however, the packaged pipe tobacco is bone dry. Overall prices are steep. The man that was there was friendly and helpful. read more

I needed change for a $20 so I could pay for parking across the street from the store. I went to the White River Tobacco store and collected over $40 in a variety of pipe tobaccos and put them on the counter. I explained to the owner my situation and asked if he could help. I was willing to buy over $40 of tobacco with my credit card if he could help me out by giving me change for a $20. The owner explained how tired he is of people coming to his store looking for change so they could park across the street. He went on to explain how it was not his duty to provide banking services for his neighbors' parking lot. As soon as I saw how little he cared about his own customers, I lost interest in buying anything from him. I returned my merchandise and left the store. The store owner next door was more than happy to help me out with breaking my $20 and we spent over $60 at her store "Fain's Herbacy & Better Living". I will never return to that tobacco shop and allow the owner to treat me like a nuisance read more

A cool place to go even if one doesn't smoke. The smell of pipe tobacco permeates the place upon entering. Great selection of pipes, cigars and tobacco products. They have glass jars of cigars which have been soaked in liquors like Jack Daniels or Chivas Regal. A very cool aspect of the place is their collection of replicates of old signs from the 40's-50's. They're not too expensive either. I bought two cheroots made in Kentucky as props for the movie I'm currently filming. It made my characters believable since the film is set in 1864! Owner of store was extremely rude. Not sure why he bothers to have a business or how he stays in business. It's not difficult to be a kind person. You think he would have at least tried to be helpful or nice for business purposes. He must make money doing something else, it's not from this store with his poor customer service. read more

The man who owns this store was awful, rude and would not help us pick out a cigar. Rushed us out of the shop as well. When I asked for service he said he didn't really need our business. Pathetic. Doesn't deserve anyone's money. read more

They have my favorite pipe tobacco that I have smoked for years and whenever I'm in town I stop by to stock up on it.

No way I would recommend this place, nor ever return. No greeting when we walked in. So, we looked around. Realized the humidor was upstairs, so I went up to check out the selection. Picked out two Montecristo cigars in the tubes (collectively $30, high but only shop around). Asked if they were fine to make it home the next day (Thur), and was assured they were. Got home and opened them both up, mold on BOTH cigars. Numerous calls Friday and Saturday during different times of the day, all unanswered. This is unacceptable business. read more

Pretty large selection of anything you can smoke or use to smoke. Great selection of cigars and they also have t-shirts and cool bar signs.

Seemed like a great place. I found several pipes I was interested in and my wife found some book ends to buy. But the person (owner?) sitting in the back would not even say hello when we walk by. Made zero effort to help in any fashion. And we were the only two people in the store. We walked out without a word being said to us.I am not sure how this place even stays in business. Cool little shop. Lots of cigars and tobacco smoking accessories. They have some pickles, jams and other jarred food items in there too. The bread and butter pickles are to die for. read more

Best humidor ever! Make sure to check out the humidor upstairs. If you are buying for a gift, you will not find more informed, helpful staff anywhere. I shop for my husband and they are really good about helping me pick out different cigars based on what he has liked in the past. Highly recommended. read more

This place does not stand behind their products nor did they know anything about them. Or where they even come from. When confronted with poor quality products he agreed they were awful. Awful customer service and cheap products. I will not go again. I spent over $40 here one day and he was still a jerk when the next day we brought it to his attention of his poorly made products that simply fall apart. read more
