White Rock Coffee is def worth trying if you're not from the area because they are unique to the area. The workers are super friendly and it's a great environment. I stayed in Texas for two weeks and went almost everyday. Only thing I hope to see next time we come back is a rewards system in their POS. I love this coffee shop! They offer a wide variety of fun drinks as well as some pastries and light breakfast & lunch items. I love their Adam Bomb, White Rocker, and Chai! The employees are always super helpful and fun to chat with, and their rewards program is a good bonus. The drive-thru is convenient, but it's a wonderful place inside, as well. There are lots of tables and it's a 2-story building so there's ample space for a good study session, if needed. Definitely swing by here and support a local coffee shop! read more

My coworkers were telling me I have to stop by White Rock, because their drinks were so good and I'm glad I did! The first time I went inside to order, and the inside is nice. They have tables inside, upstairs and downstairs. I would not recommend this place to be a study spot (even though I do see people study here), it's just a bit too noisy for me. It's more of a casual, sit down with friends spot. They also offer a drive thru option, which was great because I didn't feel like getting out of my car this time. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly; they made you feel comfortable asking them questions about any drink! I moved to the Lake Highlands area about a year ago and adopted white rock coffee as my main spot. The level of customer service and good vibes this specific location gives off speaks to the company's culture. After I ordered the same coffee drink a few mornings in a row, they had my name and order memorized. Everyone you interact with is extremely jovial, which at first can give off an almost dystopian vibe, until you realize it's just the result of a clear mission statement and total employee buy in. In short, everyone here is wonderful. I've sampled coffee shops all over Dallas and I can attest to the quality of their product as well. It's absolutely dank. The last time ordering it tasted like a completely different drink but did not have time to have it remade. The stranglehold of their iced dirty chai and iced half sweet vanilla latte has me coming here usually twice a week before work, it's phenomenal! The drive through is extremely fast and efficient and even at 6:30am the staff is extremely friendly. The inside of this place is tiny but the coffee and food options make up for it. I only popped into White Rock Coffee for an order to-go, but I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The coffee shop is two stories, providing a lot of seating for customers. As for the quality of product, I ordered an iced chai latte and was really pleased. The latte had a buttery chai taste, which was delicious. They are pretty heavy handed on the ice though, so I'd recommend asking for light, if you want your money's worth. Speaking of, White Rock is pretty pricey for the quantity of product. My group mate ordered a macchiato and it was nearly $4. A bit ridiculous for a shot of espresso and a bit of milk. The staff initially got my order wrong, making a dirty chai instead of a normal chai, but they were quick to mix the mistake. If you need a coffee shop to sit down and work awhile at, I think this is your place. Note that the parking lot is tight and fairly small. read more

Yummm!!! I'm not a big coffee drinker but I was meeting a friend on a rainy Sunday. The cafe was pretty busy as far as people working/sitting and chatting but there was not a line to order. I took a while to chat with the staff to get a solid recommendation. They recommended the iced white rocker and they were spot on! My friend got a chai latte and a muffin, he very much enjoyed it as well. They also sell bagged coffee which is great if you want to take your experience home. The only downfalls are that the parking lot is a little rough, and there were not a lot of open seats or comfortable chairs. read more

Came here late on a Wednesday night. Super cute. Parking's a bit tight for the cafe itself, but there's a lot of parking around, so there'll be parking spaces. Ambiance is amazing because it has a unique character to it. It's definitely a local cafe. There's an upstairs with bar stools and more tables. There was a lot of folks there doing school work it looked like. I ordered a mango peach ice tea (sweetened) - it was okay. It wasn't as sweet as I preferred, but it works This is s a decent place. From the perspective of a out of state Uni student, this is one of my favorite places to study when I'm back home for break and can't seem to focus at home. The coffee is great and is well worth the price. the environment is cozy upstairs and is conducive to doing work, wether you are a student or a WFH employee. Out of all the coffee shops I have been to in the US, this has to be top 3. Staff is super friendly and parking is never an issue. I would recommend any of their specialty lattes, they are so rich and creamy. Not too sweet, but not too bitter. I can't speak much on other drinks, but I'd imagine they are just as good. Compared to other study spaces in the area, I would also put this at #1, if only they had a rewards system then I would practically live here. White Rock is HANDS DOWN my favorite. Since moving to the Dallas area, I have tried so many local roasters, but the first time I ever had White Rock coffee was at their express location and I had to go back and get a second one just to confirm that it was the most delicious latte I have had in TX. I've also had their coffee at places like Brew & Batter and another coffee shop in the area. Every time I taste it's a dream. I was excited to go this location yesterday to introduce my mom and sister to it! They bought coffee beans to take back to Kansas City with them. This location also carries really cute mugs so I got one as a gift for my mom from my kids that says "love you to the moon and back". I also got a veggie wrap which was declines! Came here for a coffee stop before heading on the road and am so glad I did. I'm visiting Dallas so I wanted to get something unique to White Rock. I ordered the cinnamon Adam Bomb and a pumpkin roll. I'm a coffee lover so I don't like when places add a ton of sugar and syrups to the point where you can't even taste the coffee, but the Adam was delicious! Also, the pumpkin roll was sooo good. It wasn't overly sweet and tasted homemade. Oh and the service was awesome! It's a nice little coffee shop that's not Starbucks. Drinks tastes good. Chill vibe. However it's not a good place to sit down and get work done if you're planning on that. Here's why: 1/. It's always crowded with people sitting down and doing work. (Ironic eh?) So it's hard to find an open spot. 2/. The wooden chairs and benches are not as comfy. They have no cushion. 3/. The AC from the duct on the ceiling blasts cold air directly at you if you're on the top floor. Intermittently!! 4/. I'm one of those people who actually likes to enjoy coffee in an actual mug and not in a ubiquitous paper cup. But their mugs are quite bad and plain your Dollar store probably has better ones. 5/. It's not as spacious. Too crowded upstairs and due to foot traffic you get easily distracted downstairs. 6/. No hot food to order. So yeah, it's a nice little coffee shop that's not Starbucks. The store is so pretty and cozy. I used to get the pumpkin chai lattes here during the fall and they were AMAZING. I've came back on two occasions after the fall season and the drinks were so bland and felt like a waste of money. If WRC is too authentic to make a medium cap, then why are they serving them in the afternoon? Why do they make lattes? That's not authentic, either. This Eve person just enjoyed refusing service. What a great change from Starbucks, my usual go-to for a latte! They have a variety of flavored lattes that I have not seen elsewhere, like the English toffee latte. The staff at the front was super nice and helped us with selections as first timers. We did not feel rushed even though they were busy. Seating was pretty full, but we sat upstairs. All seats are wood chairs/benches, but I have yet to find any coffee shops with nice cushion seating. A lot of people were on their laptops or reading books. The shop has light music playing in the background. Parking in front and back is limited, so that's the only downside. If you are a latte lover, try this place out as you may find new favorite flavor combinations. I added hazelnut to my toffee latte for an extra sweet kick! You can actually taste the coffee in it (rather than just sugar and milk). Will have to try their food/snacks next time. They also sell coffee mugs and tea shirts. Neat little spot to get an early morning boost before you head off to your jog at White Rock Lake. This place shares parking with another business and the awkward hills, uneven pavement makes it hard to navigate through the parking lot. There is a small drive-thru (alleyway) and small seating area outside. Watch your car door when opening as it may fly right open & ding the car next to you due to the the slant in the parking lot. (Speaking from personal experience). My only complaint was the staff could at least smile or greet their customers.
