They have lots of separate car parks…read morealthough they charge alot and if you are even a minute late you will be given a strict penalty notice or even clamped if you are unlucky. They have several buses for patients and visitors. Once inside, it is very difficult to navigate yourself around the hospital. The staff are very busy, so it is almost useless asking them for help. Most of the wards are hygenic dispite what you have heard on the news recently. I would recommend using this hospital if you live in this region, although don't expect the parking to be cheap.

The lady serving was quite stressed as they had run out of cups, and lots of people had been asking for coffees. She kept calling me love and dear although obviously her heart wasnt in it. The tables hadnt been cleared for some time, and it was difficult to find a table although their were stools and a bar to sat at. Still capacino and pack of custard creams for £1.50. It could do with a clock for people to check on the times for their appointments.

St Peter's Maternity is a lovely little Maternity unit in Shepton Mallet Somerset. This is where I…read moreattended all my appointment with the midwife and eventually had my daughter. The staff team is small which means you become familiar with all the members of staff. I really liked this, as it was not overwhelming like big wards. The ward is well equipped but any labours that are likely to be complicated or result in caesarean sections will not be possible at St Peters they just deal with natural births. There are a few rooms on the ward for new mums to stay with there babies after birth. I stayed in the hospital for 5 days after having my daughter as I caught a fever and was unwell. The ward is clean and tidy. There are actual separate rooms for the patients rather then cubical.

I am so grateful for everyone there and this facility. I was also able to use the Postal Service to pay because of the information they were kind enough to provide to me on the sheet given. This is a brand-new purpose built hospital situated on the Bath side of town. As you come in along…read morethe main Brath/Trowbridge road from Oldford just follow the signs. It's easily accessible, has plenty of car parking, and the hospital itself is of course open 24 hours. From the town centre there are buses that can drop you off close by for walking distance. With the closure of the town's established Victoria Hospital earlier this year, this new Community Hospital was opened with great fanfare. Several years building had produced a purpose-built hospital which covered many facilities. A 28-bed inpatients ward, outpatients department, maternity wards, various Therapy centres, and the Minor Injuries Unit (also known as A&E or Casualty department depending on your local turn of phrase!) In it's favour it's modern and designed around the town's needs and fully staffed - which is fine if you live on the Bath side of town or have your own transport. But not so good is the fact that those on the opposite side of town without transport will find it a very long walk (impossibly long if you're unwell or injured) so will need to check bus times or book a taxi. Plus, the A&E type department is only open during the daytime, which is not helpful for those than get injured in accidents during the evening or night. Progress is not always fully comprehensive!

Having difficulty like so many, I went for an appointment where I was assessed, a diagnosis was given and a treatment plan was explained by Sally who was very thorough and knowledgeable. At no point was there any 'hard sell' to book in for treatment. My management plan was explained should I book back in for treatment and I felt totally looked after. I am booking back in as I was filled with confidence that the cause of my symptoms will be treated as opposed to just being given some possible prescription to over come the pain and discomfort I have.
