The gym was spacious with plenty of seating and scoreboards on both sides. It was very cold in the visitor bleachers since they're right next to the door. I did appreciate that they offered TGI Friday's potato skin chips, something you don't see at most schools and it brought back memories.

The lunch is so optional and so many different selections everyday. Not same old same old. The lunch also actually has flavor. The school isn't dark and depressing and students actually seem to enjoy there time. Hands on work I'm science classes which make it so much fun. The library is beautiful and colorful. Not just bland solid walls like PMHS.

There definitely are a few teachers more willing and legitimately care for the kids, but they are outnumbered by those who don't and are actually the ones that are not given many classes :-(. Does this sound like a God-fearing, faith based safe space for your children?? Do Christian's go around flaunting their bodies, objectifying their girlfriends, or bullying others to the extreme? The lady at concessions was rushing us so it wasn't great customer service. They sell slushes in 2 flavors, red and blue, for $2. For $3.50, the pretzel was soft, the cheese had a good texture and taste, and the size was perfect (not overwhelming). It was worth it. Another thing that's good at this concession is the Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies. You get 2 for $1.50, and they are decadent mmm. Pizza is pretty basic and not worth it. The school is easy to find with a clear athletic entrance. Cash and card is accepted for the entrance fee, card is a little more around $8. The gym is large in size, lots of parking but got really packed during the sectional games and was hard to find a parking a spot. Upstairs bleachers has two large fans, we sat up there for a game, and the air from the fan really bothered me, caused my eyes to water badly, I was annoyed.

It's not very good. The school had a bullying problem. I know people who had kids there and they…read moresaid that at lunch the food had mold and the staff tried to cover it up with a smiley face but the students were able to read it. The staff would also give high fives to the students. The school is very poorly made and crappy. They treat their students like prisoners and don't even let them use the restroom. And almost half of the kids get expelled. Some kids get mentally disturbed. but yeah if you want to put your kids in the school for 8th grade then that would be great because they need more 8th graders next year for class of 2030.

My kids have thrived here each year. One thing I particularly enjoy is the "buddy" system where they pair up a young child in the 1st grade with an older student in 8th grade for different events during the year. The students form a bond with each other. It is an early mentor/mentee relationship that works very well. I won't call out particular classes or teachers for being great because I would certainly miss someone. But, the school feels like family to us. I am writing this review during the COVID-19 quarantine. We've been e-learning for 10 weeks now. While it is not ideal, the school has not stopped being amazing. The teachers and staff have done such much in keeping in contact and ensuring the students are really understanding what they need to know to be ready to move on. A+ job St Luke!

Well I figured I should give my alma mater some love. I attended BCHC from 1996-2000, My experience…read morethere was very unique. My freshman year I was immediately drawn to the internally produced TV show. I got in and was mentored by a junior at the time who was a part of the original tv crew (it had just started a year or two before me). I soon took over co-producing the show and after my mentor left I was the producer and editor of the show. I also ran all of the AV for the liturgies, pep rallies and DJ'd most of the dances with my two best friends. Why am I telling you this? By the time I was a Junior I had a job working for Markey's AV. I started my career in Technology when I was 15 because the opportunities at Chatard. My story is unique for sure but the staff at Chatard supported me and helped me grow as a young man. On other notes not related to my career. I was and am not Catholic. Even though it is required to take a religion class every year I was not pressured in any way to take on their beliefs. I treated it as a history class. What was so amazing was that the Senior religion class was world religions. I always thought this was such an amazing things for them to do. And if you were a student there from the late 70's to the mid 2000's you had Mr. Powell as your teacher. I bet there are 1,000's of adults that when asked who is the one teacher that left a mark on you would say Mr. Powell. He was definitely mine. * The main reason my parents chose Chatard was their English program for kids with learning disabilities. I was diagnosed with ADD at a young age in the 80's. This program and the absolutely amazing teachers supported learning techniques for students with these issues. We were in our own small 6 student classroom for 2 periods of the day instead of being in the general English class. After 2 years of this program I was able to return back to the regular class. I will never forget how much that helped me in my learning through my entire life. Over the years I came back and volunteered time teaching students in the TV show program, photography in art class. I have donated art for the auctions and more. Why because I love this school. I could go on and on for ever about my experiences here. I will always be a Trojan!! And if any staff read this, I am always willing and able to volunteer. I have spent the past 22 years in the advanced technologies and engineering, photography and videography.
