We have used Wholesale Lighting for over 30 years. The store is 49 years old. Same location with the big glass block wall. Plenty of items and an even larger selection via catalog. It is a bit frustrating that you have to have an appointment but they do take their time with you when you do. You can come in and look all you want. If you only need one item no problem. We are doing a compleat remodel so will need the time to meet and discuss the project. It was nice to come in early as we were able to look around and they sent us home with a bunch of catalogs to look through before we meet again. For big projects you can also get 50% off so it becomes very worth you time to come in. They do not want pictures taken inside BTW. read more

We worked with Roseann and Michelle in 2020 when we were builing our home in New Smyrna Beach at the height of Covid - pre vaccine. They worked very hard to find lights and fans for us. Last week we had a problem with on of the Minka Aire Fans so I contacted Roseann and give her my name and address. She called me back in 10 minutes with the model number for the fan and provided the contact infomation for the manufacturer's tech support. I absolutely love this store I have an antique lamp that my father gave me he must have bought this in 1982 it was not working so I called in and wholesale lighting took care of me they put a dimmer switch on it and originally I had left with an LED light that was flickering so I called back I spoke to a wonderful woman who has been working there for a while and she got me on the phone with Ken Ken got me the right light bulb and checked out my lamp what a great business this is they are very professional knowledgeable honest and they really do have a great selections of lighting and lamps anything your heart desires this place has it and trust me this is way better than Home Depot or Amazon you get to actually touch and feel these lights and look at them and see what colors they give off beautiful store I highly recommend it read more

Please folks!! Buy your lights and fans somewhere else! Or at least have an electrician install!! I worked there for a few months and this is what their lead tech Dan leaves behind. I was fortunate that my builder (Fretwell) has had a long standing relationship with Wholesale Lighting, and in particular with Cathy Sturgill. Cathy was very thorough. She went over my prints on the new house, looked at all of the tile that had been selected, and also the cabinet samples for the kitchen and the bathrooms.She then methodically guided me with what appealed to me, and what didn't.I got an immediate sense that she was indeed a pro with her advice and analysis. ...You don't get that kind of advice and personal attention on the internet, or at a box store, and Wholesale Lighting's prices were competitive, but the advice was priceless. It took a few visits to narrow everything down, but Cathy was very patient, and her quick wit was entertaining as well. ...She'd be great on SNL! Eventually we got the order finalized, and it then went to the builder (Fretwell) And, actually when it comes to buying lighting for a new house it can be quite easy, and fun, as long as you choose the right company and get the right salesperson like I did! This company has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. They are happy to take your money all the while telling you how busy they are and making you feel like you are fortunate to have them assisting you. When I did not receive the complete fixture from one they took down in the showroom and boxed up for me, it took weeks of calls to get them to put this little piece for the pendant in a box and mail it to me. They are still telling me it was sent but I have my doubts if I will ever see it without going down there and making a scene at their store. Michelle, my salesperson, does not answer text messages after I paid my bill. Go to any other store to obtain your light fixtures. read more

I have been to this store before and it a great lighting store. this time I went in with a client, Im a decorator, and I could not get the saleswomen to leave us alone. She kept pointing out lights and asking us to come a look in a catalogue. We kept telling her we just wanted to look around first. Finally my client said she wanted to leave. Go to touch and feel the products but don't buy here. They internet price match, so buy on the internet and their customer service is HORRIBLE. And forget about trying to purchase replacement parts; a total exercise in futility. We even dealt with the owner, who played games with us not knowing we knew she was the owner. I am to say the least terribly disappointed in this store. I was happy with the sales and service as I picked up my lighting package for my new build with my cost allowance. So happy that I additionally purchased my first of a potential 6 ceiling fans for the house. Months went by as the house was being built. I received an email that my fan had arrived. When we tried to pick up the fan after our closing on the house, we were told they couldn't find it. Days later the fan appeared and we picked it up. As my husband unpackaged the fan he remarked that it looked like it was a used floor model. It was dusty and the fan blades were scuffed and dinged. Also, we had ordered additional white blades for the fan as it came with dark wood tone ones. We never received the original blades as the white ones, that cost extra, were packaged in the box. Despite our trepidations, he installed the fan and it looked great, you couldn't see the imperfections from the ground level but now another problem, it had a terrible hum to it. We tried, but we were not able to run it while we slept, it was just too loud. I checked the receipt to contact the company to find out if something could be done to rectify the situation and found that someone had written on the top of the receipt "Staging" "Hot!" "Take down". I was told it was probably an installation problem and I would have to pay for the service call. Really? I guess it doesn't need to be said that my other fans will not be purchased from here. I have gotten the run around from them and they have provided me with a horrible product to go with the service. I will also be contacting ICI Homes to tell them of my experience since they sent me to the company in the first place. read more

I hate writing a poor review based on service when the sale process was good however. The installation made us wait all day waiting for a one hour window call. I called late in the afternoon and was given a time frame. I had to cancel at 6 pm. I call to reschedule i was not pleased at having waste another day waiting and was told they dont provide times. Tyler the installer said he worked 14-16 hours a day a didnt need to listen to rich assholes. This asshole is going to not recommend this business again. read more

In October of this year,we visited Wholesale lighting to shop for new lighting for our kitchen! We visited this store because of the good reviews they received. We felt we would receive better service than going to Home Depot or Lowes. We became very disappointed in the service we received. Yes, the salesman Josh Stonaker came to our house and gave us a quote for the kitchen ceiling and underneath the cabinets. After receiving the quote, we decided we could not afford all the work. We decided to go with just the ceiling lighting. We were very disappointed in the way the lighting turned out. Both my husband and I called Josh at different times and we never heard from him! Also we took pictures and visited the store and the sales lady that waited on us said herself that the job looked unfinished. She stated she would send the information to the home office. A lady from the home office called us and we were told that because the material was special ordered we would not be able to get any of our money back. My husband and his son spent one day working on the lighting and with a lot of creativity they were able to fix the area to the point that we were happy . We did receive a call from customer service to see how things were going and she stated that she would see if she could get either a store credit or a refund. I said no to the store credit because we would never go to the store again. But we never heard from her. So, there have been 4 people that have been involved and know that we are not happy. Josh Stonaker, the salesman, the lady from the home office , the second salesperson and the lady from customer service. We have never heard from anyone yet to see if there is anything they could to do to change the outcome.
