Right off the bat, I can tell that all the ingredients were very fresh and that it was definitely cooked perfectly in their pizza oven. Nonetheless, the sauce and cheese was delicious, leading me to effortlessly eat the entire pizza all by myself. For about 27 NZ dollars for the pizza and can of soda, which translates to about $15 USD for me, that is a very reasonable price and I would definitely come back for an additional visit!

With over 150 national and international beers, this beer bar hosts the largest range of beer in NZ. Behind the row of taps, is "Malty's Wall" with fridges keeping beers cooled at the right temp, ready for tasting and consuming. Many of NZ beers come from small boutique breweries, which make them harder to find outside of NZ, but Malthouse hosts a great focus on local breweries. The menu is a beer bible. I've never seen one like it. It's leather bound and very extensive, filled with beer choices and all the information to accompany such a vast beer bar. Seating is cozy with both indoor and outdoor options. High tables, bar seats, lounge tables as well. With food options, they've got the perfect munchies which compliment beer. The sourdough bread was soft on the inside with a light crunch on the outside. The poached eggs broke into a delicious orangey, yolky goodness all over the buttery bread. Delicious and just what I needed to start my day of exploration around Wellington!
