I decided to come here on a whim after looking for a place selling banh mi open later than 7PM in Duluth. The inside is kind of like a cafe with some tables and chairs. Service was efficient. We got the Thịt Heo Nướng and Banana Coffee. The Banana Coffee tasted really good on the first sip. You can definitely taste the banana. Toward the end of the drink, it started tasting more like a strong coffee. I tried a small bite of the Thịt Heo Nướng and it tasted good even though I am not a fan of char grilled pork as the meat in my banh mi. My boyfriend was a big fan of the banh mi, though. I love this place for the food, prices, menu items, and vibe~ You can order from their classic menu item banh mis or build your own! I've never seen any other place where you can BYOB (build your own banh mi). They're the same price around $7. I always get the grilled pork and it is juicy and flavorful and packed with lots of pickled veggies, cilantro and jalapeño, and the bread was nice and light, slightly toasted, which I prefer. Some other places the bread is too hard and hurts the roof of my mouth or is too flaky, making a mess to eat. Not the case here! Cute, casual little place you can come for a quick lunch or to hang out and catch up with friends. They have a selection of games to do so! Absolutely love the egg coffee here! I was skeptical to try it out at first but I was completely blown away. Very delicious and super creamy. It taste exactly like the one from Vietnam. I think I had 2 cups that morning. Moreover, their banh mi is pretty good...very flavorful and had a nice crisp to it. But ultimately, the highlight would be the wonton soup. It has really good reviews but didn't pan out for us today on the food. We had two banh mis an order of fresh rolls and three coffees to get a good sample. The banh mis were just a bit bland compared to any others in the area with very little seasoning or pickled flavor to anything. The chicken in the fresh rolls was very salty. Overall, it just didn't come together and nothing was incredible. The coffees were out of this world and I can see myself getting more every time I hit Duluth. I'd get the bulgogi banh mi again next time. All the same fillings as above 5/5 I initially thought it was on the saltier side but realized I added sriracha and hoisin (at home) on the side as a dip. Ordered sugar drink and mango tea. There were 2 people in there people me. It took 25 minutes to get my drinks and it took the couple 15 minutes to get theirs. I asked them how much longer would it be for my two drinks and he said curtly, "couple more minutes" . "Is that another ( or another 15?" "Sorry there were two coffees before you." Was the apparently the reason for why it took two people 15 minutes for two coffees. Maybe if he took out his AirPods, might help speed things up a little.
