Wow - who would have thought there was such a great little gem here in Haverhill! We found this place on yelp and thought we would come in here for a quick bite and an ice coffee. Walking in here - you can see they have a crazy selection of different types of mixed coffee drinks. It's almost like ordering a dessert on it's own! BF ordered an Almond Joi - chocolate, almond, coconut, espresso, milk - which he really liked! We had also shared a Guaca-licious Panini - which was amazing! It was filled with Oven roasted turkey, swiss cheese, bacon, tomatoes, guacamole, lettuce and mayonnaise. And it was fresh off the grill - which made it even better! read more

Quick stop for breakfast. Great options for beverages and food, though I wish they served full breakfasts along with their sandwiches. Then again, for a small cafe with as many different choices as they have, including a "make your own sandwich", I shouldn't complain. I got the Rock'n Roland and was very happy with it. Lots of spinach and huge slices of tomato. It looked like the egg was a pre-made patty, but did not appear processed at all; it seemed more like it was made in house in bulk, stored, and reheated (steamed?) as needed. Tasted fine, needed salt. The iced chai latte was sweeter than I expected, but then again, I don't get chai lattes often. All in all, really good. I'm looking forward to trying the Bohemian Wrapsody (standard breakfast plate in a wrap? With potatoes?!) and the pumpkin or gingerbread lattes once it gets cooler. read more

This place is really good. I love their coffee and pastries. The owner or manager has always been great when we have delivery issues. I think they use Grubhub or doordash or something like that for delivery, and our order is never right. We had the owner show up with the remainder of our order, plus more pastries, apologizing about it. Great group of people over there but I definitely recommend going to pick it up yourself! read more

Found this place within days of moving to downtown Haverhill and so glad I did! When we first walked in we asked "What's good?" They replied "everything" which is typically a throw away answer. Not in this case! Everything we've tried we've loved. It's actually hard to move around the menu because you want that thing you loved the last time but you also want to discover the next best thing! I've been here multiple times but have been hesitant to review because I've been going to both here and Battle Grounds. After much consideration, I am sticking with Wicked Big. Both places have great coffee, food, and both have different but nice atmospheres. But what sticks Wicked Big out to me is their service. They're faster, and much more hospitable. The people I saw today were very kind and made me feel much more welcome than Battle Grounds. Not to mention, their prices are lower, but that wasn't my biggest concern. A large cold brew at BG is the same as WB's medium and $2 more expensive. Overall I would much rather go to a shop and get work done at a place that makes me feel like a guest, rather than a customer. That's why I'm going back here. read more

Wicked Big has a very big menu, and the place is always packed. One of the best chocolate croissants I've ever had! Not too much chocolate, and was nice and flakey. I also ordered a caprese panini and orange juice. The juice tastes fresh squeezed, and the panini was good. Only issue I had is with the way they assemble the panini. I don't know if they dry off the tomato and mozzarella before, but the breaks can become soggy pretty quickly. Overall, a great place for anyone in the area to try! read more

Wish I could come by here more often. Used to drop in mornings when my train was running late. (It's les sthan 5 minutes walk from the Haverhill station). After five months of working in the Andover area, I've found my coffee home. Perfect cappuccino, incredible menu, and amazing service!

Honestly, I don't see what the big fuss is about this place. Personally, I think the coffee here tastes like garbage, the only reason I let my friends convince me to come here with them is for their food. Its actually pretty tastey. And the staff is pretty friendly, which is the only reason that keeps me from not leaving a two star. The place is cute, but they definitely could invest in some better air conditioning for the summer time. And I also do like that they let local artists sell their paintings in the shop. So if you want a good tasting coffee, honestly go anywhere else but here. read more

It's a simple indy coffee and sandwich shop, nothing more. The ratings for food and coffee here are really overdone. The service is terrible and the workers rude and snobby. We came to hang up a poster for a performance we were putting on to fund raise for The Trevor Project, a youth anti-bullying organization and after they hung it themselves in front of us, it was gone the next day when we passed by. My inquiry was met with nobody knowing what had happened to the poster, (it was clearly removed by staff as it was hung in a place only staff can access) and my request for the owner to return a phone call to me went unanswered so I have never returned out of principle, beyond the attitudes and awful parking. read more

Two words - SO ADORABLE. This is not to say that this place is girly or that guys shouldn't come here. In fact, if you are that cute, tall, 20-something guy wearing khakis and a beanie that kept glancing at me over your Bohemian Rhapsody (egg, cheddar cheese, red potatoes, roasted red peppers, and red onions in a Habeneiro-salsa wrap) while pretending to be pre-occupied with something on your phone today, please say hi to me next time. I'll be here every Saturday morning studying. If you are not the aforementioned guy, then that is quite unfortunate for me. The good news is that you can still come here and enjoy the expansive breakfast/sandwich/coffee menu, cheap prices, artsy atmosphere, and very friendly staff. They have limited hours. Ask for the wifi password. UPDATE ADDITIONS: Just tried their Thanksgiving sandwich yesterday, which is available only during the month of November. Buffalo style turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, lettuce, and a touch of mayo all wrapped in a spinach tortilla then briefly pressed in the panini press. It was just as delicious as that sounds. Hope I make it there one more time before the end of the month! In fact, it seems like all of their sandwiches quickly go into the panini press, making for a nice crunchy texture on the outside. Also, all sandwiches come with a small bag of Lay's potato chips. The owner said that he is considering extending their hours until 3 or 4 on Saturday afternoons, which would be great since there are patrons coming in at or after 2pm when they are supposed to be closing anyway. He's also considering doing one or two late nights a week. Fingers crossed! Also, no additional sightings of the cute guy in my previous review. Will keep you posted. read more

My fiance and I love the IDEA of this coffee place. We love "vibe", location, and potential atmosphere. The owner seems friendly, and remembers us when we go in. But, each time we have visited, the menu is inconsistent. For example, we love the breakfast panini. It is listed as peanut butter, bananas, granola, & honey. All grilled on cinnamon swirl bread. The first time we had this, it is exactly what we got.... and it was delicious. But every other time, the bananas were either green/hard/not ripe, or they were out of bananas, the bread was not cinnamon swirl, or they forgot the honey. Also the facility is in need of a deep clean. It's dusty, there are dead flies in the windows, and the bathroom could use some cleaning. One other observation we made was that although the staff was friendly, they tended to talk about some customers after they left. (Its a small town). We felt a little uncomfortable about this... Pros: They have dairy substitution options (such as almond milk). Prices are very fair. Staff is friendly. Menu names are clever. Free WiFi. Outdoor seating during warm months. Potential for a 5 Star review with just some simple tweaks. read more

Love that we have place like this in Hell town, great little atmosphere, decent cup of coffee. Good sandwich selection as well. Can get a bit warm in the summer and their iced coffee could be a bit stronger for my taste, but just simply order an extra shot in it and you'll be all good. Fantastic!! They have delicious, creative drinks and sandwiches. The vibe inside is very laid back and not to "hipster snob" but more friendly with a slight hipster vibe. I've gone with my husband and another time with my mom and sister and everyone was comfortable and treated nicely. Having recently moved to Haverhill this is one of the few places that I don't feel out of place because I'm not a local. *** This is a review of this place based on my last two experiences** I used to love this place...I really did. It is going down hill and fast. The staff is preoccupied with each other more than serving the customers. I ordered and then proceeded to wait 20 min then finally went up to the front and asked where my food was. No concern at all a simple "oh the slip must have not printed"- I was not happy. I had to wait an additional 10 min for my food to be prepared. This was the third and final time, I will be thinking twice before returning. The owners should re-evaluate their staff. I absolutely love this place. I am so happy I live down the block. The coffee is great the food is great. The little joint has the decor of a eclectic little art shop. I love to come early Sunday morning with a good book order my coffee and breakfast and sit and read it is the highlight to my week. This place is great. read more

I have been to this place exactly once....Well, twice, but that's a story. Anyway, a couple weeks ago, went to the local ValleyWorks/uneployment office with a friend. They were out to lunch, so we had an hour to kill. I asked if he wanted a coffee, we walked the minute-and-a-half over there. We ordered, and it came out to $8.14 or so. I gave him my card, and it wouldn't go through, apparently.....Banks, eh? Anyway, he says it's fine, might be their system, I can pay later. I sit down there (the had AC going), and check my bank. I have $6 there. Damnit....I say thanks to the guy behind the counter, and we walk out. I feel no shame, since I plan to pay it, just when I had money. Forward to last Wednesday, after the Labor Day weekend. I have some money, and some things to do in downtown. So I make a stop at the ATM, and pull out some money. Do my stuff, and walk back here. I wait to get to the register, they were pretty busy, and it was only ~11AM. I tell him I had been there a couple weeks ago, and couldn't pay, but I am back now to do so. His look of surprise and shock was nearly imperceptible to the layman, but I caught it. We went through the motions of what I ordered, and finally he just punched in two lattes, which I gladly paid. Gave me back my change, and I just dumped it (sans $10) into their tip jar. A business that will let you slide on paying, especially a small/independent business, will be frequented quite a bit by me. I like that. He kept thanking me nearly the whole time I was standing at the register, which was nice, I thought. I imagine the story he told the other workers was pretty awesome, too! read more

my dear Wicked Big Cafe, I'm in love! I love the selections of coffee and delicious Lattes. I love when I order skim milk in my latte you actually make it correctly. I love your selections of crazy breakfast sandwiches (avocado, egg spinach and feta on bread- and it tastes amazing!) and regular sandwiches. Your seating selection is divine- especially if I can manage to snag the cozy chairs by the window. Of course I'll sit there for at least an hour- and you are not rushing me out. I wish your weekend hours were later, so I could spend all day wrapped up in a good book or stopping by late afternoon for a fantastic cup of joe, but I'll take what I can get. read more

One of the best cafes I've ever been to. The cafe is more spacious than most, the service is phenomenal, and the food is delicious! I'm not a big coffee drinker (so I'm not the best coffee critic) but the pumpkin latte was not too strong and not too sweet. A small cup of it was the perfect amount for me. I also ordered the chicken salad wrap--dried cranberries, Cajun pecans, lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken salad. It was fresh, substantial, and tasty! I came to the cafe around 11 AM on a Friday, and it was not crowded at all! Whether you want to stay and chat with a friend over some great lunch selections, or do a quick drop-in during your lunch break, I recommend this cafe to the fullest. read more
