He was lead counsel and Terrence O'Connor, ESQ in Vail, Colorado was co-counsel. FAHRENHOLTZ, had never tried a Federal case before so as it's called in the legal profession they both were in uncharted waters as they literally had never stepped in a Federal Courtroom before and I am trusting them with my LIFE!!! I paid them $ 45,000.00 and they got me convicted and I was sentenced to 21 months incarceration. My Appellate attorney was a Federal Public Defender Jill Wichlens, was much better than these men!! I myself a jailhouse lawyer found a case that was analogous with one of my two counts and gave it to her and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed it for duplicity. She plugged me for that! Thanks Jill!! FAHRENHOLTZ, allowed the Court to make so many egregious errors and didn't win any argument!! Lastly, I would never recommend James FAHRENHOLTZ or Terrence O'Connor!!! I had the unfortunate circumstance of dealing with a severely overzealous Aurora police officer, something I'm sure many have sadly had to deal with (nationwide), and ended up being given a completely false charge simply because I got in an argument with this officer. He of course didn't charge me with "arguing with a police officer" so he came up with a BS one instead. That put me, a medically retired veteran of the USAF with PTSD, through exuberantly high levels of stress for no good reason, and the charge he gave me (via summons) carried a possible penalty of a year in jail! I had lost all hope when dealing with the Aurora "justice" system that night... until I had the fortunate experience of finding this law office. Mr. Joseph Galera, Esq., is the lawyer recommended by the law office to handle my case, and within a few hours of taking him on as my attorney, I already felt I had made the right choice. He is a completely "all-business" type of person (while not being someone who isn't listening to your concerns though too) who makes sure he's always focusing on the most important aspects of his cases. He ensured to get every single document/file he could about my case from the city, before the City Attorney even had a chance to request some of the same material. But, best of all: he shattered the absolutely preposterous case put forward by the City of Aurora... and with *only* cross-examination (along with opening and closing statements) he was able to shred the entirety of every single accusation made against me by the prosecution while the jury watched. It was seriously one of the best ways I've ever seen a lawyer handle their client/case, and I myself used to be an Officer of the Court in Louisiana for 3 years (as a CASA/Guardian ad Litem)... so that statement does not come from inexperience. Mr. Galera is more than worth the cost of his services. I simply could not recommend anyone use any other defense attorney, if they have to deal with the court systems in the Denver-Aurora metro.
