Kyle met us when we arrived and was very nice and friendly. The parking area they had for us was a really pretty feild next to the store which was mostly flat and large, making for easy in & out for us pulling a 29' tt. There was a large deck behind the store with chairs and we had some nice downtime after driving all day, just sitting and listening to the sounds of the country. We had a very restful night. The next morning we had breakfast at Carters General Store & Deli which was really good, they had some of the smoothest great-tasting coffee! Best of all, owner Kyle sat and chatted with us and then other locals came and sat at the family-style table and joined us. It was such a comfortable, pleasant experience! The last time I was in there I was just getting three tires replaced. I have a warranty on them, but I am forced to get them replaced at the dealership. So, I went in to get three tires replaced. three hours later Christy comes out and says, "It's going to be $2,500 to do the work on your car." Then she shows me that they did a multi-point inspection (by the way my car passed their inspection). I said, "Who told you to do all this work? All she said was, "Well, we will have to schedule you to come in to get the work done." I then said I came in for tires. They are warrantied. Do the tires and I will have my mechanic look at the rest of the car. This is when she says, "Oh well then we won't warranty your tires." She also, while telling me all the things supposedly wrong with my car, showed me pictures of the air filters. They had leaves and were pretty dirty. The funny thing is I had just done a service on the car and replaced all the filters including the air filters. I have taken my car to my mechanic, and he said there is nothing wrong with the car except for the three tires that still need replacing!!! Fire Christy before she gets you sued! And please let the door hit her on the way out!

Today I was visiting Lynchburg, where I grew up, and was headed to the Blue Ridge Parkway. When I…read moregot gas, my Jeep did not start. I had thought my battery may be showing signs of age, and had Jeep check it last week, they said it was fine. So I ended up going to Harris Tire Company on on Forest Road. They were very freindly and assured me that they would help me, if they could. This Jeep has the stop/start feature, and required a special piece of equipment. They did have that and were able to change it out with no ill affect to the CPU in the Jeep. This took less than 30 minutes and we were off. Was so nice to have the battery fully operational, and know that I would not get stranded in the mountains. Thank you to Kyle and the whole crew. You all came highly recommended and, and I would add to that recommendation.
