Beef Chow Foon. Flavor was nice
    Stacy L.

My 1st time ordering here. I ordered beef chow food and a small wonton soup. Let me start with the soup. It was not good. Absolutely no flavor at all. Slight taste of chicken broth. No pieces of vegetables or pork slivers like other restaurants typically add to theirs. My beef chow foon was flavorful and good though. I'm a big soup person so I probably won't order from here again just for that reason.

We dined here with another couple on an early Sunday evening. There was only one other family in the restaurant so it was sort of like we had our own private dining room. We ordered some Egg Rolls and a Sushi Roll for the table. The egg rolls were probably my least favorite part of the meal as they seemed to be mostly cabbage, but they were very crispy and the sauces (mustard and sweet/sour) made them more interesting. The Sushi was very good and fresh tasting. I ordered the Szechuan Shrimp and it was the absolute BEST version of this dish I've ever had. Shrimp were flavorful, fresh and spicy. The vegetables in the dish were crispy and nicely dressed in the sauce that came with the dish. My daughter had the Thai Chicken dish and I tasted a bite and thought it was outstanding as well. Love the Penang Curry sauce that it came with and would order that dish if I couldn't have had the Shrimp dish. I tasted my Son-in-laws General Gau's chicken and thought it was delicious as well. My wife ordered the Mongolian Beef dish and I tried it, but did not care for it, I believe it had an overly pepper flavor to it. The beef however, was very tender and of good quality. I feel lucky to have found this restaurant so close to where we are staying in Norwood. This is a fantastic Chinese restaurant that we will undoubtedly be our "go to place" until we find something better.

Foul tasting water with a spritz of sanitizer

Well... here we go. I rarely leave a 1 star. Stoped in on my way to Home Depot in Walpole . Was either Burger King or Chinese . I stop in a Sunday at 2:45. No one in there . I order the L35 lunch special , Pan fried raviolis , and water. Here we go.... Water with ice had real off taste like bad ice or some glass cleaner solution mixed in... That was my hint to leave... failed taking the hint. Pan fried raviolis show...,all real doughy and I have eaten these a thousand times elsewhere. Very little meat inside and tasted dry , no flavor. I'm thinking these nasties were in a deep freeze in freezer for first two years of their existence... 9.95 wasted on this. Now I have flashbacks of the Chef Gordon Ramsay show where he is trying to figure out why some guy's meatballs tasted rancid and go in the restaurant's freezer and finds stuff frozen in there years old I restaurant is feeding people . I couldn't eat all these these and felt guilty as people in Africa or India starving and I won't eat the nasty tasteless frozen doughy things put in front of me. Now, the L35 shows up to finish off my poor gurgling stomach that's wondering why I'm putting it through this torment. The L35 was crab Rangoon, chicken wings, beef teriyaki, rice. Only crab on this dish the virtual snell of one at the beach... these nasty tasted bland and no crab flavors what so ever... even the front liking tasted frozen ... more deep frozen prep steps. Beef teriyaki was probably decent 2-3 days before ... was reheated and not fresh cooked. Tasted bland. Rice was cold, reheated and not freshly made... some onions pieces had me doing forensics on them to see if onion or rodent debris.... I concluded after review they were onions turned black during the reheating cooking processes. Now chicken wings were hot and definitely came out from frier. These were ok, but the little thimble size condiment tray of duck sauce didn't allow much dipping in duck sauce. You would think the price of duck sauce must be same as gold dust the way they serve. Wings ok, bland tasting again , not marinated in soy, ginger, or teriyaki before cooking. Total bill was 23.43 for awful lunch. While I was force swallowing the L35, I saw the cook I think was the cook go out front door for a smoke... I felt like telling him that he needs Chef Ramsey to come in to fix him or take some cooking classes at the Johnson of Wales for Chinese cuisine.. I will apologize to the Gods tonight during prayers that I wasted good money and left half uneaten. Proceeded to Hone Depot and felt poorly afternoon and rushed home to sleep it off and had most wonderful experience when this food left my body during its exorcism. I regret my decision to not go to Burger King for a chicken or fish sandwich or Lamberts for a salad. I owe my stomach my deepest apology and will respect it going further in our dining experiences. I do not anticipate eating here again and will have bad thoughts just driving past the place in future days. As my religion dictates... Do not waste food Sorry for I have sinned

Beef lo main, tempera and sesame chicken, chicken fingers

My boyfriend and I just ordered from here for the first time last night and we loved the food. The portions were generous, and food was tasty for a reasonable price.

Unknown item found in my hot sour soup

I hate to do this since I really like Wild Blossom. We ordered last night through Postmates, and not only was this random item found in my soup, but they also only gave a small miso instead of the large miso that was ordered. I will probably give them another try, but since there were 2 things wrong I couldn't leave it alone... we called them, but they said that the postmates guy ordered it himself... so it must be on him. Update: We ordered again from here and the food was soooo much better than the last time! Super crispy sesame chix and everything was so on point. Also super fast delivery!!

I ordered salmon with rice. It came with a rusty nail. Terrible food and customer service.
    Todd W.

I had a HORRIBLE experience at Wild Blossom. My wife and I ordered two entrees. I wasn't expecting my salmon with brown rice to include a NAIL. When I called the restaurant to explain, I was first placed on hold while another order was taken and then accused of lying. I don't understand why the nail was in my dish in the first place, but also don't understand why the owner was unwilling to hear my story and accuse me of lying. There is absolutely no excuse for the horrible customer service. The manager wanted to see the nail, so I'll include a picture of it for him and all to see. I would highly recommend finding another restaurant in the Westwood/Dedham/Norwood area that would appreciate your business. However, if you like to eat rusty nails and don't care about customer service, Wild Blossom is your place. By the way, I don't normally do Yelp reviews but thought it was worthwhile to share this experience.

I ordered a lunch combo and the small order of bone in ribs. The hot and sour soup bowl small but packed full of ingredients... very good . The lunch special of chicken fingers, wings, fried rice , egg roll. The chicken fingers and wings were fresh fried and excellent wings. Fried rice reheated, egg roll reheated. Egg roll would have been great fresh fried as ingredients were very good. The small order of ribs were meaty and would have been excellent if fresh cooked rather than a reheat and cold ...they were still very good cold as meaty ... needed more sauce, char as when fresh cooked under broiler . It seems improving food wise and can be good one day and just ok the next. I'll visit again as next to my Benjamin Moore excellent paint store and BJs wholesale

Gotta downgrade them from my previous 4 stars to 3-- and 3 might be generous. Some highs and lows…read moreover my last 3 visits, but way too many lows to ignore, even as a former fan and defender. -- Spareribs: Until the past year or so, I regarded Tahiti's spareribs as top 5, maybe even top 3. No longer. The last 3 attempts have all been reheats and all looking like a scattering of random bones from different racks, with charring the only strongpoint. Some were close to cold and some were tough to chew. On average: Average, but formerly elite. -- Egg Roll: A rollercoaster of quality on my recent visits. Narrower than before, but reliably celery-filled and crunchy inside. The shell is sometimes crispy, sometimes bendy, as if sitting around a while. Interiors sometimes moist, sometimes very dry. Flavor has been above average every time. Overall, above average to well above average, though formerly near-elite. -- Lobster Sauce: I've liked the relatively new recipe that's less like motor oil and more on the light side with whole black beans in the mix. But the most recent one was bland and watery. Still good enough to be average, but formerly near-elite. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken: Fingers merely flirting with crisp and typically low meat-to-batter ratio. Unusual topping of onions, peppers, pineapples, and no cherries, with a sauce that seemed an exact compromise/blend of the typical golden and red styles. Sour along with the sweet, but subtle. A little above average. -- Pork Fried Rice: Among my 3 recent visits, solid once, disappointing twice. Fresh once and long in the tooth twice, and varying levels of bland all 3 times. Minimal pork nuggetry. Typically lukewarm. Overall, average, but formerly near-elite. -- Orange Beef: Nice mix of sweet and tart (caramelly along with the orange), good crunch, and good quantity and thickness of the tender beef slices. Very solid dish, and it even rivals Bernard's version, which is saying a lot. A rare bright spot among recent visits. Seems like this place is mailing it in lately, as if they're knowingly cutting corners and sacrificing repeat dining business because their real money comes from the bar. It's a shame, because I used to be a big fan.

Easy legal parking in the plaza next door. Numerous (32) lunch combos, more numerous (40) dinner combos, and a deep menu in general for this type of concept. No atmosphere to speak of and a 1-man show handling it all. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a dinner combo): Ran me $15 for a Sunday lunch, $5 over the lunch combo equivalent, because it was Sunday and they don't do lunch combos on Sunday. For that $15 I got 7 large chicken fingers, a fire engine red sauce, 2 pineapple chunks, 1 maraschino cherry, and fried rice (appetizers are extra). Typically low meat-to-batter ratio. Strong crunch. Sauce was extraordinarily sweet without much sour, and in short supply if you wanted full dip-ability. Average to a bit below. -- Pork Fried Rice (with the dinner combo): There was a lot of it. Dark brown, very dry, and a Rice-a-Roni feel. Little pieces of dry pork. More flavor than Ray's around the corner, but not as fresh. More quantity than quality. Below average. -- Boneless Spareribs (an add-on to the combo): For $5.25 you get what looks like a small boat, but it's stacked high and winds up being more meat than you get at Ray's around the corner for less than even their "Appy Hour" price. As for quality, not as good, but not too far off. Some pieces dry, but some pieces had the perfect combination of fatty richness, char, and generous glaze. If all the pieces were like that, near-elite. As constituted, above average. -- Egg Roll (à la carte): Nice to have a single egg roll option ($3.75) on the appetizers list. Narrow piping hot vessel, good crunch outside, crunchy vegetation inside too, unusual seasoning, light bits of pork, and what seemed to be an even mix of cabbage and celery. Average, even with a fairly positive description, due to an odd flavor I can't place. Hard to get a handle on value. The combo was pricey considering what it did and didn't include, but the appetizer add-ons were more approachable. I was fearing getting stuck with only orange packets for duck sauce, but fortunately they had the real thing. Looking at the menu again, it's seems other combos give you more apps and leave out the pork fried rice (the weakest link), so that may be the way to go. We'll see.
