    The bar and food

The service was awesome! Very attentive and they go the extra mile!!! For example they bring you a pitcher of beer and bring new cold glasses each time!!! They brought a styrofoam cup for you soda outside to keep it cooler. The food was great!!! Atmosphere is good!

A bit pricey but great food, customer service and atmosphere! We split this burger and some taters & onions got one drink and two beers... Our bill was $50! Seemed like a lot to us but it was very good just maybe not $50 good lol we did enjoy the place and the atmosphere. We will be back again I'm sure. We got the cracker burger and added blue cheese crumbles... ah-mazing! Definitely recommend trying them out but just know it will be a little bit pricey.

I'm updating what is easily one of the Top 5 Restaurants in Highlands County for my last review of the year! Arriving- They are on US Route 27 North and there is a turning lane for South bounders so getting there is a snap. The parking lot is huge for the size of the restaurant so no problems there. Pro Tip- Breakfast hours are only Fri-Sun and for that they open at 7 am. Ambience- Lots of folks agonize over whether it's a bar or a restaurant. The bar itself only seats about eight. The lunch and dinner menus are extensive. The décor is very casual Florida kitsch. My vote is it is a restaurant with a significant bar scene on Friday and Saturday night and Sunday afternoon football. Pro Tip- The bar chairs have backs and look very nice, but they are unbelievably slippery to sit on! Beware! Adult Libations- Reasonably priced full bar. About twelve rotating taps. See my picture. A decent selection of bottled beer. Pro Tip- On Fri-Sun, one of the only places in Highlands County you can find a full bar starting at 7am! Customer Service- I've never had a problem. These are nice folks doing a great job. Food- On this visit I was here for breakfast. The menu is less extensive than the other meals of the day. Most of the basics are there but a glaring omission is omelets! It's clear, looking at the open kitchen, they could offer them if they wanted to! I went with a standard, scrambled, sausage patty, taters & onions, and toast. I've posted the menu so you can see all the prices. It was out in good time and 5-star excellent! The Taters & Onions are a signature side for them and off-the-charts crazy good! They are also available at lunch & dinner. I highly recommend skipping fries and going with these bad boys! So, you're looking for a super casual well-priced meal and an adult libation or two or three. In Highlands County, you can't go wrong here. Probably 4.5 stars!

This has become our go to place restaurant when we are in Sebring. Service is always great and food is served hot and fresh. If you aren't in the mood to try their frog legs, their burgers are great! The frog legs from here are my son's favorite. We ordered the gator tail as appetizer and we all liked them. Good selection of beer. So if you ever visit Sebring or live there, this is a must!

This food was really good. My husband and I went with our daughter and her boyfriend. The boyfriend had the burger which he said was the best burger he has ever had in his life. It was huge, so forewarning go with a huge appetite, because all the portions are enormous. My daughter had loaded fries along with one of their specialty chicken wraps. She loved it. My other daughter had a house special as well as finished it....which she rarely does! My husband had a beer brought sandwich with fries smothered and sauerkraut. Which he completely devoured. The fish sandwich here is Swai which was amazing because I love Swai. But it was huge. It took half a platter on its own. the bread was toasted. Nice and crunchy was served with fresh cut, red onions, tomato, and sliced pickles. Just delicious I would highly recommend any of the food there.

It's a quirky little place that has a one-alley drive-through and a walk-up window and no dine-in. Why did I say alley? Because it looks like a one-alley oil lube place. So much so that to this day, folks drive through and ask how much is an oil change even though all they have is great food and a few sundries! I think it's partly related to their name! So how did they reinvent themselves? Up until about two years ago they were famous for selling case beer. You would pop your trunk and a guy would drop the case right in. You never had to get out of your car. For some reason they quit selling beer to focus on other things. Up until about a year ago they had great food but no fries and this was a major complaint they had to deal with. They fixed this and now they have huge portions of wonderful, glorious skin-on fries! So now you come here for fantastic breakfast sandwiches, great burgers, pulled pork sandwiches and fries. Of course, drinks. On my last visit I ordered a cheeseburger and fries @ $8.87. I'm embarrassed by the picture as there was a huge, juicy, hand-formed burger under there! There were even more fries, but I scoffed some down on the way home! So, you can blow through here for breakfast or lunch and have a great sandwich and patronize a local business at the same time! It doesn't get much better than that!

The inside dining room is wonderful! A true old-fashioned tropical feel. Our waiter was a little odd, but competent. I wasn't real hungry, so I just had a shrimp cocktail. My friend had the duck. The shrimp cocktail was delicious, the cocktail sauce, a bit spicy. Had too much pepper for me. When I mentioned that to the waiter, he told me it was not spicy. He said it only had pepper in it. I said well after I mixed it was a little better. I don't think a waiter should contradict what a customer says if there is a problem; he should help to alleviate the issue. Obviously, somebody didn't stir the cocktail sauce well, still the pepper was a bit heavy. What's troubling is I specifically asked the waiter if the sauce would be hot , as in spicy. My friend said the duck was very nice. As I recall, they served some complementary bread and it was good. I hope to go back to Palm Heights, where this restaurant is located, and I am sure to go back to Tillies.

We were a larger party of 11 and got a prime spot on the beach literally 10 feet from the softly lapping sea water. A large portion of the food pictures on Yelp are mine. I am eminently qualified to review this place so here you go! Arriving- On Main St., 30 seconds off US Route 27. The road is divided so you'll need a quick U-turn. You'll see a well-maintained large parking lot for your convenience. Visiting- This is a breakfast and lunch place but note that dinner type meals are available for lunch. This is Snowbird country and when they're in town I'd stay away from the late Sunday morning church rush. Trust me! Ambience- Florida kitsch and 50s-60s cars décor. Booths along the walls and the usual two-tops and four-tops. No problems with cleanliness. Pro Tip- Decent free wi-fi with no password hassles. Quaffing Choices- No booze here just fountain drinks. Of course, plenty of hot and iced coffee and tea. Pro Tip- If you are dying for an adult libation, have a great lunch here and 30 seconds down the road is a great dive bar that will meet your needs. Just Yelp it! Customer Service- Expect hustling, friendly, competent servers. It's very rare for me to have a problem and any I have are almost always trivial and rectified immediately! Food- A large, laminated sheet with breakfast and lunch on each side. Maybe a tent card with specials. Home-style, American-style comfort food brought to you in often very large portions. There are no surprises here. You'll recognize everything and nothing is fancy, just good, stick to your rib's food! See my pictures for lots and lots of examples. I like one of their several omelets for breakfast. Club sandwiches are large and fresh. The chef's salad is enormous! The Philly cheesesteak is better than decent. I recently enjoyed a giant pork tenderloin sandwich. Burgers are great. They maintain their fryers well and know how to use them so expect solid fried food. Pricing- Assuming you have a drink other than water, most of your meals here are going to be under $15 pre-tip and you will be stuffed! Just a super place for a quick and casual breakfast or lunch. Atmosphere- This is a golf club restaurant that is open to the public. It's a big, bright, airy place with two large rooms and a beautiful bar. As many of the customers are just off the golf course, it's very casual. It has quite a few TVs for catching a game but it's definitely not a sports bar. Customer Service- Our server was a bit of a mix. She was very new, very nice, but lacking in knowledge. With a little time, I think she'll be great. Food- A combo of unique and classic American fare. You've got your burgers, chicken parm and alfredo dishes. There is a selection of flatbreads that are awesome, and a giant pretzel served with warm beer cheese that is incredible to share! I was on a mission. I had seen an 8 oz. skirt steak with chimichurri on the menu. It's not often I see chimichurri and I was drooling. I paired it with some fries and looked forward to an amazing lunch. It was out in good time. For a lunch plate, it was a very nice presentation. The nicely seared steak was coated with chimichurri with some additional served on the sided. The pickled onions were a nice touch. The fries were beautifully cooked. The steak was fantastic and a perfect medium rare. The chimichurri was bursting with flavor and the fries were exceptional! The meal was an easy five stars, but the service was a bit off.
