My husband and I used a branch of this business based in Atlanta, GA called "Wild Wedding Filmz" for our wedding on 10/26/24. Because this business page is associated with "Wild Wedding Filmz," I have decided to leave my review here, as people deserve to know just how wrong this company did us and how much joy they stripped from our once-in-a-lifetime wedding experience.
Several months before our big day, I saw an ad on Instagram for a wedding videography giveaway. The page looked legit, so I entered it. Days later, we recieved a call from Albert Feliciano, aka "Albey," that we won second place in the giveaway, which was 50% off of their most popular videography package. We decided to sign with them and were beyond excited for the experience. We paid about $1,300 in total.
When our big day came, the videographer, Matthew "JaCorey" Jones, was present. He was attentive and seemed to know what he was doing. In our contract, we paid for drone footage if the weather allowed. Although the weather was perfect, Corey did not bring a drone with him. We didn't mind at the time though because we were just pleased to know we would have regular footage. Other than him accidentally leaving a tripod at the venue after he departed, he was professional, which gave us peace of mind that we would get what we paid for. We received our sneak peak 10 second video for social media while on our honeymoon and fell in love with it. We were so excited to see what was to come.
A few months after our wedding, Corey reached out to us with our raw footage. It was everything that you would expect raw footage to be, so we didn't have any concerns. He said that we could expect to receive further edited video updates via email soon.
As time went on, I began to get concerned. We were at about the 6 month post wedding mark when I reached out to Corey again asking when we would receive our edited collection. He replied stating that we could expect to receive all deliverables by the Monday after Easter.
As that Monday past, I emailed Corey with no response. I then emailed him again... and again... and again. I emailed every email I could find that was associated with Wild Wedding Filmz. I also texted Corey and Albert multiple times with no response.
After about a month of being flat out ignored, we decided that it was time to threaten legal action, as we refused to pay $1,300 for only a 10 second video and a bunch of raw footage. I said that I either wanted our full edited video collection or a refund, or we would be taking them to small claims court. It wasn't until then that I received a response from Corey asking for my Venmo to send me a full refund. He also said that all deliverables would be sent soon. The next day, we received our full refund from Albert. We also received our 5 minute highlight video from Corey, but not our longer edited documentary. I asked him about this, but he hasn't responded to this day. A couple of months have now passed since our last communication with them, but that doesn't mean I have forgotten.
Although we did receive our money back, no amount of cash will ever replace the fact that we had a horrible experience that we have to remember every time that we think back on what was supposed to be our special day. Because we don't have our documentary, I am considering hiring a video editor to try and piece together the raw footage for us. However, unfortunately most of it doesn't have audio, so I am not sure how much we can even salvage at this point. We are still looking in to legal actions that we can take to try and make things right.
