I do NOT RECOMMEND this company. I had three type of hurricane shutters recently installed on my home in Cape Coral. These shutters were to replace the metal panels I had. I wanted shutters I could easily open and close by myself. Two months after installation hurricane Milton arrived. A couple of the Bahama shutter locking device did not line up with the bolt. Therefore, not all were bolted down with all the bolts they installed. 1 1/2 hours into the storm one accordion shutter opened. Luckily Milton winds for Cape Coral were half of what hurricane IANs were and lasted less than half the time of IAN. The next day I could not get two of my (5) new electric roll down shutters hand cranked up. I called Wild West a couple of days after the storm. The installation guys came out within a couple days to adjust. I asked them to tell the owner/manager that the lock pin on my accordion shutter's measures 3/8" and the whole they fit in is 1/2". I looked online and longer lock pins are available. I said to tell them I want longer lock pins for my 5 accordion shutters otherwise I will not feel safe during the next hurricane. A few days later I called their office number and ask what was the status of locks with longer pins for my accordion shutter? The lady said she will past my message on to the office. Today the installers showed up to tell me the owner said they could not get or have locks with longer pins. So the owner who states on their website that they personally go to all installations never came to my house. They also sent the installer to tell me instead of calling me himself. I have dealt with SO many contractors, window installers, gutter installers, shutter salesmen since hurricane Ian and the vast majority of them are absolute garbage humans, garbage companies looking to profit from our misfortune. I had a horrible company install most of my shutters (badly, won't pass inspection, but still took my money.) This company is different. I got 4 estimates before deciding on a company to install my last 3 remaining areas to be protected. I got wildly different estimates, and, to be honest, this was not the lowest price (it was close) but I chose WW because of the people. The salesman was new, and was transparent about what he didn't know instead of making up something to placate me (how refreshing!) The owner of the company came out to my house not only for the initial estimate, but for an additional "sales" appointment when I asked for confirmation that the job could be done, and that it could be done for the (relatively low) price agreed upon. I was skeptical and distrustful. They were understanding of that and took the time to walk me through every detail. These people showed up. On time. In SW Florida! Every time! Crazy, right??? Like, that just DOES NOT HAPPEN HERE! There was constant communication about the time frame and progress of the job and inspection process! I had a long conversation with the inspector in which he verified that this is one of the least likely companies in Lee County to have an issue, and one of the companies that he, himself, would use if he had to have shutters installed on his property...I don't know how much better a recommendation gets than that. I am really happy that I chose WW. I would use them again, and I would recommend them to a neighbor. read more

I called in 'Wild West Shutters' to service a 23 foot Rolldown aluminum storm shutter for my Lanai that would not move up or down with out pushing the control button up to 10 times. Four men arrived an hour and a half early. They proceeded to run around and spray Silicone lubricant on all my shutter's tracks, but had no explanation for why my long shutter keeps stop in in the middle of going up and going down. "You will just have to replace the motor" but they could not explain why it make funny clanking sounds, and would not take the cover off to take a look at what might be inside there. Everybody knows stories of mice, bees other small animals making nests inside the housings. I had to pay $160 for a little Silicone lubricant and a spare controller they could not make work!! If there is a God in Heaven I hope he will make them pay for their greed and incompetents'!! Quality zero, and value zero, do not call these people. read more

Wild West Security Shutters was highly recommended by a neighbor in the Sandoval community that had used them. We called for a quote and they promptly stopped by within 2 days with a more than competitive quote! It was good enough that we encouraged my Father-in-Law to get a quote too. Needless to say, we both agreed to the quote and put our deposit money down. They fabricated our shutters, screened in front porch, and completed the install within 2 weeks of the agreement! While we had some minor adjustments, they gladly did them, stressing our satisfaction was guaranteed. We are very happy with both our shutters and the screened in porch. Next we're going to re-screen our back porch and re-attach the aluminum members to the floor with stainless concrete anchors as ours were put in with cheaper screws that have rusted. Deciding to add shutters to our residence with a mix of fixed and roll-down shutters I contacted six contractors to interview and obtain prices. As a retired Certified General Contractor I had some understanding of the building code and shutters. Two of the sales persons representing shutter contractors insisted that I had to buy electric roll-down shutters because they are too heavy to operate manually and electric was the only specification they sold. Actually the code requires the shutters to operate manually if only that the storm may have caused a power outage. So they did not tell the truth. The other contractors were more expensive, wanted a large amount up front and would not commit to installing in the next 30-45 days. We are 90-days out but want the money now. Nope. A contact had mentioned Wild West Shutters and my first meeting with the owners - not a sales rep on commission - gave me the right company for the job. Every shutter was factory customized with current code compliance. I selected Wild West after interviewing 3 other storm shutter companies, and I'm glad I did. They installed 7 electric roll-downs, 2 manual roll down, and 4 accordians. I had them back a few months later to install another electric roll-down and to add a motor to one of the manuals. They also gave me a free plexiglass cover for a second story window, just so that every single opening of the house was protected and I could get the insurance discount. Eddie and Christine (the owners) are friendly, prompt, and dependable. They and their crew did everything as promised. They sincerely cared about my satisfaction. I've dealt with a lot of contractors having bought a fixer-upper since moving to the Cape. I wish they were all as easy to deal with as Wild West. read more
