We did wait on the wait list for over a year (we had gotten on the waitlist when i was early in my second trimester and had wanted to start at 8 months but a spot didn't open until he was 9 months which is pretty typical for daycare waitlists in the area). The building itself is very new and very elegant. We love the shared "playscape" area which is indoors and covered but is a large space for the kids to play when it's too cold to go outside. All of the teachers have always been friendly and approachable. Miss Ivy in particular knit hats for all her students with their initials as a holiday gift and our kid absolutely loved it. Ms Lily has been so kind and caring. The teachers post regular updates throughout the day about meals, diapers and photos/videos of what they're up to. Any minor incidents they also notify us through the app. The food they feed (breakfast, lunch and snack) them seems varied, tasty, and relatively healthy. The administrative staff have changed since we started but we haven't noticed any disruptions to usual activity. Similarly, our child's teachers has changed 3 times since starting in the toddler room but we haven't noticed many differences as everyone was wonderful and we love our current teachers. They have a curriculum and we've been impressed at all the activities they've done with them. The place has a parking lot shared with the church but designated spaces for pick up and drop off only. Finding a spot is not an issue though it can get busy at peak hours. If you are coming from Yosemite St, there are always a lot of cars and trucks parked along the street (I believe there is subsidized housing there) which creates a lot of congestion so not the most ideal route. Also, the driveway closest to the playground off of Yosemite street is not very smooth and if you have a smaller vehicle without a lot of clearance room, I would avoid that driveway

The communication is exceptional and the school is amazing. Each of the teachers we have met are incredibly loving and take great care of our kiddos. The building feels very secure and we love the indoor and outdoor play spaces. I have a great curriculum and activity calendar so we can talk to our kiddos about their day and the things they are learning about. Water day Wednesdays are a favorite! They also have extracurricular classes (tumbling, music, soccer) that are fun additions for those who choose (for an extra fee). While we have only been at the school for a short period, we have loved it so far and certainly plan to stay long term! Update (after 6 months at the school): We have absolutely loved our experience at TGS Central Park. We were so thankful to be welcomed and to have our kiddos be in a safe and nurturing environment where they could flourish at TGS CP. We have had great experiences in both of our kiddos age ranges (toddler and preschool rooms). We love that diversity is celebrated every day in the classrooms and that each student is encouraged to be their own unique self. The teachers have been exceptional. They are warm and caring while also helping our kiddos to learn. They are transparent and helpful in navigating parenting toddlers! The leadership team is always so response to our concerns and questions and approach things thoughtfully with the students wellbeing central in all decisions being made. We always feel well cared for at TGS Central Park and recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional care.

The space is adorable--they had me at the little red schoolhouse--cozy but not cramped, bright, and in a separate building from the owners' home, so the space is entirely devoted to the kids. The nap and imaginative play area downstairs is actually restful and dark, unlike some other home daycares or centers, where cots are squashed into the bright main play space and kids who are not sleeping are making noise in the same area. Meals are civilized and wholesome, and it's so nice not to have to pack lunch and snacks or pay a premium for served meals. The curriculum Sarah uses provides fun early learning experiences and promotes the values we hold dear: learning through play and nurturing relationships with caring, interested adults, a balance of structure and free play, healthy, calm, and social meals, and stimulating experiences involving movement, imagination, art-making, the outdoors, and music. Sarah has been extremely communicative and accommodating, allowing us to bring our daughter to come and experience the program for a couple hours one day before enrolling, and staying in close touch now that she's started there. We feel so lucky to have found this sweet place with such a great mix of the structure one might look for in a center and the personal care and cozy environment of a home daycare.
