Every dish we tried was delicious, and it's easily some of the best Ethiopian food I've had. That said, be prepared to take your time. The ordering and food preparation process is very slow, and during our visit the "servers" were literal children. We ended up spending close to two hours there, with most of that time waiting for the food to come out. If you're in a rush, this probably isn't the spot. But if you're willing to slow down and enjoy a relaxed, unhurried meal, the quality of the food makes the wait worthwhile. I'd absolutely come back, just with patience and no tight schedule.

I also added the cheesecake sambusa. Everything was outstanding. The watermelon fries were such a refreshing start. The beef tibs were deeply flavorful and tender. Each of the sides had such great flavor profiles! I first tried Ethiopian food about 12 years ago at a place in Portland, Oregon, and I've been wanting it again ever since. When I saw this restaurant open here in Valdosta, I was genuinely excited to finally have it again -- and now I wish I had gone sooner because I've clearly been missing out. Even as a pickup order, the service stood out the staff was personable and inviting. Everything was carefully packed, warm, and clearly made with care. And the cheesecake sambusa? Unreal, the perfect way to finish the meal. I can't wait to go back and make this a regular spot for my family and me.

Today for the first time i was coming from the coast headed straight west towards Thomasville. I am glad i looked up when i hit that intersection today. I saw the sign on the sidewalk and in the window that said "Falafel" and Mediterranean. Those are keys words for me to go check this place out, if i have the time. Today i did. Corner location in a downtown setting is unique enough. Parked in a parallel parking spot easy enough and walked right in. There's a long sit up diner-style bar, which i love. Theres also tables and maybe booths as well. Nothing fancy and has a diner type feel throughout the whole place. They have beer and wine i saw and i am not sure about alcohol. I was still driving thru so i didn't pay attention. The menu however is very Middle Eastern, Lebanese, Mediterranean, Greek etc. Food was over the top fresh. They took their time preparing my dish as there were only a few people there because of the odd time of like 3-4pm and it still took a little but to get my food. A good sign in my book. I loved everything and I ate everything. The Vegetarian Plate had falafel, grape leaves, feta salad, grilled pitas, olives, rice, and I substituted tabbouleh. If i lived in Valdosta I would come here once a week. Prices are a little high but everything is these days and they do give you alot. I had enough food to split it but i ate all of it. I will consider going out of my way next time thru. Huge DollaBill Recommendation for this place.

Great food, good experience... definitely a worthwhile visit!…read more Came at around 6pm on a Thursday evening, and there were 2 other parties already seated. I grabbed a booth and was attended to very quickly! The menu is varied, but also relatively concise which I appreciated. I chose the meat sampler and added some falafel so I could try a little bit of everything. After a short wait, the food came out and it looked great! Not fancy, but certainly presentable and enticing. The chicken and kofta were really great, and the beef was good but had some inedible chewy bits included. The falafel was BOMB, and the sauces (tahini, tzatziki and house-made hot sauce) really brought it all together. The olives all had pits which I wasn't expecting! The ambiance was nice--diner vibes and a bit "lived in," but I felt comfortable and happy there. I can easily overlook the few shortcomings, because the food, value, and service were all fantastic.

I have to give some shout outs to the staff that took great care of myself and others. First off, Miss Jimekia helped us immediately and continued service with a great smile while also delivering kindness. Then there was Miss Hollie asking if anyone needed anything, while asking in the most sincere and polite way possible. Which again, I must say is something you rarely see in establishments these day. Last but not least, Miss Meia. Oh my goodness, she went above and beyond to help all customers while keeping that beautiful smile the whole time. I have been in the Hospitality industry for a very long time and is very hard to keep that smile and be nice but she did. Two thumbs up or five stars all the way around

From my first phone call with Mia to the moment we walked out the door, the service was exceptional. Managing a large group of hungry, hot, and thirsty athletes and parents isn't easy, but Mia handled it effortlessly. She stayed on top of everything with a smile and made sure no one was waiting for food, drinks, or anything else. She truly made our experience memorable. The food was just as impressive! I ordered the pork nachos, and they were incredible. My husband loved the ribs and mac & cheese. Around the table, the wings and grits were also huge favorites--but honestly, everyone raved about their meals. Not a single complaint from anyone in our group! The restaurant itself was spacious without being overly loud, making it easy for our large group to enjoy our meal together. Even the restrooms were spotless, and the sparkly countertops were such a fun touch. If you're traveling with a large group, definitely call ahead--and if you can, ask for Mia. She went above and beyond, and I can confidently say you won't be disappointed. We can't wait to come back!
