Of course, nowadays there is an increasing number of items for sale at 2 or 3 for a pound, which makes the pricing scheme slightly more interesting. As with any pound shop, some of the stuff is slightly overpriced at a pound compared to what you'd pay in a supermarket whereas some stuff is really cheap. There are some branded products which you'll be familiar with and other products which are of questionable quality. This particular branch is a long narrow shop with stairs down halfway along. It gets quite full, particularly because of the queues at the entrance and that means it can be hard to negotiate around. Definitely one to avoid if you've got a pushchair or wheelchair with you.

So is this one any different? The store is not the biggest out of them all but does have lots of stock and space for you to easily walk round. The staff are friendly and most do try and help you out, but there are the odd few as in any store that just cant be bothered, anything is too much hassle. But apart from that dont let it put you off. The store has mens/womens and childswear as do all nexts. Easy to get to and with free parking there are lots of shops bidding for your money. Next is one of them that will grab your attention and your money if you go in. Stylish clothes with good prices, definately worth a trip. 5/5 for another next store

TK Maxx is where the old kwicksave store used to be, and it really is one of the best shops in town. I have had plenty of designer bargains from here. I would definitely suggest going first thing in the morning as everything is really tidy and the real bargains have been put out! The downsides to this store is it does generally look like a jumble sale if you get there after 10am and you do have to rummage through quite a lot of tat to get the bargains. The store itself is clean and tidy, the changing rooms are also tidy and the cubicles are a good size. The staff are also very helpful.

There is the obligatory perfume counter and a small area selling gloves, scarves and umbrellas. The menswear section is dominated by formal shirts, suits, jumpers and high quality rugby shirts. There is also a small, but ever reducing homeware section to the rear of the store. Upstairs is the womenswear department, again quality clothes, but on the expensive side. On the whole, Beatties is a great place to go for that gift for someone special.

The Tamworth Next is large for the smallish town it's in (80,000 residents at last census), with two stories covering menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, and home decor. Next has a great collection of men's shirts, and £25 per shirt is very reasonable when shopping for my very tall husband, who has very long arms, a broad chest and a thin waist (yes, I'm a lucky girl). They do a Tailored shirt that is slimmer fit through the waist, and has options for 2" longer arms, perfect for my Superman. I recently received a gift voucher for Next, and decided to spend it on some booty-hugging jeans. So I tried on all 12 of the jean varieties Next offered, and found a pair that makes my ample derriere look small, and my American thighs, svelte. For this, I will love Next forever. They have some interesting, yet inexpensive perfumes, but the thing I love most about Next is their shoe collection -- always the latest trends, with some interesting takes on such, and an solid selection of 5"+ heels, which I adore. The staff at the Tamworth Next are very friendly, helpful at the changing rooms, and happy to help or have a chat. There is one assistant manager who's a bit bright orange and dismissive, but the other staff are grand.

A big morrisons on the alvis retail park along with some other big names…read more This morrisons has a petrol station on site which is always a handy thing to have. The morrisons itself has a relatively small car park compared to some, and it shows. Becoming difficult to find spaces after work and at weekends. The other negative point is that it is too close to the junction in and out of the retail park. this can cause problems getting in and out. The posotive points now, morrisions has great deals on as aalways. The other things are the fresh fish, meat and cheese counter. Great fresh fruit and other offers around the store make this a really nice place to shop. Staff are at the worst moderately happy, which means you always meet someone who will helpa nd is chirpy! A great store with excellent staff, shame about the positioning and the junction, resulting in the 4 stars.
