We came here using a library pass that gave us 50% off two adult tickets and two children tickets…read more Our total entry fee cost $42. Without the library pass, we would not have visited and a visit would not have been worth the full price for us based off what we saw during our time there. The EcoTarium main exhibits has some great interactive parts for children. Our favorites were in the third floor, building bridges, watching rats run on a wheel, looking at various rocks, etc. The bottom floor which holds musical instruments from many different countries and an indoor gym play area was fun to explore as well. This floor leads out to a dinosaur statue mini park where you can eat snacks, see other animals, check out the cafe and walk down to the train station and outdoor playground and sand station. I was surprised you needed to pay extra ($7) to ride the train. The tickets are expensive enough to pay extra on top of that seems greedy. But, we were grateful to have free access to the outdoor playground which our kids loved - especially the mud kitchen!

Churches town halls…read moreand libraries The Upton Library is indeed an impressive building. Huge, bulky and very imposing. It looks far more like a church than a library but that isn't exactly surprising since it was originally built as a church way back around 1870. I'm not sure why but for some reason the town hall moved in the building in 1884 and the other parts of the large building were used for various other things throughout the years. Finally in 1972 the town decided the building would be a good place for a library and all the books and other library stuff were moved in. The second floor houses a fine local museum and storage spaces. The library is a fun place to walk around both on the outside and in. Definitely a very cool building with lots of cool stuff inside. Lots of nice places to relax and read or do some serious work. The library also has all kinds of programs including, music, art and crafts and tons of children's activities. Plenty of room to do pretty much whatever you want. The museum part upstairs was closed when we went but the very kind, funny and spunky librarian got the key and let up go up there for a quick look. We didn't linger because we didn't want to become to intrusive. A very, cool library with a very, very cool librarian. This is the classic New England library that has history, charm, ambiance and one very cool librarian working there. A place worth visiting even if it didn't have any books.

As an artist I can tell that this shop is run by fellow artists, the framing examples on their walls are gorgeous and they have a visible workshop in the back. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for beautiful and unique work. They have an impressive stock and were the most down to earth, hands-on framing shop I've visited near Worcester. The woman working there helped me find an elusive mat board I was looking for, completely saving my upcoming art show! Where other shops offered to order it and overcharge me for an entire sheet, she had just enough in stock to sell me the exact amount I needed.

When I resurrected them to present them to a shop, they were refused because of chips in the print. Nothing had happened to cause those chips; it seemed the inks had simply peeled off. I was devastated. With much trepidation I returned to Gaston Art & Frame with the prints. This was my only and last resort. I showed the Mr. Gaston the giclees and explained the circumstances. Much to my relief and gratification he agreed that there had been problem with the print process or the canvas two years ago and said the words I thought I would never hear: that he would do them over. Two years later! Gaston Art & Frame stands by their work! I picked up the prints a week later. They are perfect. Thank you!
