I tell my husband all the time how fortunate we were the day Bill came into our lives. My husband started weekly therapy with Bill about 2 years ago; every so often I would join him and a few months ago I started my own weekly sessions. The work my husband has done through his therapy with Bill has been like a miracle. It has helped both of us to better understand and connect with our children. Before we started our sessions with Bill, our house was chaotic. There was constant yelling and screaming, by us and by our son. He was kicking and punching and we didn't know how to stop it nor did we understand why it was happening. It's unbelievable, the impact Bill has had on all of our lives. We are all calmer, we communicate more, we identify our feelings, and we are so incredibly happy. We talk all the time about how far we have come and how much better our lives are. It has not only bettered our relationship with our children, it absolutely saved our marriage. Bill is so insightful and caring, and he's had an amazing way of getting us both to open up and see things about ourselves we did not see or did not fully understand. He's very kind, and he's also very honest which is so important when you truly want to better yourself. My most recent therapy session with Bill was wonderfully productive; he gave me some advice and as I was leaving my session, he implored me to actually make the changes I needed to, in order to improve my life. Bill helped my ADD/ODD son and I with techniques and positive notes to help him become more responsible for his own actions and gave him ideas on how to handle himself when he gets angry or upset. Bill helped me make sense of complete confusion. He both challenged me as well as gave me a different perspective on the issues at hand. Instead of merely listening and agreeing with me the whole time, he would give an objective take of the situation and explain it the way it was so that I could learn from it. He guided me.
