Let me begin by stating the obvious, when I walked into his office I was greeted with pleasantries and offered a beverage for my wait. The staff was very attentive and informative. Mr Williams was very timely and knowledgeable. He walked me through my inquiry and provided me with the best customer service. I was shocked to finally receive a tax refund as he was able to to legally use tax loophole that I wouldn't have known about had I not come to his business. Williams Accounting is a scam, DO NOT USE! Paid them $425 to file my taxes. Had multiple consultations with them to make sure they had all the info they needed about a month before the tax deadline. Then they went dark on me and I had to call them repeatedly to see what happened with my taxes. When I finally got a hold of Donald I found out they had never filed my taxes! So then they filed them a day late on April 16th. On April 22nd after calling and emailing and texting to try to get ahold of anyone again, they told me my return had been rejected because they don't have a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number). The IRS issues PTINs to tax preparers who register with them, and the fact that they said they don't have one is a HUGE RED FLAG. Donald later called and told me they were mistaken and that they did file them and they were accepted. When I looked at the return I found out that they had disregarded all the most crucial information I had given them from the beginning and had filed them with massive errors that needed to be fixed. They offered to do the amendment "for free," (wow thanks), but there's no way I trust them with even that small of a task, so I asked for my money back. And asked again. And again. And again. After a LOT of excuses from Donald they did eventually refund my money. One of the excuses he gave (in addition to claiming his bank account was frozen and he was unable to Zelle me) was that his CFO died in a boat accident. I guess he didn't realize how easy that would be to validate, but Jonathan seems to be alive and well. So not only is Donald a terrible businessman, he's also a liar. When I first spoke to him he kept telling me I needed to start a business so I could claim tax deductions. In retrospect I now understand that Williams Accounting is exactly that for Donald. A barely functioning business he spun up to evade taxes. The best thing I can say about this firm is that if you hassle Donald long enough and frequently enough, you may eventually get your money back from him, and that's the best you can hope for out of Williams Accounting and Consulting. Buyer Beware! Donald Williams Is a professional con man. He currently has multiple complaints and judgements against him. I gave him a retainer to evaluate my business, and after speaking with the attorney he referred me too, was told I did not need the business evaluation. So less than 24 hours later I told Donald that I didn't need the service and I requested a refund. This was over 170 days ago. He has given me excuse after excuse and has told me he has spent my money and did not have it. He has not made any effort to repay me. I am currently pursuing him legally. Please do not do any business with Williams accounting & Consulting, LLC. He is a fast talker and will take your money. He has no integrity and needs to be closed down. I read more
