They deal in property sales but also a large part of their business is in the rental market, but retail and commercial properties. They give a very high level of service and what is more important they are reliable and honest, they wont tell you your property is worth x if its only worth y and build false hopes. They are really good letting agents and if there is ever a problem, if an answer isn't available immediately, rest assured somebody will get back to you as soon as absolutely possible. They do not return calls so you have to chase them all of the time. The whole company is a farce, they cannot contact their own employees or house owners. One hand doesnt know what the other is doing. Cannot even leave their office to get keys to hold a viewing, apparently it takes 2 people to sit in an office with not a lot going on. Use these if you like being given the run around. They do not deserve the fee they charge. Minimum service for zero quality.

They also have a branch in Yarm…read more When we decided to sell our house last year, we asked three estate agents to come round and give us a valuation. Rentons were the first to come out. The man who came round was very friendly and very professional. He seemed really impressed with the property and gave me a really slick sales pitch. Since he was the first one who had come round I had nothing to compare it with, but I was very impressed. He basically convinced me that he had a list of people on his books just waiting for a property like mine, and that we should have no trouble at all in selling. He also valued the property at more than I expected. With the benefit of hindsight, I feel this was an unrealistic valuation, but I have to say he did come across as very professional, and I was very tempted to sign with him. Their fees were 2%, which was double what all the other estate agencies were asking. Again, with the benefit of hindsight, I think they get away with the high fees because they convince people their properties are worth more than they are. In the end we decided to use a different company, so I emailed the Rentons office to thank them for their time and explain that we had decided to use a different company. Despite this, I received a number of phonecalls from them over the next few months, repeatedly asking why we had decided to go with another company. This really annoyed me since I had already emailed them to explain, but the phonecalls kept coming!

Bairstow eves charge a huge sale fee but seem to be selling a lot of houses in a slow market.They…read morehave a lot of repossesions on their books which i don't know if it's these that are selling or whether they are also selling in normal house sales.They always phone for feedback regulary.I did view a property with them and they were late.They told me when i made the appointment that they had another appointment 15 minutes earlier and may be late but they turned up about half an hour late.no-one from the office phoned to say they were going to be that late but they did apologise when they evenually turned up.

He is from Billingham which is where Im from and what made me go for him to start with but he covers the entire UK so don't worry he can help you out. Like I said he got me a great deal on a fairly small mortgage on my council house (I got a great discount through the right to buy scheme) but he said he does all types of mortgages and as an independent mortgage broker he has access not just to the high street lenders but also many more that ordinary people like you and me don't know about. Great guy and a great mortgage.. give him a call if your after a mortgage.
